Most certainly this was not the way she wanted to spend the day. It was one thing to be searching the city for her last remaining girl. It was another be scouring the city now for the strange surge of star-marked cats. She had checked several of the basic places for any signs of cats. The park was the most obvious place to check, and she had easily located Celsus as a result. Alleyways were another area she checked. Those hadn't yielded as much in the results department.
For a moment, she stopped in step and glanced to the familiar sign of Hank's Auto Repair. This was where Ellie usually worked when she wasn't injured. From what she recalled, the girl was not permitted to work, but she'd occasionally check in for the hell of it.
Perhaps she was around right now? With a feline shrug, she then began to trot towards the back of the building.

As to how Egeria ended up as a cat she had no idea what so ever and so ran straight to the garage where Ellie worked. It was pretty much due to the fact that it was a habit, if one needed Ellie that's where they would go. She had headed there and it was only once she was there she remembered Ellie wasn't going to be there. It was a sudden movement inside the garage that made her rush to hide behind a bin.
How long she had stayed there she wasn't sure, she found she could smell more and hear more and... what was that? Her ears flicked slightly at the sound of another cat heading towards her, the smell as well indicated a cat was coming towards her and so she crouched down before jumping up on top of one of the bins, amazed slightly at her new abilities. Her eye sight as well was just perfect!
********* spotted the manx cat quick enough and just smiled before flattening herself down against the top of the bin and waited.... waited.....
POUNCE!
Right on to the manx's back, followed by a lot of laughter! Laughter that would easily be recognised by the cat who had a kitten land on her!

One moment ********* was an innocent cat, just wandering about the facility. The next, she felt something jump on top of her. Instantly the manx's fur poofed up from the sheer shock of the whole situation. Flattening against the ground like a kitty-pancake, the manx found herself unable to get up right away.
However, the laughter that followed was very, very familiar.
In a playful tone, the guardian mentioned "If I had to guess who this was... I'd say it was Egeria..." The weight on her back was not that of a human child, but the laughter definitely was more child than cat. With a slight grunt, the manx attempted to turn over to face the other small animal on her back.
"...tell me... how did this happen to you? Tell me what you remember happening, if you could humor me?"

Egeria just grinned as much as a cat could do when she got off ********* and sat down though she did listen. Whether Egeria was cat or human she still listened to *********, always listened to ********* I was out patrolling, or I was going to. I was going to call someone of course but then as I got my phone out poof I was a cat! Was very weird but hey I am like you now!" She smiled and did a little leap.
"Being a cat is more awesome then a senshi! Can I always be a cat *********? Please?" She flicked her tail a little and then heard something behind her and she couldnt help but stalk over and pounce a mouse that moved along by a fence. She missed it though and then realised what she did.
"Oops..." She smiled as she turned and looked at ********* again. "How do you not want to pounce on everything that moves?"

For a moment, it almost seemed as if the teal kitten was giving her kitten-eyes. Yet as the gray cat straightened herself up off the ground, she soon enough saw the kitten pouncing at something else. It was almost as bad as Hygiea's attention span normally. The thought of the orange haired child turning into a cat made her jaw drop.
She'd be completely helpless given how bad her attention span already was.
********* did manage to gather her wits about her and lift her jaw before her current companion in the feline world noticed. "I suspect that is not meant for you, Egeria! I do believe your family would not be happy with having a daughter that turned into a cat. Oh goodness... how long has it been since they've seen you? They are probably worried!" Quite quickly, the manx's mind began to try to think of a way to remedy this sort of situation. However, Egeria's comment managed to catch her attention and needed some sort of answer.
"...I am pretty certain it has to do with the fact you are a kitten... It's kinda what kittens are supposed to do... I might not look it... but I'm as fully grown as I am supposed to be." She nodded her head, jingling slightly as she looked down to her own short stature.

"My parents? I dunno but mums use to be vanishing!" After all could anyone keep Lissy where she was suppose to be? After all she wasn't exactly the best child and it wouldn't be till it got dark that her mother would really look for her.
"Haha your old! ********* is an old kitty... do you cats live as long as normal cats or as long as people? Also I think I am an awesome kitty!" She smiled and then pounced at ********* again.
"Weeeeeeeeeee!"

"Stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill... we should probably do something to make it less worrisome..." The manx resumed her wondering as the kitten went onto teasing ********* about her age. It wasn't something that bothered her much in all honesty. Most times it was when the others seemed to assume she was a kitten that she minded. Though even then, she wasn't the sort to give anybody a hard time about it.
Once again, the kitten surprised her with another sudden pounce. Squeaking out something that sounded like a yelp and a mew combined, the manx rolled slightly and attempted to grab onto the other feline with her paws. With a giggle, the manx aimed to chew on the other cat's ear slightly. "You make it tricky to think you know! Just saying!"

"Maybe you can think of something..." She thought she might just answer *********, to you know be nice! Though the joy of playing kitten stylie was just way too much fun! As her small ears started to be chewed she tried to squirm away so she could get ********* back.
"Can I stay a cat? Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase!" Yep she would beg to stay a cat, it was just too much fun. As she finally squeezed out and away from ********* she turned and faced her with a large grin on her face. Mischief seemed to be in her element as a kitten!

The manx let go of the kitten, but it wasn't for the obvious reason. Quite suddenly, ********* backed up slightly before doing a quick back flip. Under the space she had jumped a relatively nondescript cell phone appeared, making a sort of odd mewing noise.
"Goodness... who would be contacting me at this time?" the gray animal seemed to tsk at the phone as she easily padded up to the object and hit a button with an extended claw to get it to cease with the mewing sound. Glancing over the message briefly, she got her answer.
"Oh... Hygiea... good... we need to meet up with her..." There was a pause as her green eyes drifted back towards the excitable kitten. "Aaaaaaaaaand... again... I don't think it would be a good idea for you to stay a cat on purpose. You can stay as long as everyone else does... but otherwise, no longer than that."
With that, the cat sat herself down in front of the phone, and in a manner which almost seemed ridiculous, she began to text the orange haired child back.
Need to meet up with you, I'll see you at your place!
Yes, ********* was able to text with the best of them.

Egeria wasn't so sure she agreed with ********* think it would be a good idea and oh is Hygiea a cat as well? That would be awesome!" Egeria could see possibilities! The two kittens would be able to get into all sorts of mischief and that sounded like a lot of fun!
However she tilted her head slightly as she watched ********* text. How strange but then again ********* was a strange cat. Egeria was easily bored though and so started to pounce a fly that buzzed over her head.

Once the message had been sent, ********* nudged at the phone with her nose. "Let's see here... looks like the coast is clear..." The phone wasn't going to put itself away, and since nobody was hanging out in the back of this place of business (since it was cluttered with junk), the manx all of a sudden shot up in height.
"There we go!" With a giggle, she picked up the phone from the ground, lifted up her hat and placed the phone on her head. The hat was soon enough set back in its proper place, and the phone was "put away" for now. It would be a bit more noticeable when she changed back to a cat again.
However, now that she was in this form, she planned to take advantage of it, despite how quick the moment was going to be. Quite quickly, the silvery haired girl was able to snatch up the with much care and skill in her hands. With the kitten pretty much in her flat palms, she brought Egeria up to eye level and looked at her with a smile. She smiled in a kind manner before jokingly mentioning "This is what we call a role reversal, Egeria!"
She would have leaned in and given the feline in her hands an Eskimo kiss, but kitten might have pounced her nose instead. In a slightly more serious tone, she attempted to make her point again. "You know as well as I do that this is not the way things are supposed to be." There was a wink of her green eye before she knelt down and set the kitten on the ground again.
With the kitten back in place, the guardian shrunk back to her usual form, tucking her phone away out of view again. "Okay... let's get going... we have a ways to go to get to Ridley's place."

Egeria had seen ********* in her not so cat form before, it had freaked her out somewhat the first time as she had been jumped on and well it wasn't what one had expected. Anyway now though she found the ground wasn't beneath her paws and she screwed her kitten face up.
"Hey!" When she was back on the ground though she found herself much happier and let out a little purr to show she liked the ground beneath her paws.
"I still think I should stay a cat!" She then watched ********* turn back into a cat and let out a soft sigh. "Do we have to? I want to go play some more!"

The manx laughed at the kitten a bit. "You make it sound like Ridley won't want to play with you. Last I checked, she loves cats. I would almost imagine it would be more fun to actually go over to her home and have someone else to play with for a while."
As if there was no option, the manx toddled over behind the kitten. She honestly wasn't much bigger than Egeria, but that didn't mean she couldn't try doing what was pretty much an instinct for her. She leaned in and nabbed the kitten by the scruff of the neck. She then began to try and walk forward to take the kitten along with her for the ride to the other child's home.
It looked quite awkward to say the least. The kitten definitely seemed too big for the little manx to cart about, and the poor teal feline was more likely to get scraped up quite a bit with how she was dragging along a bit against the ground. Despite how awkward it was, the paler feline still seemed to try and push forward as if nothing was wrong with this whole arrangement at all.

Egeria was rather enjoying the whole being a kitten thing until ********* decided to mother her and then she found herself being carried and it wasn't like she was being carried rather then dragged along. She wrapped her tail up by her stomach and tried to raise her back end up as much as she could but it wasn't really enough. She let out a sigh and got ready for a very bumpy ride to Ridley's house.
