Of course, Sheldon Hobbes never really expected much of the whole senshi negaverse deal to effect his life; true there were the few random encounters when he for some reason ventured at night ... and there was that whole thing about a lava land and rainbow road. But those were just a few things to take in stride, letting the weirdness just go after they had transpired. He wasn't waiting for things to happen, that would be silly, and he was never really worried that something would creep up on him even though it kept the rest of the city occupied.

So he went on with his life, school and work and avoiding school and work and most of all video games. Aside from his random encounter with Ellie a few days back, he was still busy playing Skyrim and leveling up his Dragonborn Bosmer thief named Pa'c - even at the wee hours of the morning. There were empty cans and crumbled up bags of chips that lay scattered on the coffee table that separated him from the television, some even haven fallen on the floor from lack of attention as he continued a few of the quests for the Thieve's Guild. Or well, he would have been on those quests if he hadn't encountered another dragon.

If it weren't for how sudden the change had occurred, he probably wouldn't have noticed given how concentrated he was on frenzy-ing a few of the local creatures in the area to aid him in the red dragon's defeat, mashing a few of the buttons to cast a few more of his illusion spells, ready to pull out his bow while his amazing horse kicked and beat at the dragon. He never managed that combo when suddenly he felt all tingly and honestly a little disoriented, it wasn't like the feeling of waking up from a black out or getting knocked in the head. It was just.. peculiar.

And strange. And weird. And sharper? Of course Sheldon could always attribute for some dulled senses due to his chosen lifestyle but he never expected them to get so much better. Sounds were so much better and the squeal of his horse broke him out of his momentary lapse of disorientation and back to the game. His animal companions had all been defeated save for the horse who was trying its best against the red fury of the dragon. The boy tried to get back on track but suddenly found it difficult to get the controls to work. Like... his fingers....

Sheldon stared owlishly at what he found when he looked down. Paws. Green paws and the controller so much larger than it had been moments before.

The shock hit him in an instant, the controller knocked the floor sending the screen into a disarray as buttons impacted with the floor. His whole, smaller, body rocketed backwards to the back rest of the couch. "********," he hissed out, panic creeping in his tone as he stared at the paws that were once hands.

Yup. He was a cat. A very green cat, he gathered from a frantic look at himself - he had a tail to boot.

He ... was a cat.

"What the ******** was the off chance that this could be a dream, he thought as he let his arm fall back to the comforts of the couch. Really. It could. Maybe.

Sheldon wasn't sure how much he could rely on that hypothesis. Weird things liked to happen in this city even though he tried to stay away from it all, trying not to get involved with whatever weird things liked to happen to other people.

The now cat stared at the ceiling as if it could grant answers, trying to calm his racing mind and heart. Trying to steady himself, wondering where to go from here.
