This whole cat thing was getting old, very, very quickly, and he seemed nowhere closer to having an idea of what happened and how to fix it.
And, it turned out, a tiny cat body tired quicker than a 20 years old human body that was more or less used to jumping rooftops for hours night after night.
So he stopped on one, laying down. "This sucks." He grumped to no one, staring at the street and the city lights. Really, everything was so... big.
Ugh.
Tail curled around his tiny body, and it wasn't long before he'd started grooming himself without a second thought.

Ears pricked, eyes narrowed, he’d climbed the fire escape for solitude for just a few moments, brooding about four feet and a tail, and now there was an intruder.
Except the patterns looked familiar the way that his own looked at least a little like his Coat when he was powered up, his general king coat turned into Smokey curls.
He felt right at least so that was a good start for confirming his suspicions. He curled his tail around his toes and tried to look as dignified as he could as a cat.
“Alunite?” He called carefully.

The sound of a voice made the cat freeze, fur puffing up in surprise - and it was only then that he seemed to notice what he'd just been doing, spitting out some of the gathered fur.
AUUUUGH.
It did finally strike him that, well, the voice was familiar. Very familiar indeed. So was the other feline's colors and patterns, when he finally did turn, looking about as dignified as a deer staring at some headlights. "General King ?"
Superb. Through, being in a similar predicament, maybe Zinkenite wouldn't find it as a amusing as a certain mauvian had.
Damnit, Hiro.

His ears folded back against his skull and the tip of his tail flicked in a quick rhythm of irritation. So he wasn’t the only one so transformed, but why, and for that matter HOW?
He had no answers other than that feeling that had washed over him in the apartment below, which he was currently going to pretend he had nothing to do with. If the Dark Kingdom wanted a sanctuary it wasn’t going to be HIS place, he just wasn’t that generous yet.
“Well, that’s rather frustrating isn’t it, do you have any ideas how many if us are having said issue?” He asked and licked at his front paw, all of two licks before he put it down quite firmly and wrapped his tail tight around it again.

Alunite thankfully seemed none the wiser about the fact that they were standing right above Zac's apartment - and even if it had dawned on him, well, this was the least of his worries.
"I have no idea." Alunite had to admit, his own ears flattening along with an all-too-human frown. "I havn't seen anyone else yet. I thought it was just me... Something the senshi I was fighting at the time pulled on me perhaps, but... It's not wearing off."
Which was bothersome. It wasn't like he could go back to his apartment, what if Sebastian saw him ? And even then, the window leading to his bedroom was closed, thanks to the nights growing chilly. It was starting to look likely that he was going to need to go to his sister's for shelter.
Awkward.

“You should try and find someone to stay with, it’s fortunate that we can talk at least, we can make up some reason for our absence in the hopes that it won’t last too long, at the least till we get to the bottom of this.” He stood and moved closer, his tail a fluffy little exclamation point, the very tip of it twitching back and forth.
“Can you tell me what Senshi you were fighting? If I fought them too within a reasonable amount of time you may be right about that, but I haven’t –fought- anyone too recently.” He mused and trailed off, eyes narrowing and his tail lashing more distinctly. Damn it was going to be a lot harder to have a ‘poker face’ like this, he’d need to sit on his tail, and even that wouldn’t keep it from becoming a poufy-wreck.

"I should be fine." His long, fluffy tail uncurled and started waving back and forth, idly and apparently by his own accord.
"Didn't get her name. Probably a super. Shot energy blasts. Badly." Standard white moon, pretty much. From the tone, Alunite hadn't been particularly impressed. "It kind of looked like she felt something when... it hit me, but it didn't seem to affect her."
Really... He hoped Zinkenite had an idea what he was talking about, because he had no idea how to even start explaining. He'd had to have felt it too, right ?

Zink shook his head with irritation. “Can you describe her fuku? I could perhaps name her then, but… a wave of energy would you say? Like a great sweeping tide of it?” He flicked his ears hoping for confirmation.
“Whatever it was, if it’s what I felt then it didn’t effect Ilmenite either, that’s a hopeful sign that this might in fact be random and not targeting a given power level.” He flicked the tip of his tail thinking aloud.

Fuku, fuku... Alunite's ears did tilt backward a little, the cat clearly in thought. "White and... light blue, I think ?" Really, it was a little hard to accurately pinpoint colors at lighttime. "Some sort of blue really... Stupid ******** ribbons. Pretty much standard white moon bullshit."
Yeah, there was little love for the other side here.
Targetting a certain power level.... Okay, now that thought was a scary one. If this had gotten both Zinkenite AND Tanzanite... But the General King hadn't mentioned any of that, so he could still allow himself so doubt. "Have you heard of anyone else ? I thought I was the only one..."

“Wolframite.” He said and gave his shoulders a small roll that passed as a shrug. I think he was less than pleased to find we were both cats but there isn’t much I can do beyond that. “I can’t teleport like this though and I haven’t yet made Ilmenite take me to the rift. It’s so…LIMITING to be like this.” His ears folded back in irritation and his back fur rose in a small ridge thinking of how frustrating it was to be cut off from so much.

"I can't teleport either." Alunite said with an annoyed shake of the tail - the large, fluffy appendage slicing back and forth through the air like if it might have been a blade. Perhaps in this case, it might be true that the tail might have a mind of it's own, as he didn't seem to be noticing what he was doing.
"And Hiro found me in a dumpster." Really. Definitively not of his most shining moments, right there. He definitively understood and felt the frustration of his superior, through probably not to the same extreme. He didn't look like he was going to elaborate on how he ended up in said dumpster to begin with.
"I wish I had more to report but... No one seems to know what happened."

“Thank you for this at least.” He said with a small sigh. “It’s something, Did Hiro say anything? Seeing what we’ve become perhaps he’d be our best resource towards undoing this. Please if you see him again see if he has any ideas or answers.” He nodded and stood.
“Let’s find out what we can.” A polite dismissal but never the less, they couldn’t sit and speculate with the risk that this put them at.

"He doesn't know what happened either." Alunite admitted with another nod. "I was the first he'd seen like this." And trained... much to his chagin.
But at the same time, he was used to it.
"I'll go see if I can find anything more." He knew how to recognize a dismissal when he saw one, and was back on all four paws. "I'll keep you updated."
And then he jamp off, slowly jumping the obstacles that would lead him to ground level. Hopefully in one piece.
