Les Miserables, celebrating its being the longest running musical in London, will return to Broadway in October for a November opening at the Broadhurst Theatre. I can't tell you happy that makes me, though I don't understand why it closed in the first place.
It played 6,680 performances on Broadway. Now on Oct. 9, it will have played 8,372 performances in London.

I saw this yesterday.
I'm glad to see it coming back... but I HATE the theatre it's gonna be in. The seats are SO cramped and uncomfortable.
Unless Terrence Mann comes back with it, nothing will top the last time I saw it, so I'm content.

Yet another reason to go to New York! rolleyes I think this is probably the only show that I would sacrifice tickets for something new to see again...

I would LOVE to go to New York, but unfortunately I can't 'cause of the small amount of money I've got -_- .....
I wonder who will play Valjean and Javert...
Better be somebody good, 'cause I won't stand if my two fav characters will get BAD...

I saw a horribly confusing cut version of it at one-act competition this year. So that kind of ruined Les Mis. for me.

Hahaha, I'm way too poor for New York (I was in NYC last December and didn't get to see a show... I felt like such a bad thespian) but I'm seeing Les Mis at the Dallas Summer Musicals- super w00t.

Wow...I must be a terrible person..I really don't get into Les Mes. It just doesn't touch me, but it's great to see such an acclaimed show come back home! I'll be up there next week during my spring break (Mum and I have tickets for Wicked and Spamalot-my wet dream) so I'll try and run by the theatre and take pictures or whatnot.

I really like Les Miserables, as well as other musical which Boublil & Schonber wrote, Miss Saigon.
I really like that dramatic tone which both of them have, which is not common in musicals...
