Tick.
He'd called ahead, at least, checking with Requiem to make sure it was already he swung around his dorm, that she was alone, that she wouldn't get in too much trouble. Maybe he should have invited her over to Quinn's place, so she could get a good look at the problem for herself, but considering how panicked kitty-Quinn was...well. He'd thought it wiser not to submit her to more embarrassment, to more trouble.
Tick.
Plus, he kind of wanted to be the one to rescue, this time. Petty, perhaps, and maybe just a touch chauvinistic, but he couldn't help craving a little attention, wanted to feel like a hero. Acceptable, so long as he actually succeeded.
Tick.
So he stood under her window, a handful of ragged pebbled in one hand, and flinging them up toward her window. He wasn't much of a shot. Most of them collided against the wall, only half connecting with the glass with that satisfying sound. The last one, hopefully, would sail through an open window as she came to investigate.

and be blue Please quote me in this thread when you tag me back! “Ugh, TOVA!” Becky groaned. “Some weird boy is throwing rocks at our window. Should I call the police?” Tova rolled her eyes at the blonde and marched to the window, spotting her ally down below. She was a bit frustrated – she had known that he was coming, but he certainly didn’t need to bring attention to himself and throw rocks at her window. “No,” she commanded. “I’ll be right back, I’m going for a walk.” “ Ew,” she gasped. “Do you know him? He looks so…ugh. Gross.” Tova rolled her eyes as she marched down the three flights of stairs and approached the boy. She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him off to the side of the building where there would be more discretion – and less of a promise of Becky spying from above. When they were cloaked in the shadows, she henshined up to Super Sailor Requiem. “Next time you need me, don’t throw rocks,” she demanded as she straightened up her posture. “Now what is it that you need?”

He was in civvies as she dragged him off: Veer had at least had the sense not to come to her place powered up. Let her be grateful for that. He blinked as she hauled him along, somewhere between annoyed and bemused, jacket hanging crookedly and a bit sloppily off his shoulders. He looked a mess. But then, he always looked a mess.
As she leveled up, he blinked at her, his mouth tugging down at the corners, maybe just a little bit offended. He didn't henshin up. Not yet, anyway. "What the hell?"
Veer tugged his arm out of her grasp and straightened his jacket as well as his spine, to gain a little height. Sure, she out ranked him. Bully for her. "What's with the attitude? At least I didn't pop out of your mirror or something."

and be blue Sorry for the huge delay! I fail hardcore. "Sorry," Requiem grunted her apology. "Its just a roommate issue. Not that she'd be one for much longer." A grim half-smirk lit up her face, accompanied with the softest single chuckle. Becky McZlutt had been an issue in her life as Devi, and she had overstayed her welcome in her life as Tova. But that was for another day. "You said that you needed something?" she asked. "I'm here to help, but what's up?"

That mollified him some, at least; soothed ruffled feathers enough for him to relax, shoulders rolled and eyes only shooting back over his shoulder one more time. Poor roommate, whatever that little smirk meant probably wasn't good.
Veer cleared his throat, a little uneasy addressing the captain in civilian clothing, but at this point it seemed just as strange to power up. So he adjusted his coat, folded arms over his chest, and settled in.
"Leto and Navi are cats." Blunt. Straightforward. He raised his eyebrows.

Requiem snorted. It wasn't pretty. What the hell did he mean that Leto and Navi were cats? Was this some sort of joke?
"They are pretty cool cats...," her words drifted as she contemplated what he could actually mean. There was, of course, the literal meaning (which in this case, was true), but it sounded much too farfetched for her to believe at first mention. "Is that all you wanted to share?"

Instead of irritation at her glib reply, Veer's eyes lit up with something sharp and amused, arms folding over his chest. Let Requiem joke and make light. He was doing the right thing here, and no one could say anything about that. He'd ventured out here alone, in the dark, and stood outside her window, and he'd barely even cheated with the windows.
"Nuh-uh." He raised his eyebrows, not quite smirking. It was smug. Probably a bad idea to be smug at Requiem. "I'm talking like a foot high. Four legs. Furry tails. Cats."

Requiem snorted again, an even uglier snort that before. Wait, was he really serious? How...? What....? Her jaw slowly dropped as she came to the realization of the truth.
"H---how?" she cocked a brow. "What happened to them? Did the Senshi do this?" Were the Guardian Cats to blame? She knew little about the Guardian Cats - were they turned into cats just like her allies have now been turned?

Yes. Very smug. He folded arms over his chest, rolling his shoulders in his leather jacket and flicked a look around the place. Maybe he should be in uniform. As it stood, if she thwacked him a good one -- the way Leto would if he had that look on his face -- it'd hurt like a son of a b***h.
"Not a damned clue. They're at Leto's, just now, I think. The hope was that you'd have some kind of helpful suggestion, but..." Instead, she seemed inclined toward gape-mouthed babbling. Veer shrugged.

"I honestly have never heard of anything like this," Requiem said, her sentence turning into a bit of stressed grumble. She facepalmed, trying to think just what could have caused this, but nothing came up. "I'll have to see it for myself to get any real idea, but I'm not sure. We can only hope this is temporary. Leto and Navi are too good of soldiers to lose." "They are at Leto's? We can get to there easily," Requiem nodded. There were a few mirrors she had set around her dorm for easy travel, and she was familiar with the mirrors at Quinn's apartment. "Lets get moving." She grabbed Veer by the wrist and marched off to the mirrors with him in tow.
