Candace is the self-proclaimed leader of her group of friends, and was the one who talked them all into going on grand adventures together. She can talk her way into or out of any situation, which can be extremely frustrating to those on the other end of her smooth-talking. Her friends can attest to this as they are often the ones who have to deal with it (and that's what got them adventuring in the first place). But she would go to the ends of the earth to help them, and they love her for it.
Her family insisted that she stay in school until she was an adult instead of becoming a Pokemon trainer, but she never did very well in her classes. As soon as she graduated she started saving up to go off on her own. She spent most of her time doing odd jobs while applying to work at a Poke Center, but never got a position there.
Candace loves to strike hard and fast, and she isn't fond of strategies. If she's in a tight spot, she does everything she can to cling to a chance at a victory, no matter how pointless or stupid it seems.

Shayna Tryst Bradford

Favorite Clothes: Anything leather; martial arts shoes
Shayna is quiet and grouchy. She can suck the fun out of anything, and often does just to be spiteful. But she is also chock full of common sense, and knows how to approach her companions with advice without tearing them down completely. Shayna loves to fight, especially with other martial artists.

Speciality: Computers & Cameras

Eye Color: Bright blue
Distinguishing Markings: Face and arms are dusted with freckles
Favorite Clothes: Baggy shirts and pants; her beanie (which she pulls over her nose and eyes, yet she's still able to see somehow... o_O); her gaudy blue and red shoes. Always wears a necklace Mel gave her.
Amber is a total nerd and often documents their adventures with a little handheld video camera that she brings everywhere. She's even given it a name - Linus. She isn't fond of battling, but she loves taping the battles of her friends. She and Mel have a very deep connection, so when the group splits up to accomplish multiple goals, Amber is always by Mel's side.

Favorite Clothes: When in cities, tight-fitting fashionable things. When adventuring, more comfortable clothes like baggy jeans. Always wears a necklace Amber gave her.
Mel loves everyone and everything. Though Candace is the leader of their group of friends, Mel is the center, everyone is naturally drawn to her bubbly and easy-going personality. She spends a lot of time drawing outfits, and loves Pokemon with pretty color schemes or fun designs. She prefers competing to battling. She's overly fond of Amber and during downtime, she can usually be found trying to mend Amber's clothing or fix her hair.
