WE ARE HALLOWEEN  Life Hunter
BATTLE ARENA
The portal opens up into an observation room, and down the stairs, an odd chamber for something like hunter training. At the center of a piranha-filled pool stands a solid stone table and several chairs. The Life Arena was built underneath the demolitions and ballistics testing areas, and the chamber rumbles with the occasional explosions above. Pinpoint red lasers sweep across the room regularly, as if hidden snipers are searching for a nice target. In the center of the table sits a wooden tower, made up of smaller wooden blocks. Yes. That's right. The Life Hunters prefer to train via Jenga.
Note: Distraction techniques and Yo Momma jokes are considered viable weapons when playing competitively.
If you fail: you have knocked down the tower! A small dart hits the back of your neck. You come to several hours later, and hope Dr. H didn't do anything to your body while you were unconscious. When you look into the mirror...
If you win: you have reached 50 points! You get a sharpie marker to do with as you please. peen points go to those with the highest scores.
Mechanics
- by carefully removing pieces of the tower, you earn points and advance to the next round. As the rounds continue, the odds grow steadily against you. Rolling a 1 at any point means you have knocked down the tower. Please do enjoy your mystery dart. Anything after reaching 50 points is purely for peen.
- you may roll pieces individually (suggested for group play) or in batches of 5 (basically, a full round.)

Bonus Mechanics
Life Hunters train for precise hand eye coordination and exceptional judgement, thus they have a slightly lower chance of knocking down the tower.

Before didn't know what to do. After seeing those tombstones and force-feeding himself an unhealthily large serving of guilt-pie, Before only wanted to stop being such a ******** liability to everyone. Or at least work his way to becoming less of one. Caelius didn't give him any useful advice, though no surprise there, for a leader, the Death Hunter was exceptionally unhelpful. Before was beginning to think that Caelius wanted the trainees to keep failing, but that was ridiculous! Maybe his methods were just unorthodox?
The Life Hunter trainee needed to do something to keep himself occupied. If he tried to mope in his room, Jude would undoubtedly manage to sniff out his Eu de Angste and there'd be another spar and ugh Before was still recovering from the mission.
Why don't you go and train yourself? I seem to recall you reading an announcement that you were granted access to some.
That sounded like a great idea! Except he didn't want to go through it alone. Being alone was bad for him. So, Before decided to go to the dorms and find him a willing partner! Oh! Speaking of partner... maybe Story (the trainee formerly known as Tori) wouldn't mind joining him? Oh crap he didn't know what room she was in :<<<<<
Wait! Phone! Yes! Quickly, he typed her an invite to meet him at the portal leading to the Life Hunter Battle Arena. Hey, why not? They were both Lifers after all 8DDDD

After her first mission of not having handled a weapon in her life had started a training regime to have more practical knowledge instead of book knowledge that had come from all her reading growing up. As she didn't want to be in that type of situation of no knowing, as she must know all she could and Aklin was very willing to give pointers and help her out to get better.
Tori had just gotten back from said training and was quietly rereading one of the books that she had brought with her and making lots of notes. To which Aklin thought was a little boring to him and would every so often ask questions really annoying ones.
Finally she had gotten into the reading zone. Then her phone vibrated in her pocket in which made her really jump to which made the chair fall backwards landing herself and it on the floor with a small bang.
As he laughed at her as he thought she deserved it for not answering his questions.
I'm not use to having a phone with me all the time, it was something I wasn't aloud to have. She had retorted back as he was still chuckling at her as she looked to see who it was. It was from Before wanting to do the Life Hunters Battle Arena and was unsure about going.
If Aklin could grin he would be now as asking questions was what he loved to do.
Nooo! Whining a little as she didn't want all those questions as she would never get quiet time. Alright you win! I will go. As I do think that Before is a very nice person anyways, so there.
So she quickly put her things away and quickly replied to Before that she was coming.

Not too much after she had sent the message did she finally get to the designated portal that he wanted to meet her at. She was getting better at finding her way around and spotted Before and walked up to him.
"Heya, Before!" she said quietly rubbing the back of her head. Still a little unsure of thing but she was a lot better around him than others right now because the mission.

Before brightened when he got Tori's response. He was dreading that she'd turn him down or worse ignore his message completely, leaving him like a fool to wait at the portal for hours before he finally got the message that she wasn't interested in having anything to do with him. Has that happened to Before before? That was more than very likely >.>
No, stop thinking those thoughts! That happened a long long time ago back when you were still Milton. You're Before now. You should be getting better at things. He grinned and waved to the girl that arrived, "Hi Story~" he greeted, before gesturing to the portal. "Hope we can get some good experience from this training. Never, uh, never really did anything like this before... Sooooo... Shall we?" 83

Giving Before a strange look when he had called her 'Story' and Aklin chucked at that new nickname as he thought it was cute and she didn't mind it at all she gave him a little true smile for the new nickname. "Me too as it will all be very interesting," she replied as she wasn't too sure about the darts if they failed but it was all for good experience.
"Ummmm...I haven't done anything like this before as well. I can bet that you have done more things that I have ever done in my life," she added as she lived such a sheltered life that everything here was practically new to her or had only read about it. "Yep lets do it!" Tori said as she was a little excited to be try something new and went threw the portal with him.

Before gave the older girl an encouraging smile when they emerged on the other side. "Ah! Good! We can fumble around together!" Teal eyes suddenly fixed on what they were up against and... Before promptly QQ'd. "J-Jenga?! R-really? Ooooh not good ;A; not goooood..." he whined.
If it was meant to be easy, silly Before, it wouldn't be training, would it? Vanna chided.Good point... He conceded, turning to Tori "Well, here's goes nothing..." 8P and proceeded to take the first piece with success. Status Round: 1Pieces Taken: 1 Total Points: 1

Aklin was still chucking in her head as she saw that encouraging smile he gave her as she smiled a little more back at him as his smiles were infectious. "Yep we can," she replied as she heard him whine about the training as she had played it once and failed at it badly. "Well it could be something a lot worse too, but I have only played Janga once before," She added as it was when she was small and didn't really understand the rules. Tori watched Before quietly as he took the first piece with success. "That was great and here I go," and she had also taken a piece with success as well. Before gave Tori a thumb's up when she successfully managed to pull out a piece. "Nice one!" he cheered before he took a deep breath and set about taking his second piece. Smiling a little sheepishly as Before gave her the thumps up. "Thanks," she replied as she watched as he started to take another piece from the wooden tower. "Good one!!" she cheered. Taking her own deep breath as she reached to take another piece for herself. Seeing that the tower hadn't fallen when she had taken a piece and was glad that Aklin was letting her have quiet time. Before flexed his fingers, studying the layout of the blocks as he circled the tower, and made soft little hmmmm sounds. If Vanna had eyes to roll she would at her partner's dramatics but it was amusing, she reluctantly admitted. The little vote of confidence from his weapon encouraged Before to pluck a block near the middle and he let out a soft eep when it wobbled slightly.
"Whew! That was close!" he declared, wiping his brow. "Do you know any random info or trivia about towers or blocks or buildings? Maybe some fairy tales?" he asked.Status Round: 3Pieces Taken: 3 Total Points: 3

Tori carefully watched as Before studied the blocks and kept quiet, as she also had been studding the tower as well to see what block that she would take next. She gave a little gasp as she watched the tower wobble slightly, hoping that it wouldn't and was relieved that it didn't. "That it was, but still doing good none the less," she replied back as she thought on his question as Aklin chuckled and saw the piece that looked good and carefully took it from the tower. But it started to sway a little once the piece was gone and Tori eep as she watched and thankfully it didn't fall but it was close. "That was also a close one too," she said as she sorta fiddled with her blocks. "Well I do know that the Eiffel Tower shrinks 6 inches in winter and on the first platform there is a restaurant there that is called Altitude 95, because it is at 95 meters above sea level." "I do know a lot fairy tales, but did you have any specific ones in mind?" she asked while gathering her thoughts more as those had been some of her favorite stories and myths in general as when she was younger it help her cope with all the monster shadows she saw. Before listened in keen interest as Tori began to talk about the random information he had asked for. "Aaaah Paris, city of love, and food portions that leave you starving," he joked, "You ever been? To Paris? Or did you travel much before you, you know got here for your permanent vacation?" he asked, absently reaching for a block from the more stable portion of the tower.
He managed to place the piece without it wobbling as he mulled over the fairy tale portion of Tori's question. "Hmmm, well, the only tower-thing I can remember is Rapunzel. Hey! Why don't we take turns telling it? Giggling a little at Before's description of Paris as it was so just totally true. "Well you so true on that one!" she replied as she didn't know how he was going to take her past when he asked his next question. "Well I never been to Paris proper. I did travel a lot, but I never hardly saw the places I have been as I was always locked in a house forbidden to go out," Tori said a little sheepish about it as she scratched her face nervously. "But I will tell you this I prefer my permanent vacation a lot more," she added as she looked over the tower to take her next piece. Carefully she took a piece as she held her breath that it wobbled a little but then stopped as she carefully let out her breath as she set the piece down with the others she had pulled out. Tori nodded as that was a good story and he was right about that as she could feel Aklin getting interested at the prospect of a story. "I think that is a wonderful idea and Rapunzel is a good one as well. So did you want to start or did you want me too as I don't mind either way," she replied with a little smile one her face. Before blinked at Tori, "You prefer your permanent vacation to your old life?" He honestly didn't know what to make of that. On the one hand, they were on a mission to help rid humanity of all those nasty creature-things. On the other, they were risking life and limb for no appreciation and consistent berating from their supposed leaders. "You haven't been on a mission yet... Tell me that after we've gone and gotten ourselves killed," he murmured.
Silly Before, this might not be the best time to be distracted... Vanna reminded him.
"A-anyway, I can start the story telling! It always starts with "Once Upon a Time", right? So. Once upon a time, there were a childless couple. Or was it a husband and wife? Anyway, the wife was pregnant and was having cravings for rampions. Apparently it was some kind of veggie. Never had it myself," Before chuckled, motioning to scratch the back of his head. Unfortunately, his elbow snagged against the tower.

Tori eyes when wide as she watched the blocks fall as she did feel that she might have caused it to what she had told Before, as it was on how she felt. Watching as Before slumped onto the table and was totally out as she total didn't know what to do now, but thought that she would stick around and wait for him to wake back up. She did feel that she did have to explain herself to why she said that as it was only right and for a fact that she sorta understood to what he was staying but she still felt that she would feel the same way.
