It'd taken a while but somehow he'd managed to get a hold of Aurora. Without his ring it was a harder task than normal, and even more difficult was getting there on his own so he was sorta hoping she'd be willing to pick him up at least half way. He told her the route he'd be going sooo if she were to like have to actually meet him anywhere she wouldn't be in the wrong spot.
He sighed about halfway there though sitting down for a breather. Being a cat was hard work, how did ********* do it? For that matter how did Zirconia do it? He tried to rub the bridge of his nose but forgot he had paws and then started licking one of them to clean his face. At least he could take a bath while he was taking a break..... his ears perked up and looked around... wait no an actual bath would be embarrassing....

The news that Azzo had been turned into a cat was.. well.. really hard to digest. She hadn't even heard that such a thing was going on until she got the strange message from Hygiea. But a few phone calls had confirmed well.. nothing other than mystery. Some people had turned into cats. Noone she'd spoken to knew exactly why... or how many... or how to fix things. But Aurora had a few other things to worry about before she could worry about that. Namely a boyfriend in trouble and in need.
She wasn't entirely sure whether or not to go out as Polaris or herself. Would she be able to sense him if powered up? Would he feel like a knight or a cat? In the end she'd decided simply to go out unpowered, knowing she could quickly henshin up if she ran into trouble.
Coat pulled around her she quickly walked across the sidewalk towards the direction he was supposed to be coming from, her eyes scanning low on the horizon. If he was tiny.. she was a little afraid she'd miss him.. what if they'd already passed each other?
The thought brought her to a stop for a moment, looking around before lifting her hands to her mouth like a megaphone. "Niflhel..?"
And after a moment, as if afraid someone might try and ask her who she was calling for. "Here kitty kitty kitty."

His ears twitched when he heard a sound, flickering trying to locate where it was. Then,. he took off, distinctly there was someone calling for a kitty. How he knew that was beyond him but the fact he heard something made him want to investigate.
"Mrowl?" He tested out, it having sounded surprisingly real. He couldn't feel Polaris so he only hoped he wasn't walking into a trap. Jumping on a trashcan, causing it to rattle he stopped to listen, to see if he could hear who was calling. They weren't that far away he thought. Surely the echo of the trashcan would draw their attention to the alley and he could figure out who it was then.

There was no immediate call back with was... disappointing but not particularly surprising. Could he even talk? He must have been able to for the chibi senshi to have known to call her... right? But talking in public was a bit more tricky.
Pulling her coat closed more tightly, she called again, her voice drawing out a few seconds. "Niiiiflheeel?"
There was a clanking of metal nearby and she followed it curiously. It could be nothing... Or it could be him.. or a youma. Either way...
Rounding the corner she called out again, diverting her eyes from a couple who had cast a curious glance her way as they passed. It was so cold out. Was he cold? Hungry..?
An unhappy frown marred her face as she continued to search. Really he had enough on his plate to deal with without all this.
In the shadows she could see something among the trashcan and paused tentatively, cautiously.

He heard his name again and mrowled, seeing what he could only assume to be civilians pass by. Damnit always when you need to talk.... He thought as he waited and suddenly the source of the voice came around the corner.
"Aurora!" He paused looking around before jumping from the trashcan down to the ground and running over to her. He was a slightly largeish tomcat and as he sat down, he had to crane his head so he could see her. "Seriously let me tell you, I don't know how ********* does it."
He looked around the street, both ways before standing up on his hind legs and pressing his front paws to her leg. "Can I stay with you until we figure this out?" His coat was sleek white with a black coat and red accents, and his face held a black mask and a bright yellow star. "I'll act like a plush toy if I have to, just... please?" His eyes grew large and his ears fell as he tried to beg her to let him stay at her apartment. Plus it was very cold out here and he was hungry again...

She'd heard more than a couple guardian cats speak in her lifetime. but that didn't make it any less awkward to suddenly hear such a familiar voice come out of such a tiny and foreign body. Aurora leaned down closer to his height as he hopped onto his back legs, quite accustomed to crouching when speaking to children.
Really he didn't even need to ASK the things he was asking! She had quite assumed it, and wouldn't have had it any other way. But it seemed... atleast for a moment that Aurora Namid was just a little tongue tied.
The small picture on her phone did not do him justice. Though recognizable he looked so much more handsome in real life, and yet somehow... precious too? His markings were lovely, and his fur so inviting. And that adorable expression.
Never having had a pet herself her fingers reached out almost cautiously, hovering for a moment above him before she finally let it settle onto his back, regaining her wits with a soft laugh.
"Of course you can stay with me. Don't be silly!"
She lingered for a moment longer before reaching down to scoop him up in her arms like a baby, lowering her voice to a whisper. "How long have you been like this? Did someone hit you with an attack or something?"
Her questions were serious but her voice was anything but, almost seeming to coo as she pulled him close to her, almost burying him in her coat as she cradled him.

Niflhel seemed to purr with her touch, he smiled the best a cat could, "Good. Great.... uh... Imma have to borrow your phone to call Grams and tell her I need a .... break from my parents." He paused, "She's probably worried sick."
He wiggled when he was picked up not use to being held in such a way. "Uh.... so far? A day or two? Iunno I lost track of time. It's hard when you don't have a clock. I was lucky to run into Hygiea when I did."
He admitted. Pausing, "Uh I think it was more of a something..." He was trying to think of how to best explain what he knew. "Basically I was sitting on a rooftop watching the city go by, and suddenly I shrunk, like I was Alice." He said hoping she'd seen or at least read Alice in wonderland, "There's a little old lady that I think we should get a cat for Christmas. She basically saved me from the rooftop, and she seemed kind of lonely."
He was shifting trying to get comfortable as he was cuddled into Aurora's coat. It was hard to take her serious when she was cooing at him like he was a baby, "You do know I'm not a baby?" He added looking up at her ears having fallen back, almost a bit worried.

Aurora offered him a sheepish and embarrased smile, a bit of color touching her cheeks as he fussed at her and lowered his ears. "I'm sorry. You're just so.. so cute and tiny. I couldn't help myself."
Her arms shifted to try and let him find a more comfortable position. Waiting for him to settle in she turned to begin the trip back home, pondering over all the information he'd offered. A day or two. Shrinking.
When she spoke again her voice was low, hoping only he'd hear her and not anyone else walking by. "We can call her when we get back, no problem. I'm sure she IS worried after everything that's gone on lately.." That look of fretting returned to her face for a moment, only shifting back to something a little more pleasant when she looked back down to him again.
"Are you hungry?" She knew guardian cats could eat more than just cat food, so she probably didn't need to buy anything new for him... But sleeping arrangements might take a little thought. And did he need a litterbox or something? The later question was definately something she decided against asking, imaging she'd receive only the worst possible reaction to it.

Niflhel sighed, "Ah well as long as I'm cute and fluffy." He said in a I forgive you but please don't do it again tone.
He nodded, "Yeah I can't quite dial a phone so it's not like I've been able to call." He sighed, "Well I might could but I haven't tried." Perhaps if the buttons were large enough, his tail flickered in thought.
"... Am I ever not?" He asked thinking that was a slightly silly ques.... well no he did normally get full. "Actually I might eat more now than I did. Or at least it seems like. I don't know if it's cause I run it off or what."
He paused, "soo... uhh guess I'll be sleeping on the couch?" He asked unsure if she'd want a cat in her bed. "You could always give me a bath if you're worried about fleas. Specially since I've been outside for a little while. I'd do it myself but...." He trailed off, while he could probably roll around in bath water he didn't think he could actually get any where with anything.

"I'll dial, you talk." She agreed with a quick nod. She had her cellphone on her now actually, but it was better to be safely away in her apartment before he started talking at length.
Oh dear, he was going to make this very hard wasn't he? The insistance on him being cute even with that grumpy tone. The suggestion for a bath and the image that conjured in her head what with bubbles and towel fluffing and dressing him up in something quite handsome. She was having a very hard time remembering that the precious little creature in her arms was one and the same with her strong and serious boyfriend.
Luckily the dicussion of food drew her back from her thoughts and the potential of making faces at him again. "I doubt you eat more with how small your stomach is right now. Probably more often though with a quick metabolism. But you know me. Just tell me what you'd like and I'll be your personal chef or can opener until you're back to normal."
"I've got plenty of comfy pillows and blankets on my bed. But if you prefer the couch I can always rig up something there instead." There really were no worries about him ever 'trying' anything.. especially in his current cat form. And if she knew he was there she'd obviously do all her changing in the bathroom and whatnot.
With her longer human legs the trip to her apartment was quick and within no time they were inside the building. The heat from the hallways was a warm welcome from the cool night. Pausing at the door, she fumbled one handedly for the key, asking again tentatively. "Do you.. want to take a bath?" She was more than happy to give him one if he was feeling dirty.. and she didn't really want fleas but... despite his kitty body she was just a little worried it might take a weird turn and he might get uncomfortable about the whole thing.

He nodded, "Good. That'll work. If you have speaker phone that might be a bit easier too." He nodded.
His tail flickered, "Yeah but it seems like it. Probably because I am a cat, and I'll eat just about anything you fix." He wondered how good that'd go over with a kitty stomach but at this point he didn't care, he'd seen ********* eat all kinds of sweets and not get sick off it.
"Oh well if you're okay with me sleeping on your bed." He said with a shrug, he didn't mind either way, he just didn't want her to be weird-ed out, when she woke up next to a cat.
He paused when she asked about the bath thing, "Honestly? That'd probably be nice, I haven't had an actual bath since this happened." His ear seemed to twitch at the thought of that. "If you have that dawn dish soap that might be the best, that's what I use for Merlin. The lemon one seems to do well with killing fleas too." He added, giving a small purr when he felt the warmth of the building. Soo much better than being out in the cold.

"A bath it is then." She agreed softly as she slipped into the door of her apartment and quickly closed it behind her, releasing Niflhel to walk as he pleased while she got things ready.
"We'll run you a bath now and then when we're done I'll set you up with the phone so you can talk to your Grandmother while I'm working on dinner."
It was more a statement then a suggestion as she rid herself of her boots and coat and quickly began to gather the items necessary. A couple fluffy towels were pulled out and set on the counter, the soap from the kitchen was grabbed at his request. She couldn't help but smile a little at the thought of him using her fancy and girly smelling soaps and shampoos. It was lucky for him she did have some dish soap that wasn't scented like flowers.
Everything gathered she made her way to the bathroom once more, rolling up her sleeves and starting the bath water. Aurora didn't have a whole lot of experience with washing pets, but she did know about young children and figured it couldn't been too different. She was careful to make sure the water wasn't too hot, and was shallow enough he'd be able to touch the ground without his head being beneath the waters.
"I still don't really understand what could have happened to cause this... Or how we're going to fix this." There was a hint of concern and fretting, but she tried her best to keep most of her worries silent as they continued.
Strange didn't quite touch the weird sensation that overcame her as she set about the task of washing her boyfriend. The very idea of giving her boyfriend a bath was strange. Of gently kneading soap into his fur... It was almost easier to think of him just as a cat and not as the young man she knew lie within the tiny body. As it was seeing how tiny and pathetic he looked while sopping wet it was hard not to coo more, so strange a contrast to his usual stoic and strong self.
She tried her best to avoid getting any soap in his eyes and ears, and when finally he'd been soaped up and rinsed she lifted him up and wrapped him deep within a large and fluffy towel. Rubbing and fluffing him indiscrimentally for a long moment she finally opened it enough for him to pop his head out, being more precise in her drying tactics. He may have noticed the soft look of adoration and content as she worked to dry the tiny and adorable thing within her arms. "Dry enough yet?"
When they were done Aurora made her way back to the living room, digging out her phone and setting it up for him, number dialed and speakerphone on, before she retreated to the kitchen.
What did she have that he would like to eat? Probably some sort of meat, cats... errr.. Azzo liked meat just fine.

Niflhel wasn't use to being this close to the floor, everything looked so different. His tail flickered as Aurora spoke and he followed her around, basically not really knowing anything else to do.
"Good, at least I can keep her from worrying. She'd probably figure it out sooner or later but I'd rather not do that to her." He eventually sat down when she was walking in circles too much, slightly out of the way so she wouldn't step on him.
"Iunno, ********* didn't seem to know much either. So hopefully someone will figure out a way to fix it." He sighed softly, as he watched her bustle around.
Being washed was strange, his ears flicked occasionally when a drop of water got on them. Eventually, they drew down to keep the water from getting in them just in case. This wasn't his idea of fun, no wonder cats didn't like getting baths.
When she started drying him he purred. The towel was nice and warm not to mention the way she was rubbing his fur felt pretty good. He tried not to mind the looks or coo's. When she finished he nodded, "I guess."
He didn't feel like a drowned rat anymore at least, as he followed her and sitting there. While she was in the kitchen he was talking to grams and apologizing for disappearing. When he was finished with the conversation he tried to close the phone so he could hang it up with his paws. "AURORAAA...." He growled at the phone when it refused to be as easy as he'd hoped it would. "This damn thing won't close!" Luckily his grams had already hung up.

She wasn't really too preoccupied with making anything fancy tonight, deciding that swiftness of the meal was probably more important then the gourmet quality of it. Though she'd never actually had many pets of her own.. animals around the farm had seemed to eat a whole lot, so she could only imagine their tiny little tummies got hungry faster then people. And add into this that this was Azzo.. he was probably starving! Poor cuddley adorable little Azzo...
Chicken was grilling in a pan with a few seasonings, when the call came from the living room. At first she thought something was wrong.. until she found the cat wrestling with the phone with a look of pure irritation. A hand lifted to her mouth to muffle the soft laugh that tried to escape her, knowing quite well that this was probably hard enough for him without her laughing at his problems.
Reaching down she flipped the phone closed before placing it on the table, motioning towards the kitchen. "Dinner is just about ready."

His tail twitched until she came to fix the phone. "I don't know how ********* stands to be a cat all the time." He muttered glaring at the phone with his ears down even after Aurora mentioned food was almost ready.
Though it didn't take him long to follow behind her looking around, would she scold him for being on the cabinets? He decided she probably wouldn't and jumped onto one close to the stove to watch. Sniffing at the pan before sitting down. "Ohh Chicken." He seemed to cheer up considerably as he watched.
"I'd ask if there was anything I could do to help... but I don't think I'll be much help."
