Nova was nervous, he usually was but his human had taken him to the park and she expected him to go and run around like several of the other Mokai were, he rarely left her side, even had a little bed set up next to hers so they weren't seperated but tayah had looked so concerned when Nova wouldn't go that he had given himself a shake to puff his fur up and trotted off a little ways. Most, if not none of the Mokai here were familiar but then Nova wasn't great at making friends, he always shied away.

The little fluffy Mokai was back at her usual haunt, the Dog Park. It was probably one of her favorite places as she knew she was safe here. Tabitha and her parent humans were talking with others, and she was busy mingling with..well..herself. She hadn't the luxury of many friends really. She liked to explore and some of the Mokai pets felt that was simply getting into trouble. THey just didnt understand! So the little female was curled in the park with her bone her her paws as she chewed away happily.

Nova noticed another pet, as small as he was and he was so curious that, despite her chewing on a bone (which he would never approach another doing so, he rememebered the bites he'd got back at his breeder's property) he ignored everything and ran over, stopping about a metre away, staring. He'd never seen another so small, she was about the same size as him though she was wearing a human style thing, he thought it was a dress but as he'd never seen a Mokai dressed up, he wasn't sure. He noticed that her eyes were the same color as his and he smiled "Hi" he said simply, not wanting to embarrass himself straight away. She might be small but she could be mean, and make fun of his stutter or worse.

She looked up from her bone, a surprised expression on her face. She had never seen this one before, and most didn't really bother her as they had their own regular friends that ran around. She simply hadn't gotten around to making many friends besides Kip.

"Hi." She responded, her little fluff of a tail wagging happily. If there was one thing Lassie was, mean wasnt one of them. However tempermental and judgemental maybe, Lassie just wasnt an aggressive gal.

"Whats your name?" She asked with an ear perk.

Nova's tail waved slightly when she looked up. She hadn't snarled or told him to get lost, good sign that she was friendly. He smiled when she answered his greeting with a 'Hi' of her own. She was willing to talk, even better. Nova's body relaxed from it's tense position "I'm N..N....N...NOVA" he blurted loudly, so frustrated by his stutter he said his name louder than he'd meant to and his ears went instantly back, he dropped to the floor in case he'd offended

She cocked her head staring at him. She wasnt sure what his issue was but she smiled anyway.
"Hi, N-N-NOVA." She yelled back, and chuckled. "You talk funny." She observed though it was in childlike innocence that she said what she did. She was naive more often than not.

Nova blushed, he hated when others commented on his stutter but he was confused too, there had been no undertones of malice behind them, it seemed to be merely a statement. "NNNova" he said, biting into the stutter and drawing out the first letter of his name. He didn't know what to make of this Mokai, the first he'd seen that was as small as he was.

She cocked her head, smiling at him a bit. He sure was antsy. It made her a bit nervous herself but she cleared her throat and her whole body wiggled when she wagged her curled tail.

"I'm Lassie. I belong to good humans, no matter how annoying the little human is. She pulls my fur. I hate it." She growled a bit but then shook it off. She wasn't an aggressive gal but she still didn't like the idea of her fur pulled at all.

Nova put a paw across his nose to stifle a chuckle when she wriggled all over, he did that whenever Tayah petted him a certain way. "Mmmy human is over thhhhhere" he said, biting onto his words to draw the letter he stumbled on, out, rather than stutter, it helped his paw was still across his nose as he lay on his belly. His ear flicked when she growled "It hurts sometimes if it's tangled" he said simpy

She nodded, looking at him and raising an eyebrow.
"Do you play games?" She asked, wondering if he was like Kip who had shared his bones. Lassie liked sharing games, but she was mighty slow when it came to running. Her humans didn't require her to do much of that.

Nova's head came up "Wh...wh....what sort of games?" he asked, her, his tail starting to move a little, she hadn't made anything more of his stutter or strange way of biting onto words so he got pretty comfortable pretty fast, though he did keep looking back to check where Tayah was, he didn't want to lose sight of her.
