After everything that had happened they had finally started back into a normal routine. Or at least as normal as it could be. When Mitsu wasn't in class or spending time with Shun or her friends she was training. She had been filled with a new drive to become stronger. It wouldn't be her fault, she wouldn't let anyone else get hurt. Safe to say she was probably bordering on being a hypocrite for getting upset with Shun for over-training. Sleep didn't come easy when she was in her own room so instead of trying she would practice the moves that Shun had shown her, blocking and the few simple punches and kicks the reaper had gone over. It was hard to say if she was getting better though other than the fact that she no longer fell over or lost her balance. At least not often.

Somehow the lack of sleep wasn't effecting her too badly, but she noticed a since of slow paced brain process, the inability to think clearly at times. She needed a break despite the fact that she was supposed to go to the Shun's dorm to study.

With a sigh she looked at her pile of books and papers, staring at them in an unfocused way before she thought of another idea. It was good to take breaks from studying every now and then, it allowed the mind time to rest for a bit. Hoping, or rather knowing, Shun wouldn't mind, Mitsu stood from her seat on the bed and grabbed up her keyboard and carefully slipped it into its carrying case. Maybe he would play music with her for a bit. As a back up plan Mitsu grabbed one of the books she had been reading. They could always have story time. The book she had was easy enough of a read since it a teen fiction so not a lot of thought process was involved.

Keyboard over her shoulder and only the one book in hand Mitsu left her room and headed toward the reaper dorms. In through the main entrance and up the stairs and she was finally at the familiar door. It still felt weird to just welcome herself in, even though she had a key, so she knocked lightly before messing with the door handle, turning it slowly. "Shun?"

Stepping into the room Mitsu closed the door behind herself before heading toward Shun. Looking back at the case over her shoulder she nodded. "Y..Yeah I thought we might take a break from studying...if that's okay?" It wasn't like she had brought her books but she could always run back and get them.

"Actually," She looked at the floor shyly, suddenly fascinated with the tips of her shoes. "I was wondering if you would play some music with me." Shun didn't seem big about playing around others but he had played his guitar for her a few times. Maybe he would be willing to play some music with her. Playing the piano (keyboard) was always calming. It was something Mitsu didn't have to put much thought into, her fingers just took over and it was as natural as breathing.

It wasn't a no but it wasn't really a yes either. Mitsu's brows furrowed wondering if he didn't want to play or was really worried he wouldn't be able to. "You play rather well." She said hoping he wouldn't sell himself short on his abilities. "Besides, I don't mind how it sounds I just....I want to play some music with you."

Setting her book down on the bed she carefully shifted her keyboard case off her shoulders and set it on the floor. She hoped Shun would consider playing at least for a little bit, if not though she could just play for him. It still allowed her to play and for someone she cared about no less.

As soon as Shun agreed Mitsu's face lit up with a smile. Kneeling down in front of her keyboard case she unzipped it and removed her keyboard with care. She was excited to play something...anything with Shun. It didn't matter what it was, just knowing that she was making music with him was thrilling enough.

"Sheet music?" It only took her a second to realize why. Shun had trouble reading words clearly so she could only imagine notes were no different. But to be honest, "I...actually didn't bring any." Mitsu said as she set her keyboard on her lap. If she was good at anything it was remembering a tune. Her ears could pick up on the faintest note and place it and play it back. "I figured we could just..." What was that expression people used? "...flap it?" Okay so she was lost on expressions, but music she was good with.

"Uhh..." Mitsu's face flushed with embarrassment. Yes...wing it sounded much better. "I...I believe so." She tapped her cheek nervously, a gesture she used to do when she had her mask. "I..I guess I got mixed up somewhere."

Smiling a bit sheepishly she made sure her keyboard was on and that the settings were correct. Before she got started though she looked at the reaper. "Would you like me to follow you or would you like me to start?"

Shun didn't say anything more but Mitsu couldn't help but catch that slightly amused look on his face. It made her blush darken as she tried to focus back on her keyboard thinking of something that might be easy to follow.

Her ears picked up the subtlest of noises though and the lycan looked up just in time to see Yang land on her keyboard eyeing the clavier with interest. When he stooped to peck at a note she smiled, reaching out to pet the bird lightly. "Hello Yang. Your feathers are coming in nicely." She cooed.

"Oh, he's okay, Shun." She mused. He wasn't sitting in the way of her hands. "He just wants to help play." Curiously she wondered if she could teach him a note to play. She had tried with Milo but apparently the boafox was not musically inclined. When she had tried to cue him he merely jumped up on the keyboard and pranced across all the keys.

Giving the bird one more affectionate pat, Mitsu focused back on the keyboard trying to think of something to play. Finally it seemed to drawn on her and her fingers began to place themselves appropriately. She looked to Shun shortly to let him know she was ready to begin but gave no verbal cue as she started to play. Despite being tired, worn, even a little sore in places Mitsu spared nothing when it came to making music. Her fingers glided across the clavier hitting perfectly timed notes as the song she had in mind started to unfold. Music was her obviously her passion.

Mitsu smiled warmly at the bird as he remained perched on her keyboard, her fingers continuing to play even though she wasn't looking at her instrument. It was almost like a muscle memory, despite the different size and how strange the keys felt Mitsu had adjusted to the keyboard without a problem and continued to play the song at a steady pace.

When Shun finally joined her in playing her smile grew warmer, her eyes closing as her fingers sought out the keys without the aid of her sight. She listened intently to the tune he played along side her as he slowly brought himself up to speedy. He had been a little awkward at first but had quickly settled into playing with her. As their music combined into one melody Mitsu felt warm all over knowing that they were now making music together. It was bonding in a way and she couldn't remember a time she had enjoyed playing more than she did at this moment.

As the song finally came to a close she let the keys fade out softly before finally opening her eyes to look at the reaper. She smiled brightly at him feeling that this had gone really well. "That was great!"
