The day was warm, the sun hung high in the sky casting gentle warmth to the ground below. There was a soft breeze that danced through the streets picking up leaves as it did so. The forest was cast in the colors of fall, oranges, yellows and caramel colors painted the leaves making a beautiful backdrop to any scene. There was a lack of general insect life, hinting at the fact that winter was long around the corner. But for today, fall had given up its chill hold and allowed some warmth back into the land. This caused people to be out and about in mass floods. Which while great for them it wasn’t really Kaiv’s thing. He liked people, he liked them quite a bit but he would much rather be out exploring than congregating in some park talking about the old days.
He had taken that morning as a good sign and set out across town towards the forest. He had planned on exploring deeper into it for some time now. He had gone a little ways in not that long ago but had been called back due to some miscalculations on his part. It hadn’t been a wholly unproductive day though. He had at least learned that the forest hid quite a few things that he hadn’t thought about. It was a bit harder to navigate then he had first expected but none of this really mattered.
He gave a small smile, and nodded to himself. He would conquer the forest this time and learn all its little secrets. He set out into the wood as he had been standing on the edge of it this whole time staring into its shadowed depths. He wasn’t really much for paying full attention to where he was going and thus just sort of walked in whichever direction struck his fancy. He wasn’t in the woods very long before he realized he might just be a bit lost. “Oh dear.”

Mina watch the young witch venture into the forest once more, she stayed up in the trees as she followed him quietly. After awhile, the witch had gotten lost and had stopped near one of the fox holes. Mina climbed down the tree silently and snuck up behind him, following his movements like a shadow. She wondered if he would notice or not, she was really bored today and wasn't sure what to do.
After a few moments, Mina spun around in front of the witch and grabbed his hand to spin him around too. "Hiiiiiiii I see you got lost again? The name's Mina, I know this forest through and through." She stopped spinning him and let him go carefully so he didn't fall down the second she let go. She stood in front of him and giggled a bit, he looked like another coty person. She had bumped into a lot of city folk recently in the forest.
"Sooo where'd ya come from? And what brings you to the forest again?" She stood and leaned forward an backward as she waited for a reply. If the witch wanted to explore, it would lead to something to do instead of sitting around waiting for the foxes to roam around.

Kaiv had been inspecting a rather strange flower when a lady appeared next to him making him jump almost clean out of his skin. He did give a rather unmanly squeak as he looked at her with wide eyes. He was even more shocked when she nabbed him and spun him in a few circles making him just a touch dizzy. “Hey now, I’m not lost. I’m just following a different path. It’s not lost until you start saying it is. So I am not lost.” He said holding up a finger before looking at her curiously… wait. “Again? What do you mean lost again?” He asked suddenly catching on to the fact that the last time he was in the woods he hadn’t been approached by anyone and thus she couldn’t have known about the first one right?
“Again with the again? How do you know I was even here before? I haven’t told you I was… so how do you know?” He crossed his arms and looked at her quirking a brow up rather high. It was one of the few times he looked even the least bit serious or ‘imposing’. “I’m out exploring if you must know, Mina. I’m looking for something, anything the secrets hidden here. I am from well a lot of places but most recently I suppose would be the town. Though I grew up in a small town on the edge of some woods, so I guess you could say that is where I came from. But..” He waved his hand as if the rest of this ramble wasn’t really important and he was thus waving it away and to somewhere else.

Mina giggled a bit and swished her tail back and forth behind her. "Well just because you think you're alone doesn't mean you are, there are many animals and people here in the forest, some are both, like me!" She took a step forward and looked at him again, he did look lost even though he hadn't admitted it. He did seem a bit stirred up by the fact that she had kinda spied on him but she thought it was kinda cute how he got lost again. Her ears perked up for a moment as she heard another fox walking behind the bushes, she loved how they could sneak around and be so cunning.
Mina laughed a bit more as he tried to look imposing, it made his face look all scrunched up. "Ohs! Maybe I can help look for the thingy ya wanna find! I love looking around for things." Mina pulled him along through the trees again, she was bringing him to another area where she had found a lot of odd looking things. She really wanted to turn into a fox and just run ahead but he might get lost again. "Well this is a good place to start, lots of odd people come here when the moonlight is almost completely blocked by the trees."
