Roll a Seven: Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks. This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Genesis looked across the field, the large trees towering over her despite her perch on the trainer's platform. She felt diminished under their large gaze, but was glad, too, for although the field was not one that would particularly help or hinder her own Lucario, it was a nice break from the volcanoes, graveyards, and cliffs she had recently gotten (multiple times, too) as of late.
Erebos thought the same as well, although more for the sake of his feet than anything. It would be good to have fresh grass under the pads of his paws again, rather than the cold cement or burning rocks other fields might have offered, and he waited patiently among the plants for any upcoming opponent.

At this point, Anise was not surprised when Oki wanted to go battle again. It seemed he was really fired up about it. As long as she didn't need to direct him, she supposed it didn't hurt. She she let him lead the way, since he seemed perfectly able to find his own fights.
Oki was wearing the Illusion of a Joltik at the moment as he trotted around, sniffing the air for pokemon he could fight. He caught the scent of one, along with...trees and grass? But they were indoors. Curious, he headed into the forest stadium. He appeared to look around and blink his little Joltik eyes as he tried to find who his next opponent would be.

Anise found that the trainer box in this arena was empty, which meant this side, at least wasn't being used yet. So she took her place in the box and looked across the stadium to see what Oki would face. It turned out to be a Lucario. Wait...was that Lucario familiar?
Oki found his opponent, a dog-like pokemon. He looked up at it and started to Swagger from side to side, puffing himself in an attempt to look tough. Of course, as a tiny Joltik this would look rather ridiculous. He meant it to.

When their opponents came, it took Genesis a moment to realize she recognized the two, or at least the trainer. Last time they had fought, it had been her Rattata against the other's Zorua, and although she held suspicions about the Joltik now, she also knew it wasn't uncommon for trainers to have more than one Pokémon.
"Be careful," she called out warningly towards Erebos. Then, "I'll leave this to you."
Erebos lowered his ears and thrust his head towards the Joltik, uttering a low growl. During his short time here, he had been paralyzed enough to be wary of anything that could cause electricity, whether it be Pokémon or machine, and he regarded the other warily.
When Genesis warned him, he pricked his ears, wondering why she had done so. She rarely chose to dole out any of the sort, and he narrowed his eyes a the Joltik. Although it was puffing up now, it seemed bigger than it really was, and the subtle shadow of a Pokémon that he didn't see caused momentary confusion. Trying to shake it from his mind, he attempted a Calm Mind.

Oki kept up the tough act, rubbing his front claws together like a person sharpening knives. He didn't know if the Lucario would recognize a Hone Claws, or if a Joltik could learn it, but the illusion wouldn't last long anyway.

Erebos growled, shaking the confusion from his eyes. Although he could see the other making strange motions with its claws, almost like that of Hone Claws, his recent confusion didn't allow him to trust his sight, and he shook himself once more, allowing Calm Mind to boost his attack.

Oki felt it was time to get on the offense. He still didn't really know what moves a Joltik would know, so he gave up trying to do what it might and started burrowing under the ground. He tunneled towards where the Lucario was and dug sharply up to hopefully hit it with Dig.

It was now that Erebos grew wary, for although his opponent was still too vague for him to pinpoint the cause of his suspicions, he had fought against and walked among two Zoruas at least once before. Both were quick to put up a front, as he was sure the Joltik now did, for he doubted a Pokémon as small and as ill-prepared for burrowing through the ground as the electric bug was was but an illusion. The pain, however, was very real, and he grunted with effort, struggling to stay on his paws.
Recalling Genesis' warning, he narrowed his eyes and began a barrage of Cross Chops, trying to get the insect to reveal its identity.

As soon as Oki was hit, his illusion fell away and his true form was revealed. Oki was knocked back by the force of the attack, but he quickly recovered and started burrowing underground for another Dig . Oki found it a pity that his opponent hasn't used a move that would be more effective against a Joltik, but not against him. Perhaps some other time the trick would work.

Although the Zorua revealed its true form now, Erebos didn't let up, despite the retaliations he received in return. For a moment, the Zorua disappeared, a hole revealing he had gone underground. However, as soon as he resurfaced and tackled Erebos, Erebos lunged back at the male, another Cross Chop at the ready.

As Oki resurfaced, he was smacked right upside the head by the Lucario's next attack. He fell over sideways, slightly dazed by the force of it, but shook his head and started Diging again before he was fully recovered. It seemed more prudent to get out of reach than to sit there until the room stopped spinning. He rested for just a moment underground before trying to feel the vibrations in the ground from the Lucario's footsteps, then he tunneled upwards in that direction.

Erebos' most recent blow must have affected the other more than he though. His sounds were much easier to distinguish above-ground now, and he avoided the area he knew the Zorua would leap out from.
When he had safely avoided it, he circled back, trying another Cross Chop.
