Mia Chevalier was wandering through the library of Makai Royal Academy, browsing at the thousands of books on every subject. She had only arrived two weeks ago, which was kind of an odd time, but it's just how things had worked out. She had come right after the end of the Ball, which she was a little disappointed about, but she was sure she'd get another chance to go next year.
The bobcat mononoke stopped here and there, pulling random titles out and accumulating a rather interesting pile of books. She still hadn't really met anyone here, due to all the excitement from the Ball and the murders, although things were settling down. Mia, despite her bright and sweet personality, was often a little shy at first, especially when she was in a place with a lot of people she didn't know, so she had come to the library to find new things to read before she got up the courage to go try and make friends in the common room or the cafeteria. With an "Oof!" the girl hefted her finds onto a small table in the reading area in order to sort through them and narrow down what she wanted, since carrying a stack of ten thick volumes all the way up to her room was probably not a plausible option. Mia put a finger to her lips as she began to put the books in different piles, trying to decide which ones to take.

Kalypso pulled the book cart around the library picking up discarded missplaced books and putting them on top of the cart. She was working in the library today which she absolutly loved doing. It gave a chance to be around many different books. Just going down the aisles gave a joyful feeling. She started to push the cart with the books over to one of the bookcases to start to categorize them and put them on the right self. She was making her rounds out each of the aisles of bookcases when she saw a girl gathering books in her arms and taking them over to a table and putting them in piles. Kalypso didn't feel any bad vibes coming from the young girl. She approached the mononoke. "Hello would you like some help with anything?"[/b
She usually didn't approach another person without first making sure the person wasn't gonna be mean and nasty to her. She would pick up on them whether they were nice and kind of if they would be downright rude to her. So far all she kept getting from the mononoke was that she was a nice person.

Mia looked up from her piles of books as she heard someone approach and ask if she needed help. The girl gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry, this must look strange, huh? I'm alright, I'm just trying to figure out which books I should read first. I can't carry them all to my room," she giggled.
The other girl looked to be about her age, a fellow student. Mia noted the eyepatch, it was hard not to, but she refrained from commenting or even indicating she saw it. As a mononoke, she was used to being stared at and asked questions about her ears and tail, and while it didn't bother her, she knew of one or two others who hated their features being mentioned. That went for other people with uncommon things about them, too, often. So, just in case it was a sensitive subject, Mia simply carried on like normal.
"I'm Mia, by the way. I only arrived a week or two ago. It's nice to meet you," she said with a smile, looking at the other girl in her visible eye. Her gaze was piercing, but not unkind, and Mia had no sense of foreboding about her. Hopefully she would turn out to be pleasant, as Mia thought she would.
