"Rememba me? YEA YA DO."

After a bit of inspiration and lots of boredom, along with some demoknighting, I decided something: what would happen if other classes got "knighted"?

Being a bit of a scout main, I whipped up a little set, but Soldier would be a better canidate for a melee set, due to his relationship with the Demoman. (WAR! upate n'all that jazz.)

Scout set statistics and such-
Primary slot, shield and guantlets
+25 Health
+25% resistence to explosives and fire
+100% reserve secondary ammo
Alt-fire: preform a shield "slap" to knock foes back. Meleeing a foe while they're being launched causes mini-crits. (Shield damage equals a bat swing. knockback is similar to an airblast. You can literally, with proper timing, time your hits to where you shield-slap and melee at the same time.)
Replaces Scattergun

Melee Slot, generic shortsword name here or something
+20% Damage
-30% swing speed
*Each melee kill adds 10 hp, and 5% more damage resistence to explosives and fire, for up to five kills. (+50 hp, +25% resistence gained)
*Scout holds it lower, more to his side then above him, which means new animations! Yay!

Mostly for shits'n'giggles, but, I'd use it. Pistol is underrated anyway, this would just mean you'd have irritating pea-shooter scouts that take more then a minicrit rocket to kill.

Anyway, melee-oriented subclasses other then demoknight, discuss the rediculous concept of that.

Do Not Want.
Valve throws out way too many melee weapons. Demoknight is a fun alternative and all, but one melee sub-class is enough. Only modders should try to make such items, but Valve? No. Unless they made them for melee modes only or something. But Degroot Keep isn't as popular as they thought it would be.

Although, I do love a good melee Heavy.

I agree on actual, useful weapons. A decent sidegrade to scattergun or rocket launcher is always good. I just thought of this concept and said "wow, that could be fun."

Although really it only makes sense for soldier. (Soldier vs Demo, hurp derp)
