Silent's Vague Roleplay Ideas This is where I will toss my other roleplay ideas, to be fiddled with and rearranged as necessary. Feel free to add in comments, concerns, questions and etcetera. These will NOT be as detailed as the Chaos roleplay. That one's been taking up most of my non-school-related attention for the past two months, 'cause yeah, I get bored in class. These are just random ideas that I thought might be fun to toss around - and working on them in here might also help me make them into actual roleplays instead of just vague ideas. I might as well note here that I have a mild obsession with things that are found in the Uncanny Valley, as well as the supernatural. Ghosts, things that go bump in the night, quasi-human AI, creepy children, they're all good. There will be a lot of that kind of thing. Go with it. They'll be fun. <3 Also, I'm totally going to have one post in here that is dedicated to all Chaos Children-related secondary ideas. Because having a whole thread about it wasn't enough, apparently. I'm sorry, I'm obsessed. >.>

Series-Based Stuff So I'm normally not too big on series-based roleplays. However, I've got an entire roleplay in my files - all written out and ready to go - for the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. Have you read this? You should read this. Right now. No, seriously, right now. Go find it. I'll wait here.* *Not recommended for the emotionally/mentally immature or anyone under thirteen. Contains a ******** of dark themes. The world is complex and beautiful and I really enjoy it - but those same things make it really hard to describe, so in order to set it up here, I would need some assurance that some people have actually read the books. So for now, this one is a maybe.

Fantasy-Based Stuff Shepherd of the Damned: A roleplay inspired by Breaking Benjamin's Give Me a Sign. Go listen to it; it's beautiful. Anyway, so this would be an angels of death and humans RP, mostly. The angels of death are looking for their lost god, the Shepherd of the Damned. :3 The longer they go without finding him, the more of their abilities and strengths are slowly being stripped away, and if they don't find him soon, they won't be able to gather the souls to go on to the next life. That means that one of two things will happen: 1) No one will be able to die. They'll just get older and sicker and weaker and more shriveled. Forever. 2) People will still die, but their souls will be trapped wandering on Earth, unable to go to their next life. Forever. The Shepherd has taken on the human form and lost himself among the humans. I still haven't quite decided why, but I'll get to that. Thoughts?

One on One Roleplays So I'm not usually huge on these either. BUT. I want to recreate an old 1x1 that I had with a friend who hasn't been online in some time. It's basically about assassins. Yes, I know, ORIGINAL. But it was fun. There are two guilds who are in competition with one another, since they are the best two. In each guild, there's one assassin that outshines the rest. These two have a rivalry second only to the one between the guild leaders. There's a third guild that used to be the best of the best, but it had sunk into obscurity (for reasons we'd explore in the RP). It's coming back now, and it wants to get rid of the little upstarts that dared to try and take its place. So that's the basic layout. >.> If you're interested, lemme know.

Romance-Based Roleplays I'll be honest. Roleplays where romance is the be-all and the end-all...I don't have ideas for them very often. I'm just not very good at that. However, I have an idea I'm tossing around wherein we take all the cliche romance tropes and play them out as they would happen in real life, with real people - which is to say, they would be HORRIBLE. It's not much more detailed than that yet, but I'll play with it some more and see what comes out of that.

Institution-Based Roleplays I have the vaguest beginnings of an idea for this. Something about psychic children and a 'boarding school' that's really more like a jail. They're told they're going there to learn how to control their powers, but they're really just being taken there to hide them from the 'normal' people who think that psychic powers don't exist. The 'classes' they take actually hinder rather than help their powers; why teach the kids how to use the powers better when what they're trying to do is get rid of them? When the kids 'graduate', they're separated into two groups. Those who have had their powers hindered so much that they are basically normal people are allowed to return to society after having two procedures done: a highly experimental drug is given to them to cloud their memories of their childhood and school years, and they are surgically sterilized. They're returned to the 'real world' with a flickering and uncertain memory, and no possibility of ever creating more children like them. Those who have managed to hang onto their powers? They're taken to the 'nurse's office' and they're quietly euthanized. "For the sake of humanity," it's claimed. Needs some more work, but I think this could be kind of cool in a WTF SILENT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU sort of way.

Horror/Mystery-based Roleplays So I have an idea for this one that's vaguely based on Children of the Corn. :3 The short story, of course. Not the movie. So. In a slightly alternate universe, the humans of one small country have been very, very bad boys and girls. They haven't been performing the proper rites and sacrifices to their heathen gods. Said heathen gods are pissed, and they show it - flooding, plagues, crops failing. They demand that if humans want to save themselves, they must sacrifice their future. Their children. Some of the adults obey. Some refuse. But the children have been paying close attention, and they decide that they want to live. So instead, they make their own offerings and sacrifices - and fairly soon, this sacrificial war between parents and children wipes out the adult populations of most large villages. Those that haven't been destroyed go into hiding or flee across borders to safety. The gods are amused by this, but their words have not been correctly heeded. Therefore, they decide to force the bloodshed to continue - the children must destroy all of their past. All adults currently living. They must keep adults out of their country, whatever the cost. And when they reach adult age, well... No adults means no adults. :3 Thoughts?

Secondary Children of Chaos stuff :3 Yes, I'm obsessed. It's a sickness. A SICKNESS, I tell you. - So this isn't as much an RP as the others, but I'm vaguely tossing around an idea of actually writing the story behind the Creation myth. What I want to know is, if I do that and it gets written and I'm happy with the final product, would you guys want me to put that story where you can read it? Or are you happier with just having the Creation myth, and not knowing how much of it is truth and how much of it is embellishment?

You were right. It totally is 'kinda both but kinda not'.
I thoroughly enjoy the psychic-quash roleplay idea. I think it's something that we can seriously make twisted and horrifying. You might wanna make that a horror-mystery roleplay as well.

Is to give the players control; meaning this would play out as an Institution role play where the characters live in this situation. 2. To control the entire role play as one person; meaning that characters are subject to responding to a main characters actions, making this a Horror role play. For the first one, its much easier to pass along. The second one requires one or two people being consistant with the story as antagonist as to keep the mood going. Again, thats just what I think.
