Username: Flight l e s s Sparrow Name you wish your pets to call you: M'Lord Bio: Kyo is the first born son in his family, but was always a little bit more delicate than his father would have liked. Desperate for his father's affections, Kyo would try extremely hard to please him, growing strong in mind and body, but never managing to appear more intimidating in looks. His mother became very close to him, as his father was distant. Kyo learned everything he needed through tutors or his mother and eventually gave up on his father. During the war, Kyo proved himself to his father when his sadistic side showed. He became known as "Satan's Angel," as he was a demon in battle, but an angel to the public and in civilized company. His father finally took him under his wing, but Kyo would always spend his spare time with his mother. Kyo had a few girls chasing after him in the court and has fooled around in secret, but his habits suddenly stopped when they discovered a spy in their midst. Kyo killed him by draining his blood when it was found the man had a particularly useful ability. Kyo hadn't wanted it, as he was well aware of the consequences of simply taking an ability without the natural mastery of it, but upon his father's insistence, the deed was done. His relationship with his father has been strictly business ever since. Appearance: [x] Powers: He has all the natural kicks of being a vampire: super speed and enhanced strength, sight, and hearing. When Kyo drinks from a victim with supernatural abilities, he takes one of them for a certain amount of time. However, the amount of time with which he can use it all depends on how much blood he takes, to what extent he uses the ability, and how much power he puts into it. For instance, if he bit a fire elemental, he would be able to manipulate flames for a short period of time. But if he used it all in a burst for a powerful attack, his use of it would only last in the moments he used the ability. If he takes all of a person's blood, however, then he is able to use all abilities they might have at half the strength they could wield them. Lastly Kyo has the ability to, through skin-to-skin contact, acquire knowledge from others. The ability is one that he stole from a spy in their household, so it isn't nearly as strong as it was originally. But he can learn one thing at a time through each piece of contact. However, the ability causes him some pain, and the larger the piece of information he collects, the more it affects him. As a result, Kyo tends to wear gloves the majority of the time. Room Description: [x] How often you're online: almost every day, but replies will only be made if my post has been quoted Your pets names: n/z

Chloe shuffled her feet along the expanse wing where the Masters and Mistresses dormed, her long pink bushy fox tail trailing behind her. She turned her head from one side of the hall to the other, seeking in vain for one familiar door in particular. As she moved she realized just how long she had been gone, how little of these names she recognized and it caused an ache in her heart. How selfish she was to leave so suddenly without word, without asking for help. The fox looking girl continued to walk, when a scent, more clear and fresher than the others, was picked up by her nose and she followed it to a door which was barely closed. "Hello Hello?" she called aloud, while lifting her hand and knocked loud and firm on the door.

A tapping on the door. And so soon? Had he not only just gotten settled? With an irritated sigh, he cast a level glare into the mirror above his water basin.
Whoever it was, they had better be female.
Turning, Kyo adjusted the sleeves of his white, button-down shirt, smoothed his slacks, and then brushed off the black coat draped over his shoulders before taking the three steps to the door. He pulled it open and was about to snap a rude insult before he stopped and quirked a brow.
So it was a female.
"Hello to you, too," he murmured, stepping back and opening the door further to admit her. "Are you, perhaps, lost?"
So odd... She had a tail... Like a wolf or something. Perhaps fox? He detested canines, but she was quite the peculiar thing. Odd things intrigued him more than his disgust for the canidae family.

Chloe had taken a small step back as the door opened, and she was greeted with a sight of a Master. Her ears flicked from side to side before settling, giving him a once over with her light green eyes. A wave of slight unease washed over her, between gazing upon this Master's countenance and the feeling he was staring at her long, pink black tipped ears and the pink, swaying tail behind her. She squirmed on the spot, a feeling of speechlessness the woman had not experienced in quite some time, nay, not once since she had ever come to live here.
"Hello, and no, I am not lost. I was looking for the room of an old friend, whom appears to no longer be here, when I noticed someone else new had come through the hall not to long ago. I only wished to say hello and welcome you to Mistress Risa's mansion, I apologize if I am interrupting," she said, and clasping her hands across the front of her legs she dipped her head in a respectful bow towards him. As she stood, her eyes momentarily darted from his gaze, to the door opening before taking another step forward into the room.
This was the oddest greeting she had ever encountered, very much different from the many other Masters and Mistresses she had greeted upon their arrival. Her tail lowered, wrapping around her leg as her ears folded back against her head involuntarily in the presence of one who so far, gave the aura of a very prim and proper individual.

Kyo shook himself mentally. These half-breeds were not uncommon. Honestly... Perhaps his mother had been right. He did need to get out of Haeide and experience more of the world.
"Hello, and no, I am not lost," she said, giving him a slightly quizzical look. "I was looking for the room of an old friend, whom appears to no longer be here, when I noticed someone else new had come through the hall not long ago. I only wished to say hello and welcome you to the Mistress Risa's mansion. I apologize if I am Interrupting."
Kyo blushed slightly as he realized how rude he must have seemed, nodded at her bow and clicking the door shut behind her.
"I see," he murmured. "And, no, you are not interrupting... I had only just finished settling in and was a bit surprised. It is nice to see that the occupants of this place are quite friendly. My homeland is very different... Please. Make yourself at home. My name is Kyo Haeide. Can I get you something to drink, perhaps?" Kyo gave her a classic, gentleman's smile, guiding her out onto his small deck of sorts. He had requested a place to sit privately with a guest in fresh air, as he hated to be cooped up indoors and couldn't stand being in the presence of too many individuals at one time.

Holding out her hand to shake his warmly, her eyes lit up and dancing with laughter. "Hello Sir Kyo, I am Chloe Nalar. I am a pet in this mansion." Chloe smiled in the instant that this male called Kyo took on a different air. She tucked her hands behind her back as she stepped into the room, her eyes gazing about in more detail at the decor he chose. She had always enjoyed seeing what the other occupants of the mansion did with their space, as she found it to be an interesting view on their personalities. "I see, well if you need any further help, I'd be happy to. You'll find this is a very friendly place, we all help each other and take care of one another," the woman said, with a rather cheery note to her voice as Kyo led her towards the deck.
Her tail swayed with excitement and after a moment, the tail began to shrink away and the two ears slid out of view until they had disappeared, leaving her as a very plain human. Before she took a seat she turned around, "Yes, I would like some water, if I may," she said and then she took a seat. She looked around, enjoying the cool air of late fall and gazed at the bronze and amber colored leaves that had fallen over the estate.
His mention of his homeland, and how the mansion intrigued her, obvious as she had canted her head to the side after a moment with a mask of curiosity "Where do you come from, Sir Kyo?"

"Chloe?" Kyo echoed. "Hm. A nice name." he gave a small, almost knowing smile, then opened the door for her. His lips twitched down at the helping each other part. He was not accustomed to helping others nor receiving help. Especially not the latter. He sighed. His mother's words were proving to be painfully true already.
Kyo raised a brow as her lupine features receded. What an interesting ability. Hs was half tempted to try it by drinking her blood, but as acquaintances, that would be rude.
And her request to drink water? Downright odd. But if that was what she wished for, who was he to question?
"Water you shall have, in that case," he said, going over to the nicely stocked bar on his porch. He grabbed two glasses and filled the first with water, the second with brandy, then offered her the crystal clear liquid before he, too, sat.
Kyo took a sip from his own glass and replied, "Where do I come from? Haeide, of course. I am the heir to the throne," he said.

"Thank you," the woman replied with a kind smile. She had kept her head tilted as she gazed at Kyo, wondering more and more about him. He had an odd way of speaking, and his manner of acting led her to believe that perhaps he was not quite that used to interacting with people so casually. Perhaps, she thought, if they gained a better acquaintanceship, she would be able to inquire more.
"Haeide? Heir? What's it like there? Are you a prince?" she was shooting off questions before she could stop herself. She had always been a most curious girl. Earlier, the look towards her ears and tail disappearing had not gone unnoticed, and with a playful grin, just as easily, they slowly protruded again. Just as pink, soft, and fluffy as before. "Thank you for the water," she said, taking the glass from him and she took a long, grateful sip to cool her throat. Talking so much sometimes left her parched.

Kyo laughed at her onslaught of questions directed at him. "It's a farming country. Rolling plains, patches of forest, and a small mountain range. We have warm summers, rainy autumns, harsh winters, and colourful springs," he answered smoothly as she drank from her glass. "And, yes, I am a prince." He took another sip, then set down his glass on a nearby side table.
"But the life of a prince is quite boring. Please, tell me about yourself? I would love to hear anything you have to say," Kyo said, relaxing into his usual flirtatious and lazy self.

Perhaps anyone else would have found Chloe odd for being more impressed by the description of Kyo's homeland, than his station of a prince. She was so much more for the natural world, it was just a part of her care free nature. She closed her eyes as she sat back, just imagining it in her mind's eye.
"Heheh, I'm afraid my life isn't much more entertaining. I come from a happy family. We lived in a small village, and taking after my parents I tried the military for awhile. But alas, I was just too.. bubbly, you could say. So, when I was done I left and began to travel. After a few years of learning and exploring, I came here. And.. as a regular human," she paused at this point, a hand lightly reaching up to pet at her own ears with a coy smile. "A friend cast an enchantment upon me, so I could shift between a regular girl, to being half fox.. or a little ball of fur. But that's all I can do. And I like that. I think compared to most of the other's here, I'm rather normal," she giggled heartily and stopped to take another sip of water. Sitting back, she crossed her legs to get comfortable. "I actually just returned, I... left, for a personal reason and was gone for quite some time. But I missed it so much. I missed my friends. I missed home."

Kyo nodded slowly as he listened to her, looking genuinely interested in all she had to say. Though he found it dull. The part about being enchanted to have the same abilities as a weaker shifter was interesting.
"I happen to be friends with a man who can change from his human form into any fox, wolf, dog, jackal, or coyote in the world. He is a very talented man," Kyo mused as she finished. He gave her a knowing grin. "And I will not probe into your... personal reasons for leaving. And I most certainly know what it is to miss home." He laughed once. "My mother insisted upon my coming here. She claims that I need to get to know more people... To experience more cultures and personalities than there are found at home. I'm afraid to admit she appears to be quite right. You have surprised me in a most delightful way, Miss Chloe."

Chloe's eyes lit up. As happy as she was to be 'normal' she would be lying if she said she wasn't a bit envious of her friends here and their various talents and abilities. "Perhaps you'll get to visit home soon. Like they say, home is where the heart is. But you'll never know where that truly is until you've visited more places," she told him, her little ears laying flat against her head as she set the glass of water down. "I would have to say your mother is correct, Sir Kyo. There are so many different personalities here, and being a Master will teach you plenty of caring and building solid friendships and relationships with so many different people. I really encourage you to look around and meet others," she said with a grin and beamed even prouder at his last words. "I'm glad I could be of help, Sir Kyo. It's been a treat to speak with you."

Kyo tilted his head this was and that. To visit home sounded like a grand idea. But he would be lying if he said he was in a hurry to return. After all, he had only just arrived here. And his mother would turn him away again without hesitation if he said he had only met a single person.
"Perhaps when I visit home, I will bring someone with me," he ventured hesitantly, playing with the idea in his head and growing fonder of it by the minute. He gave her an approving smile. "And you're quite right. I'll never know where my true home is until I happen to stumble upon it. And sometimes not even then."
He laughed quietly as she voiced her agreement with his mother. Not much of a surprise there.
"I will, if you insist," Kyo consented, making a mental note to flatter this one more often. It was quite entertaining to see her beam so radiantly. "And it has been a treat to speak with you, Chloe. I will heed your suggestions."

"That might be nice. It would let your mother see that you're meeting people, making new friends. I'm sure she'd be sssooo proud of you, Sir Kyo," the girl chattered away as a chuckle rippled through her voice. She lifted her glass again, and drank thirstily, as she had just arrived and unpacked herself and the task of moving her and her roommate's luggage into the mansion had left her a touch dehydrated. With a lick of her lips, her tail tucked itself into her lap.
"I've thought about going home a few times, but.." her voice trailed off. She herself hadn't been home in quite a number of years. It had taken her quite some time to just find her two siblings again. They had taken up residence with her once, but alas, their separate paths had led them away once again. Her ears drooped momentarily as the smile left her lips for that brief second to exude a soft sigh. And just as quick, she was back again, smiling up as she brought her gaze to meet his. "I do insist! I think you'll really like it here. If you'd like, perhaps one day I could show you around the mansion and the estate," she said and she stood to her feet, once again bowing her head in front of him.
