 Once upon a time, there lived a peaceful kingdom. A happily married King and Queen that led a strong and peaceful land. Now, in the kingdom, lived uni-people. Surely a rare and scarce race and is only ran in the royal family in the womens side. But, within the few hundred years, the race started dying down; the race of the uni-people were very close to extinction from game and hunt. Used for service from the abusers. The race died in the moon kingdom, so for generations, there lived no baby uni-person girl. Until, a few years later, King Druid and Queen Lunimus had a uni-person baby girl. She had hair white as the full moon, golden eyes like the purest gold coin. Her skin was as pale as milk and as soft as lotion skin. Her horn was gold like her eyes with a blended red tip as her tail was long and elegant. So they named her, Kumiko means "Child of Lasting Beauty". After the news was out, there had been thieves and child nappers, attempting to get to Kumiko and sell her on the slave market. Horrified, her parents are currently hiring a body guard that can protect Kumiko from the thieves. But, what happens when a Thief takes an identity of a body guard and gets the job?

Skelly~~~  My name is Princess Kumiko Tsuki, but some people call me Kumiko.

I enjoy singing, collecting flowers, breaking up fights, butterflies, getting out of the castle.
but I hate Thieves, being different, the cold, sharp weapons, fighting

Everyone has a past so here's mine...When I was very little, I didn't like being the only uni-person. It was lonely and I was made fun of by the other kids for having a horn and a tail. I lived in the castle, sealed away from the world because of the dangers. The only outside experience I've had was an indoor garden that was taken care of from generation to generation. When I was older, people started trying to find ways in the castle to take me away; and not in the romantic way either. To be sold in the slave market. My parents told me of a great time where there were more uni-people and everyone loved them. The only uni-person I see is me, in the mirror. So in other words, my birth was a curse; oh I hate the worst. But now I should feel more comfortable with a new body guard my parents have arranged me with. I hope...

 My name is Zeke Redgrave, but some people call me Zeke I'm 20, if you don't like it, get outta here!
I enjoy swordfighting, free running, watching the clouds, swimming, making money, and pulling pranks.
but I hate Idiots, squirrels, people who insult others for being different, losing money, garlic, and scorpions
My abilities are swordfighting, free running, some low level fire magic, and I'm incredibly resourceful and clever.
Everyone has a past so here's mine...My parents died when I was five, so I was left alone to fend for myself. I missed them, of course, but for a while, I had fun living on my own. I had no rules, I ran across the rooftops all I wanted, and I could explore the entire kingdom without being caught. However, I always got dirty looks from everyone, and I still do. I steal because I have no other way to provide for myself, but no one else really cares, so I make a game out of it by fighting back whenever the guards come and make them look like idiots. I heard that the royal family is hiring a bodyguard. Maybe I can use this to swipe some money, maybe even get rich off this princess I've heard about.

Seeing the sunlight from her window, she just laid there, staring at it. The warmth of the sun, only to be truly felt when outside. Feeling the grass below her feet, the fresh air, the true beauty of birds singing and watching the clouds. Listening to babbling streams, speaking their free crystal clear minds; All of which, would never be hers to experience. She envied the people outside, enjoying the things she could never love or experience. Every now and then, Kumiko would hope to be kidnapped just be be outside, just the bad side was being sold as a slave. She rose from her bed and stepped down. The Princess walked over to the mirror, seeing the reflection that she always saw day after day, night after night. The difference. The horn, the tail. Either people wanted her or was teased because she was different. She got dressed in her olive drab colored dress. The skirt was long in the back and came up a little above her knees in the front. She brushed her hair, and tied the rosy brown ribbons on her corset and neck part of the dress. She tied a ribbon on her tail and wore one rose in her hair, behind her right ear. Kumiko looked back in the mirror and sighed again. Walking out of the room, she grabbed an apple for breakfast and met with her parents in the room, as they interviewed different people, one at a time. As she came in the room, her father looked annoyed as her mother was the same. "Good morning mother, father." She sat down next to them, watching the bodyguard walk away in tears. Her ears lowered as she watch the man leave, 'That's a bodyguard?' "Good morning, my dear. Sorry for our annoyance. Just these so called body guards are so damn pansy men," her father roared annoyed. "Sorry, honey. Your father is very upset that no one in the kingdom can protect our little girl. So far, we have gone through more than half the body guards in the kingdom," The Queen said sounding worried. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave Zeke spent his morning as he did any other, showing off his freerunning skills and jumping from roof to roof, the wind at the back of the thief. The young man had done this all his life, ever since he was orphaned. He was clad in some simple clothing; a brown cloth cape, a pair of slacks, and a brown shirt with the sleeves slashed off. The townspeople below stared at his actions as he headed closer and closer to the castle. He had heard about the royal family searching for a bodyguard for the princess, and this could be his ticket to finally living the good life. He leaped off the last rooftop, landing in front of the castle gates, telling the gate guards that he was here about the bodyguard job. They nodded and let Zeke through. One of the gate guards walked up to the king and queen. "Your highness. Another one has come for the bodyguard position. He seems...different. I saw him soaring across the rooftops to get here, so he must have some skill. Should I let him meet with you to discuss this further?" The guard asked.

This will be the last one for the day. I have too much planned with the other nations," said the king waving his hand. Kumiko looked away, in a daze at the curtains, wanting to go outside. The usual urge. "Mother, Father. I'm going to the indoor gardens. I'd like to get some sort of wildlife scenery to ease my demons to go outside of the castle." "Please do, Kumiko. I don't want you to be kidnapped before you have a body guard," Said the Queen. Without any further words, the princess walked off before the last person came in for the position. She opened the door and walked inside, closing it behind her. No birds singing, no water babbling. No wind to dance around her and no grass under her feet. Kumiko walked across the room full of potted plants and smelled the flowers. She sat in the chair and looked up at the glass that let the sun in. When the body guard walked in, The king and queen sat up in their chairs and went on with the interview. "Why do you want to protect our daughter? What makes you so different from the rest of the body guards that wish to protect her," The king asked. ☀`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´♕`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´☀

Zeke Redgrave Zeke managed to keep an honest air around him, despite the initial motives for wanting the job. "You see, your majesty, I don't exactly come from such a...noble background as you and your family, who've done so much for this kingdom, and since I've lived alone for most of my life, I don't really have anything my name, other than my life and sword. To make my life worth something, I wish to protect your daughter as if she were family of my own. If I can at least do that right, if I can at least give back to the kingdom I call home I may be comfortable with my life. Most of the bodyguards you've hired lack true conviction. Instead of going on about how I have more skills than them, I propose a test. A little practice swordfight with five of your best men. If I lose, you may throw me out, but if I win, you must consider me for the position." He said, eagerly hoping the fight would take place.

Normally, the king would say that the body guards had to fight right on the spot, but this kid pretty much threw himself into a challenge and a deal. The king grinned and said, "Very well, we will see who wins this bet. Although, I must say you are the most confident yet. Send in Luke, Ikerus, Gin, Fae and John." Soon the four men and women came out. "I sent in one of the kingdoms most skilled women. She has her victorious moments between the four men. I look forward on this battle. Zeke Redgrave Zeke nodded at the five warriors in front of him, drawing a short, straight blade and getting ready to fight. The theif was eager to duel these five, since they were supposed to the the best the kingdom had to offer. He started with the one named John, the two clashing swords, sparks flying with each slash. Zeke managed to duck under the blade, then catch John by smashing the hilt of his sword into the man's stomach. John continued to fight back, until Zeke tripped him and had the tip of his sword in the man's face. John gave up, making Zeke the winner of the first fight.

They looked at each other impressed and nodded. The king and Queen stood up and he raised his hand to stop the fight, "Enough. I am very impressed. I am pleased with your skill young man. You have received the position. Please come. We will lead you to our daughter." They led the way to the indoor garden and the Queen said, "What is your name, young man?" The king receives a message from a servant and said, "Please excuse me. I have matters to attend to. I will see you at dinner, sir." He bowed politely and kissed his wife's hand. The queen led the rest of the way to the garden room. She opened the door and said, "This way. She's in there. My daughter can be hard to get to know first. She wasn't thrilled about having a bodyguard but knows it's for the best. I also have matters to attend to. I will also see you and my daughter at dinner." She left, closing the door behind Zeke. Kumiko was in the center of the indoor garden, sitting on the fountain. She dips her hand in the water, as the large koi fish brushed up against her hand fingers. Her tail sways a bit and as she heard walking towards her and her ears turned at the sound. Zeke Redgrave Zeke was impressed by the beauty of the garden room. The young theif could feel the presence of someone else, then looked to spot a girl in the center if this indoor garden. He guessed it was the princess. She had to be, given how beautiful the girl was. There was something odd about the princess, though. She had a tail, ears sticking up from her head, and a horn, of all things. He knew she was a uni-person, but he had never seen one before. Seeing this unusual girl in this garden made her seem very exotic to Zeke. Normally, a person would be freaked out by the whole horn thing, but Zeke welcomed the idea of seeing unique things and people in his life. Besides, a uni-person could fetch a way better price than just a regular princess. He wanted to say something, but he figured letting her speak first would be the better option, since the guy was trying to keep his cover.

She saw him stare at her and she felt uncomfortable, getting the same feeling as she did with the other children when she was younger. Her ears lowered in an offended way, blushing in embarrassment, and looked away back at the fish again,"It's rude to stare, sir... but hello. I am assuming you will be taking your leave... since I am different?" Her tail swayed again as she crossed her legs, leaning over the water again, playing with the fish. Thinking for a moment, she didn't hear footsteps. "I'm sorry, if I have offended you. You are not leaving?"It was unusual for her to have someone not leave after seeing her. Zeke Redgrave Zeke broke out of his little trance, trying not to stare at the princess again. He wasn't disturbed by her appearance, but it was something else. "I apo;ogize for staring, your highness. It's just that i'd never seen a uni-person before. I've heard about them a lot, so seeing you in person makes me curious. I have to say, I enjoy seeing things and people that are different. New experiences help life move forward, after all." He told her. "I won't be leaving. I just got the job, and I plan on keeping it for a long time." He added. Seeing her blush almost brought a smile to the young man's face.

She smiled slightly and said, "I've never met someone who is interested in seeing exotic things, such as a uni-person. You must see a lot if your curiosity is so high, sir."She turned to Zeke and crossed her ankles, and rested her hands on her lap. Her ears were relaxed like her golden eyes. She tilted her head slightly and said,"It's alright. I do appologize for assuming something different than your thoughts of staying, sir. I'm Kumiko, please don't worry about calling me, 'highness' 'princess' or anything. I see people equal despite my rank in the kingdom..."She paused and her tail swayed again, next to her, "I see, well, I'm glad that you plan on keeping your position. My Mother and Father must like you. They are rather most picky. Zeke Redgrave Zeke smiled back at the girl. He expected a princess to be all judgemental and all that jazz, but this Kumiko came off as very nice and kind. "My name's Zeke. Zeke Redgrave." He told her. He could feel the relaxed aura that came from her golden eyes, and it made him feel calm, just like the beautiful garden around the two of them made him feel when he walked in. He had no idea what her parents saw in him, other than his skill with the sword, but he was going to stick around until he had a chance to get rich, so he wasn't complaining. However, something about Kumiko was interesting to him. It might be his facination with the fact that she was a uni-person, but it might be something else.
