The atmosphere was different, and the fact that the stakes were raised made him even more determined to win. The only downside was that he couldn't have official bragging rights from the fights here, since he couldn't really prove they happened if anyone asked, but that was a minor flaw.
In the end it was about the thrill of the fight, and hopefully, the thrill of the win.
"Look who decided to come play with the big dogs again." Imnir smirked as he saw his opponent across the ring. "It's been a long time, pup." He jeered, waiting for the signal to begin the fight. "Come on then, I'll give you a free shot at me. Hit me with everything you've got. Then the real fight can begin."

Erebus had been rather forward about getting this fight. Pushing and shoving Dorian and each time he had passed Imnir's stall he had made Dorian notice that this was the guy he wanted to fight. Win or lose he wanted to fight this one since it'd be off the books.
Imnir's cocky attitude irritated him. One day this brute would fall or get put down. Hopefully the latter. Instead of responding he let a thunderous snarl escape him.
The makeshift ring was smaller than that of the legal fights. However this didn't bother him. He wanted to fight and get it over with.
Just as the crowd began to get rowdy he shouted, "Come and get me Imnir, or I just might go after that human of yours." Not that it'd be hard to escape this ring and go after her.

Now he'd gone and done it, he'd threatened Naomi again. Imnir had almost been ready to ignore his first offense of making that threat once this fight was over, but no more. He'd teach this mokai that it was unwise to say those words.
"You'll regret ever stepping in here with me." He snarled, "I warned you about fighting me here, now you'll learn the hard way." With that he charged across at the white male, stepping to one side at the last second and twisting to aim a bite right at his soft midsection.

Erebus gave a snarled reply to the bite. At least it had gotten Imnir close enough to attack. Twisting himself around he snarled and went to snap at Imnir before turning his horns on the other male.
Learning the hard way? He laughed. He'd take Imnir's beating for now. "Just a bully." He growled.

"I am the bully?" Imnir roared, ramming his head into Erebus with all his strength, "I'm not the one threatening an innocent!" He raged, his vision beginning to turn red around the edges. No, he couldn't lose control, he had to stay aware of his own actions and not give in to the rage, but this was just too much. "I'm not the one who would hurt one who has done nothing to me!"
"Only a monster would even think of hurting someone like Naomi!"
And there he went, those were the last words the mokai would speak in this fight. He had so much more to say, he wanted to say it with all this heart, but he wasn't paying attention any more. This mokai, he had to pay for what he'd said, what he'd thought. He'd protect Naomi even if it meant doing things he'd regret.

Ok it was true, he was sort of being a bully. Though it was just words, Erebus would rather jump off a cliff than hurt a human who didn't deserve it. How this mokai could make him say these words was unreasonable and incomprehensible but he did. That air about him drove him mad.
Erebus had been lucky he had just barely gotten rammed as he moved to step out of the way, as it something was swaying Imnir's crushing horns from him. With him is close proximity however made it so he literally drove his teeth down into Imnir's neck. Talk only when necessary, get him riled.

Now that he was lost to his inner rage, Imnir was paying no mind to anything, he was only reacting and the only thought in his head was this; 'make him pay'. It was his intention to do so.
Pain shot through his neck as Erebus sank his teeth into him, causing him to howl in a mixture of rage and agony. He threw his massive bulk at Erebus, his own jaws wide and poised to clamp onto any part of him they could reach.

Erebus snarled and went to bite Imnir again as the male clamped onto his shoulder. Well he had sent him into a rage so he'd deal with the consequences, but he was sure he could get a few good hits on his opponent before he was through.

Imnir felt the softness of flesh in his jaws and bit down as hard as he could, holding on with all his strength and shaking his head from side to side in an attempt to aggravate the wound and make it as damaging as possible. As Erebus bit him once more he was keenly aware of the pain, though he had no idea what the location had been in his rage. All he cared about right now was hurting Erebus as much as possible, regardless of what happened to him.

Erebus snarled as the other clamped down harder and this time threw himself as hard as he could into the ground. Enough to do some serious damage to both of them. He could hear the bell ring as he finally managed to slip Imnir's grasp. Dorian looking horribly terribly worried.
Although hurt he grinned at the male and started towards him. That's when he realized things were going to get really bad, really quickly.

Imnir grunted and involuntarily released Erebus from his vice grip as they slammed into the ground, not even noticing (or perhaps just not caring) that the bell rang as he scrambled to his feet and lunged at Erebus again, clearly still going full force with a fire in his eyes.
Before he could reach his foe, however, Imnir felt several pairs of strong arms holding him back, some by his horns and some by his chain collar, yanking on him and shouting at him to stop. He ignored them, though try as he might he couldn't make any progress toward the white mokai as they began to drag him back. He began to thrash about in an attempt to free himself, causing several of the humans to release their hold on him out of shock and fear. He was about to bolt for Erebus again when he felt something else around his neck.
"Imnir, stop!" It was Naomi, she'd grabbed him around the neck in a sort of pleading hug, her voice shaking.
Oh no.
Imnir's rage faded and his vision slowly began to return to normal, his head throbbing and the world spinning a bit from blood loss and confusion. Naomi was crying and holding him gently but firmly, and he knew that he had to stop.
"If you ever think about hurting her again." Imnir panted, shooting an icy glare at Erebus, "I will end you." He gave Naomi a gentle, apologetic lick on the cheek and left the ring with her as she stood, keeping a hand on his back as they went.

Erebus had been thrown for a loop. His threat was just something that he had used to rile the male up. That he attacked even after the bell wasn't expected. Then again some unexpected things happened in the ring, especially in the underground. Though it was Dorian standing looking at the other male while reaching into his coat that made him see how serious it had been. Dorian always kept a gun on him, though it was usually concealed well. The male wondered if this had been serious enough he had though about using it. A shiver ran down his spine; he hoped that Dorian would never use his guns for anything but hunting.
"Control your mokai." Dorian snapped out through clenched teeth. "Or next time this could get a whole lot worse. Erebus, heel."
Then it was over. Maybe next time they'd fight and he'd win.
