~::The Tower of Babel - Tower of the Black Messiah::~
Though it is not present by day, during the Dark Hour it is impossible to miss the monolith rising through the sky itself not far from the location of the Junes Building where the ruins of Tartarus still linger during that hidden time of night. It is a tower with golden arches and a singular rise, dark walls pitch black, and a gate that is always open to those who wish to test themselves inside of this den of shadows. Demons often come to dwell on the lower levels here, even quarreling on occasion with the shadows, making this tower into a den of evil of all sorts, a constant struggle to endure the hardships of both battle and the rigors of the Dark Hour itself. It reaches higher than any sensor can possibly fathom, and though it is the haven of the Black Messiahs, even they have no explored the entirety of the tower to this day. Still, they call it home, and somewhere on the upper levels their leader, The Shadow of Soji Seta, reigns and continues his expedition higher into the upper levels in search of the heavens and the gods the Tower was meant to reach.
It is a place where summoners, persona-users, devils, and all supernatural sorts of beings can go and train if they are able to endure the Dark Hour. However, there are secrets on the upper levels which cannot be accessed by just anyone. Only with the proper [Key] can you access the highest levels of the Tower of Babel, but reaching those levels anyway seems an impossibility. Though the floors do not shift, the opposition is much more persistent and diverse.
...
Here is the Tower of the Black Messiah. Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Though the tower of demise had fallen Shadow Soji still won, the Black Messiah still won, this was their first victory against the I.team, and with Shadow Soji as their leader more victories will come for sure. Still there was a lingering feeling, a feeling that has been known for quite a while, and it was failure. It is true that they have won this battle, but Kazuma had done something wrong, he had let the enemies go by him. But it wasn’t an enemy that he was facing, it was his sister, it was the reason as to why he went to come over to the other side. Facing her was not expected, and giving her the key…that was basically saying that he had lost the will to fight. Kazuma had never lost his will to fight, until now. Simply giving her the key to move ahead had casted shame on him, whether it was worth it? He did not know; fact of the matter was that he had failed his master…again. All he could do was roam around the lower levels of the tower of babel, with a lit cigarette in his mouth. Even though this tower was the new headquarters of the Black messiahs Kazuma was quite unfamiliar with it. The function was the same, he assumed so, as he could feel his powers more honed than usual just like in Tartarus. Still it was vast and unknown, completely unique, the black knight had to wonder what dwelled within here. He could sense it, something more than shadows that lurked around the corner, but he could not give any specifics. He just continued on walking, filling his lungs with nicotine only to release the smoke through his mouth. Showing his face to the others would be a shameful thing, he knew this, which was why he stayed around here in the lower sections of the tower. There was a bad thing about showing mercy when you are with the shadows, they would think that you are not worthy enough to command, thinking that they could destroy you. This example was about to be put into use as a knight type shadow galloped along, approaching Kazuma much to his dismay. Another tried to see Kazuma was weak enough to be beaten, the third one this day, did they truly think he had soften that much? It didn’t matter to him, let fools come, Kazuma would welcome them by with his fists. He ran forward to meet the Avenger Knight head on! Lightning already charging in his fists, and once they impacted a blast quickly followed. Electricity sparked and flied around the area and from the smoke Kazuma stood, “Know your place.” That was all he could think of, before wondering off again.

This tower was just full of surprises, from shadows to actual demons; this was the first time that Kazuma had contact with such creatures. Unfortunately his first meeting was with a few incubuses flying overhead, leaving Kazuma on the run. They snickered and crackle at this unusual man trying to get away from their playful attacks, deeming him as a coward at the same time, but Kazuma just didn’t have time to play with them. He was summoned by his master, and being late would cause….unspeakable things to happen. He looked back, there were three of those red winged demons, and to make matters worse they were throwing fire at him; agilaos to be specific. Kazuma actually manage to get to the stairs, making big leaps to avoid the fires, this was just getting ridiculous! Turning while in midair he thrust his hands out and blasted a mass surge of electricity towards the demons, “Don’t screw with me!" Two of the incubuses moved out of the way, leaving their ally to take the full impact of the maziodyne and ending its life. One down, but there were two to go, the black knight grumbled at their continued meddling. First the shadows were trying to pick him off, and now he had demons on his tail, was this some sort of irony? Or maybe even Karma? Kazuma didn’t care what it was, the only thing he knew was that this was burning him up inside. An Incubus decided to try his luck by diving in close, grabbing Kazuma by the hair and pulling. This halted his movements for sure, but this was a cowardly move, and it wasn’t holding him still for long. The other Incubus took this chance to charge ahead while Kazuma was distracted for a close range maragion. Clever, using one as a distraction, while that other attacked, but this was in vain as Kazuma manage to grab the demon off his head and threw it at the other incubus with all his strength. The two demons collided and was dazed for a moment, more than enough time for Kazuma to leap forward drilling his fists into both of their stomachs. "Die. " Lightning exploded out from his fists, obliterating the demons and sending their ashes in the wind. The nuisance was over and Kazuma was finally at his destination, Floor 666. His master was on this floor, the thought of seeing almost caused his heart to freeze with fear. The thought that he would be punished for what he had done in Tartarus filled his head, but he wouldn’t make excuses for himself; he deserved it. Entering the floor he went onto his knee, " You summoned me ?"

Youki
In response to the Master's summon, a stream of spheres flowed into the room, and flickered to the form of one of the Master's more loyal servants. In an organization like this, it had to be taken for granted that there was often a certain degree of self-interest on the parts of the people inside of it. Not many were quite as willing to be obedient in the higher degree, and though he waited for now, Youki's mind was carefully considering things. I believe I have prepared for our next encounter, little girl... and my patience will be worth it when I finally hear you scream in despair. Amusing though it was, for a thought, the swordsman's face remained impassive. He merely waited for the words of the Master, largely ignoring the rest of the chamber.

"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial This tower....was strange. Stranger than the last, that was for sure. The black haired small girl didn't waver though. She ran. Luckily, Kuro's small frame made for good speed when she really ran. She could have brought her bat with her, but she was getting more and more used to settling on her sword, as well as the jacket she had found. It looked like one of those sniper jackets, and it fit her...okay, well, not well, but she could still wear it. It pretty much fit her like her sweater usually did. Kuro left no room for mercy. Her head didn't let her stop running either, she left behind wounded demons, slowed by a single strike from her sword, or by the ruthlessness of Fenrir's rage. She had a place to be. Floor 666. Luckily she was the farthest thing from religious, the only thing that gnawed at her head was Shadow Souji himself. But it was the mere power he had gained...it made her more loyal to him, but likely all that loyalty was out of fear more than anything. Fear of him and dependancy on these people. She slowed, catching her breath a little bit as she looked on, more calmly walking onto the 666th floor once she had gathered her head. Kazuma and Youki were already there. Her eyes focused at the main focus of the floor though. She stopped, breathing inaudible as she waited silently.

Teros merely grinned as he strolled nonchalantly through the tower of babel, a single white feather being rolled between his fingertips, the base of the feather stained a deep red. He had encountered some amusing creatures as he made his way to his masters throne room, stupid creatures, but amusing none the less. With wings so white and hearts so pure, they banded together! They struck at the evil that had pervaded their floor, and with the combined force of their good and might.... they perished, unable to even scratch the ominous passerby. And thus, as Teros flicked the last bloodstained feather behind him, drawing eyes to the trail of white and red that had followed him, he chuckled stopping in front of his master and starting into a deep bow, an arm crossed over his stomach, and his head held low and staying there as he got down on to one knee until he was given permission to stand once more. "As you wished master,we have gathered." He says, merely craning his head farther down as he awaits his masters words and explanations.

Shadow Soji Tower of Babel - Floor 666 [Heretic's Throne] They were all gathering before him as instructed, such good followers and servants they were all becoming; perhaps they were worthy to become his own pantheon of fallen angels once he had ascended to the top of this tower and claimed the throne in Heaven for his own. Time would tell whether or not they were up to the tasks that he had for them, and if they were to live or die would merely dictate whether or not they had truly been useful and worthy to follow his cause after all. Such was the nature of the inferior, those followers who clung to the strong were tied to the fates that their masters chose for them. You fought as they desired, you won as they desired, or you died as they desired. Here were some of the more loyal variety amongst his followers, coming at his call swiftly, like little moths beckoned towards the flame...as though the flame itself were their lord and their lives somehow enriched by the appearance of the flame before them. His lips curled, his golden eyes spying those whom he wished to most 'honor'...a glance to his side called for his Champion to join him at the Heretic's Throne, a golden seat that the shadow had fashioned for himself, a sort of waiting point between ventures upwards in Babel. He could have ascended forever without tiring, but his followers were less durable than himself...he took that into a vague consideration and thus his throne was borne, a king in the underworld mocking the deities above that he would soon rise to crush. It was symbolic of his ambition...nothing less would do. But that was not the reason to summon them back to their checkpoint, the Heretic's Landing. No, time had passed since the night on Tartarus, but the victories that night had not yet been forgotten.
"Shadow Champion, Black Knight, and...the rest of you. The time has come to pay the debts I owe you from our victory several nights past. I've had time to consider all that has taken place...the breaking of my arrogant friends, our successful temptation of so many of the fresh soldiers into the ranks of the Messiahs...and the time has come for you to receive your just desserts," the shadow smirked, motioning with his hand to the floor as several circled runes appeared before him, each with an inscription that called out to a different Messiah, "Step into place before me, as I call your name, and as I have already rewarded my Shadow Champion, so shall you receive your due payment." Again, it wasn't a request...it was a command. They were being summoned to stand before him, runes which practically pulled at the power inside of them and lured the shadows themselves onto the very spots that glowed on the tower floor beneath them. He waited, standing before the throne with a calm about him for each to understand his orders, and then called out the first of his servants who would receive their payment in full.
"Adomachi Kuro, my Black Dagger...step forward and receive what you have earned." Quote: [Kuro Adomachi] has been called to step forward onto the [Dagger] Rune!

Șαɳѳ Gαʃʃɇɳ I used to have ɗrеαmѕ..≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ The Tower of Babel was interesting indeed.. It replaced the twisted ugly tower that was there before and they were in the midst of taking over it. He simply rushed past what was in his way as he made it to the floor they were supposed to meet on, 666. Heretic's Landing it was called, it seemed to fit them perfectly but now wasn't the time for those thoughts. Shadow Soji called them there for a reason. He remained silent as he listened to him speak to them, bringing the runes to his attention. Seeing Kuro being called forward to stand on one of them gave him only a small idea of what was happening. Perhaps all of them had to stand on one of them for a certain reason. Was it part of a ritual to gain their rewards?..he could only wait and see. ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ But now it seems like a faraway ℳеɱσɾყ.

"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial Kuro looked at Shadow Souji as he spoke. Yes, arrogance...the way that one she saw spoke. Maybe she was making too general of a judgement based on just one guy, but his words just made her teeth grind. He thought he knew, he really did. He didn't.
Her eyes flickered to the things that rose in front of Souji. her eyes automatically were drawn to one of them in particular. A reward? She really bit back her questions this time. She sort of wondered what they were about to receive. But as she wondered it, her name was called first. She blinked, snapping out of it, and flinched when she did come back to reality. Her feet moved, as she nodded and strode forward, stopping in front of Shadow Souji, onto the rune that had so pulled at her for reasons she was sure she wouldn't understand even if they were explained.

Bon Ichisaki Bon briskly walked with hands in his sweatshirt's pocket, keeping his hands, and whatever else was in there, comfortably secured against his stomach. Slitted eyes and a smile remained on his face as he walked through the tower. His persona was a being of 'light' and even though it was not summoned, it's glowing power managed to seep through and attract the shadows of the tower. But, as the boy reached the required floor, he looked as content as he was when he first entered. Bon was not actually in attendance the previous night so he would probably not be rewarded for that, but he would not ignore an order to assemble if it was made by their great leader. As he arrived, he bowed his head and took a solemn knee, his face was not serious but he knew that ,whenever he was around their leader, it was a serious matter. He caught a glimpse of the runes and 'throne' before bowing his head, it was all pretty fancy... Admiration is the furthest thing from understanding..

Shadow Soji [Tower of Babel - Floor 666 (Heretic's Throne)] "Adomachi Kuro...you are quite a cunning little actress, aren't you? I did not miss the performance you put on for the wannabe hero and his mute little girlfriend. The looks of betrayal in their faces when you stabbed them in the back proved to me that you are a worthy friend and ally to all of us. That's why I will present you with this," the shadow's voice abated and was replaced by a swirl of shadows from the rune beneath the girl's feet, climbing and twisting about her body until uniting again within her hands as a single object...a twisted, obsidian handle with a blood-colored edge to the black-silver blade, it seemed to whisper false promises straight into the very minds of those who came in contact with it, "Dagger of the Betrayer, a blade I've taken from the most deceptive of shadows and forged into a weapon fit for the one who will become my personal, Black Dagger. Dig this blade into the backs of unsuspecting foes and you will reap the rewards of your cunning. You have a gift for being underestimated by your enemies and taken for granted, but we will not do either. I trust you will use this well, in service of the Messiahs." And with that the rune died down, the shadow motioned with his hand for the next of his followers to step up beside her in this procession of gifts.
Now the rune which glowed was to Kuro's right, and it beckoned to another of the Black Messiahs.
"Gallen Sano, my Black Paladin...step forward and receive what you have earned." Quote: [Sano Gallen] has been called to step forward onto the [Shield] Rune!
[Kuro Adomachi] has received the [Dagger of the Betrayer]!

"Kuro" Adamochi The Borderline Artist In Denial Kuro watched the light form into a dagger in her hand. Her fingers moved slightly over the twisted handle, her eyes examining the gift. Her gaze traveled to Shadow Souji as he spoke of what she'd done in Tartarus. Her betrayal. The most literal interpretation of stabbing someone in the back, or trying to, at least. Even if she never got the chance to truly get offensive, she'd proven her worth with something, at least, and they'd noticed that. She took his words to heart for once. No, they wouldn't underestimate her here, but others would. But that didn't have to be a bad thing. In fact, for them, it could be a very, very useful thing. "I will not disappoint." She said quietly, bowing her head slightly to Souji before falling silent and letting him move on to the next person.

As his master glanced towards his side, the silent command was understood, Teros rising once more and stepping over to stand next to the throne of his master. He grinned as his master spoke of rewards, remembering his fondly, the power he had been imbued and trusted with, his new form more than an acceptable reward for his deeds, he thought of these things and started watching with much interest at what the rest of the messiahs would receive, smirking amusedly as the first girl was called, the one he had recruited. He nodded along as his master gave her praise, agreeing with it and nodding at the dagger she received, knowing it wasn't just some pretty blade. Yes... their congregation of darkness was growing nicely. As the next rune activated, Teros listened again, noticing once more that this was someone he had recruited chuckling very lightly so as not to interrupt his master. Well, With this many new people, it looked like someone would need to take the more recent members out for a test run with their new toys soon... and Teros would be more than happy to oblige, it just sounded so amusing.

Samara Nakagawa The Witch Let me stay, Where the wind will whisper to me, I know now what lies beyond my sleeping refuge, The nightmare I built my own world to Escape
The summons drew Samara from her slumber, from dreams shrouded in shadows and mist. The tiredness that had weighed down her limbs before melted away in an instant as she leaped to her feet. She did not want to keep her leader waiting. No her new found loyalty to this group would not allow her to disappoint them, or at least not again. The dark haired girl couldn't help but recall how disappointing her fight had been on Tartarus. A low growl of distaste sounded in the back of her throat as her fingers found the handle of a beloved pair of scissors and squeezed it tight. Dwelling on those thoughts only made the swirling rage with in her want to grow. Her blades longed to taste the blood of those who dared to isolate and discriminate against those who were gifted. The ungifted masses and their poison tipped tongues needed to be dealt with. A shiver ran up Samara's spine as she approached the group on floor 666. She proceeded to watch with awe and admiration as Shadow Soji spoke and called Kuro, rewarding her for her cunning betrayal; it seemed it was Sano's turn next. The witch was quite content just to watch them for now.

It was a shame he couldn't beat Dan and that mute that was with him. Next time would be different, he was getting stronger and whatever reward he was going to receive would help greatly. The Black Paladin.. It had a nice ring to it. The man stepped forward to take his place on the Shield Rune, awaiting what would happen next. It seemed their master was over looking their lost battle and praising them because they beat the team in the end. Sano glanced over at Kuro before looking back at Shadow Soji, giving him his full attention. ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ But now it seems like a faraway ℳеɱσɾყ.
