Roll a Twelve: Graveyard Field:In this particular field selection, the stadium ceiling is shut tight, covering the entire inner area of the stadium in a veil of pure darkness. The ordinary dirt field is swapped out for a field full of grave stones scattered across the lifeless soil. Near the northern end of the battle field, a single withered tree stands hunched over as though in constant mourning of those who rest for eternity here. A dense fog weaves in and out of the headstones and hinders vision. The fog itself seems damp and heavy, like the tears of the living mourning for the lost. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GHOST and DARK type attacks.

Walpurgis strode forth in the darkness, his cloak following silently behind him. As his eyes adjusted to the lack of light, he noted tombstones scattered about, with a large tree in the middle of the stadium.
With a smile, he grabbed a pokeball from his belt, unleashing the rattata contained within. The rattata also smiled, a large, fang-baring grin that would send shivers up one's spine. This field benefited Gangrel greatly, for he loved the darkness. This would be a good fight.

This wasnt exactly the place Syt felt comfortable in, but she guessed it would do. Kneeling on the ground where her trainer box was, she let her Rattata run down her arm to land on the ground.
Turning to her opponet seemed to match this field well, so this should be an interesting fight

Watching the other rattata come into the graveyard made Gangrel jitter with excitement. To fight another rattata meant a fight on equal footing, and to him, that was an interesting fight.
Without waiting for directions from his trainer, Gangrel lurched towards Orchid, his fangs elongating and sharpening with each pitter-pattering step. Jumping forward, he opened wide.

Not expecting an attack so soon, Orchid's ears went back and she let out a squeel as the other Rattata's fangs sunk into her. Shaking him off, she whipped her tail around, sending a rock hurling in his direction.

Gangrel flew back from the rock's impact, sliding on the moist soil of the graveyard. He grinned. [Yes, this is fun. Let me have more fun!] With an excited chatter, he too sent a rock flying at Orchid.

As the rock hit her back, she rolled slightly before getting back on her feet. So thats how he wanted it then? So be it. Orchid, not being one to pick up, launched another rock at her opponent.

Gangrel nimbly dodged the flying rock as he sent another towards his counterpart.
[Take this!]
Walpurgis looked on as the two rattata sent rocks flying everywhere. It wasn't very interesting, but it was fun to watch in it's own little way. He decided to just let them go at it as they liked - it wasn't often that Gangrel had so much fun.

The rock slammed into her, causing the Rattata to roll across the soft dirt. Shaking some dirt out of her fur, she turned to face her opponent once more, chattering in annoyance.
"Orchid, Blizzard!" Closing her eyes, she concentrated on lowering her body temperature. Lowering it as much as possible, she ran forward, breathing cold air towards the other rodent.

Too late did Gangrel realize that the other rattata was using a personal favorite. The style of use was different, and he did not have time to dodge the frigid onslaught before being frozen in a look of sheer "OH SHI-".
Gangrel glared from within his icy prison. The other rattata had better make this shot count - she would NOT get another chance.

Gangrel broke free of the ice in time to be hit square in the chest by the flying rock. Flying backwards a few meters, he shook off the remaining bits of ice.
[Hey, Orchid! That attack was pitiful! It's too bad you're not stronger! If you were, it might not matter that you smell funny!]

Gangrel was shocked at the concept of a suicide dive, flying backwards from the other rattata's force. He bounced a few times, such was the power behind the strike. Going through a tombstone, he slammed into the tree, and Walpurgis could only gape in awe.
Crawling to his feet, Gangrel held a look of murder in his eyes. He ran to the fallen rattata, and Walpurgis fumbled for his pokeball. "This is bad, bad, baaaaaad...!"
Gangrel's paw came up over Orchid, swinging down...! Walpurgis closed his eye, fearing the worst - and Gangrel pat Orchid on the back. "Wut."
[That was an awesome fight. You are worthy of being called my rival. If our trainers will allow it, I would be overjoyed if we could fight again sometime.]
Up in the trainer's box, Walpurgis stared blankly at his rattata. "Again, wut?"
