Navi was not amused, not in the least! She was small, she was furry, and she still had no ******** clue what was going on. Just like when they'd been trapped on that god forsaken rainbow road she was convinced everything was just a terrible dream, but yet again she was sorely mistaken. She was.. a cat. An adorable cat, to be sure, but a cat all the same.
Worst then the confusion and frustration that came with suddenly finding one's self four-legged and dainty, was the inconvenience of being trapped damn near powerless. Sure, she had that laser thing, but what good was that really? She couldn't walk through mirrors, and she couldn't use her powered attack. She felt.. well, pretty helpless.
So why was she darting along from shadow to shadow on her way to a horribly run down part of town and placing herself in very really danger? Because Ironically she actually felt safe in the presence of someone that basically danger incarnate. Like most things about their relationship it didn't make a lot of sense, but she she had thus far followed her gut on the matter and so far so good.
She didn't even know if he was at the community center, but that was where she was headed, senses straining for any sign of the familiar aura as she sprinted down side streets. "Where are you?"
There was a moments panic as she wondered what she would do if he simply wasn't powered up and patrolling. She'd never find him if that was the case, and she'd have placed herself in a dangerous situation for nothing. The thought made her swallow, and she put on an extra burst of speed.

Chaonis was not a cat person. His treatment of Dogby, at least when someone was watching, proved that he was not much of an animal person at all. Sure, he fed her when she whined and Tony wasn't home, and he put her in the backyard when she scratched at the door, and sometimes he pet her when she looked really sad about it...
But he was still not much for animals.
Or so he told himself. Tough guys like him never could like animals. It was just a rule, unwritten but agreed upon by anyone who wanted even a modicum of respect from anyone they ran into. Tough guys did not have dogs, least of all corgi's, and they certainly did not have cats.
Maybe a Rottweiler would pass, but anything short of that was pushing it.
He was sitting atop the roof of the community center. The lock on the window had been replaced, and he would have to investigate it from the inside during daylight. For now, he just kept his senses open for a familiar aura to see if she would swing by that night. Why? Because he could.
Yeah, that was it.
He wasn't looking for the aura of a cat, though, and was blissfully unaware of the one looking around for him on the streets below. His aura was hard to miss, of course, and he liked it that way.

There! She felt him, and he was exactly where she'd hoped he'd be!
With a whine the poor girl darted down the alley beside the center and up onto a nearby dumpster before making a rather spectacular leap for the bottom level of the fire escape connected to the building behind it. It was rather impressive given her diminutive size, and she took a second to grin down at the concrete far below before making her way up the stair way swiftly.
He was sitting on the roof, she could see him from the rail of the fire escape when she'd gotten to the highest point. A single, loud yowl was sent his way, tone surprisingly demanding for a cat.
Balancing precariously on the rail, she crouched low, rump raising up in preparation, and jumped. The a horrifying second she thought she would miss, and bi-colored fur stood on end a back claws dug into the ledge, but she pulled herself up, stepped safely away from the edge, and promptly bent to lick a patch of orange fur smooth along her left leg.
Wait.. Why? UGH! Ceasing the motion, she scowled and shook her head before trotting up to the senshi of danger, immediately butting her head against his thigh as she rubbed the whole of her side against him in greeting. A rather human sounding whine of desperation following suit.
It occurred to her that perhaps he wouldn't immediately recognize her as she was, and really she couldn't say she blamed him, so she murmured something against his side as she turned to make another rubbed pass at his hip. "Fiyero."

Chaonis jumped a bit when he heard the cat meowing at him. He was surprised, as he hadn't been keeping a look out for them. He wasn't much for cats, really, of any kind. He didn't know many of the guardian kind, and as far as the ones that couldn't talk or shoot lasers... he had no interest in them.
He watched as the cat, seemingly battling itself over its need to be clean and not be disgusting at the same time, wandered toward him. It had orange fur, which wasn't too strange for cats, but the markings weren't like he had seen before. And the star on her head certainly gave her away.
Still, he didn't get the impression that this was a guardian cat.
When he heard that name, his brain clicked.
"No way!" He started laughing, grabbing her as she rubbed him and picking her up, his hands holding her under her arm pits. She was much smaller than he was, and he took full advantage of this almost immediately. He wasn't sure what had happened but he had no doubt that this cat was his DMC senshi.
"Can't say this look suits you, Elphie," he said, tilting his head at her, "if that is you."

Short fur stood on end at the sudden burst of laughter, and she'd have flinched away from him had she the time before he'd snatched her up to hold her before him under either small arm. She couldn't say she was amused by this turn of events, but at least it seemed he'd realized who she was.
She didn't much care for the dangling though, and her long tail flicked irritably as she stared back at him, feline features unamused. "It's not funny." Except apparently it was. God damnit.
Dark ears folded back, and she shifted in his grip, twitching and fidgeting until she could slip from his hands and jump onto his lap. Her long tail curling around her toes as she sat back. "It's me, and no, it certainly doesn't suit me." She sounded annoyed, but there was a touch of something more on the edge of her tone, quite possibly fear. They still hadn't figured how what was going on or if there was any way to reverse it, and that had the DMC feeling very uneasy.
She sighed, pawed at his legs, then moved to lay down. "I don't know what happened. I was in the kitchen and then suddenly this." A paw lifted, small toes spreading for emphasis. "I'm not the only one either, but I don't know how many people have been effected, or if it's restricted to those with power."

"It's hilarious," he countered, grinning at her like this was quite literally the best thing he had ever seen. And maybe it was. She was a cat, and he had no idea how that happened. But it was great. Just great. She would never hear the end of it, even after she turned back into a human.
Would she be turning back into a human?
Letting her wiggle, he watched her jump from his arms and into his lap. He was not much for animals, so he awkwardly let her settled, looking down at her with a frown. Dogby liked to sit in laps, too, and he only let her sometimes. When she managed to get onto the sofa by some miracle, which was rare considering her short little legs.
"That. Is. Amazing."
He started laughing, uproariously, dropping back and shaking with a fit of laughter. Somehow these people had gotten themselves turned into cats and now they had to deal with it. She had come to the wrong man, if she was looking for pity. Or kitty treats.
"So, what? Do you have to pee in litter boxes? Do you have a strong urge to eat mice? Will you throw up if you eat people food? Don't tell me, you love being pet now," he caught her in his arm, sitting up, scratching at her ears.

She wasn't sure she liked the look on his face as he grinned down at her. Usually that smile meant there were delightfully naughty things to come, but being as she was currently a feline, she doubted such equally fun thoughts were running through his head. No, that was most certainly a s**t-eater's grin, and had a feeling she'd be hearing about this for a long time to come.
Was it worth it though to have sought him out, knowing she'd be subjecting herself to his wicked sense of humor? The laughter as he fell back was enough to have her say no, as was the seemingly unending stream of thoughtless questioning, but as he scooper her back up in his arm to scratch beneath an ear she changed her mind. He might not have been the most understanding or sympathetic, but in his own way he offered a certain sort of comfort to her.
"None of the above," she snapped grouchily, despite raising her chin to allow him to scratching fingers better access. "Except for maybe the later." To be fair, that one wasn't so much to blame on being a cat, she'd always liked it when he touched her.
A steady little purr thrummed within her chest after a moment of affection, and she pushed her head against his hand, sighing once again. "I don't like this." Obviously she wasn't talking about the petting, that she liked just fine. "Not knowing what's going on, or if I'm going to be stuck like this." Her ears snapped back at the thought, and her chest tightened.

"You might not, but I'm a fan. You're much easier to deal with this way," he said, grinning at her. He had gotten a little caught up petting her, scratching her ears and chin. Maybe it was her purr, which meant she was actually enjoying something he was doing.
It wasn't very often that he made someone happy.
He got to his feet, holding her uncomfortably under his arm. He imagined she was a cat, but she was still a powered up cat, right? Able to take more than the average cat, maybe. He held her carefully, but not too much so. As carefully as someone with a brief case might hold it.
"Let's go for a ride. Gotta try out those cat reflexes, right?"
He took a running leap, holding on to her as they jumped down from the roof to the floor below. He wondered if it would feel like a greater fall to the much smaller cat.
This was probably why he never got purrs from any one or anything.

She huffed, but she was still purring, and her chin was still lifted to expose her neck to his scratching fingers. "So glad you're amused." The sarcasm was practically dripping off every word. She almost asked him if he'd still be amused if she never changed back, but she bit the question back. She wasn't sure what answer he would give. She'd like to think she meant something to him, but if the answer wasn't to her liking...
No, it was better not to ask. They were enjoying whatever it was they had, and she didn't want to poke at it.
Instead she all but melted into his touch. To his credit, Chaonis actually managed to make Navi very happy. Despite his all powerful need to be an insufferable pain in the a**. Every touch was still electrifying, though as a cat something was admittedly lacking. Cross species.. Whatever. Regardless, she seemed to crave his attention.
The happy little image didn't last all that long though, and she gave a startled little mew as he rose to his feet and tucked her under his arm. "Again with the dangling?!" She fought the natural instinct to flail, and very carefully kept her claws away from his skin, but there was a very real urge to dig those dark points into his body armor to drag herself up to his shoulders. "What are you doing?"
A ride? What did he mean.. Reflexes?! "Chaonis." Her ears snapped back as he took off running towards the ledge. "Fiyero!"
She screamed when he jumped, and that sleek tail of her's fluffed up to twice it's normal size, flailing madly behind them as they plummeted in a bid for balance that was not in her control.
And yes, it did seem like a far greater height to her in her current size. b*****d.

Chaonis landed lightly on the ground below, moving to lift Navi up under her kitty arms again. He looked at her, blinking at how all together fluffy she had become. Her tail was huge and her eyes were even wider.
She was scared, clearly.
"What's the matter? I thought cats were good with jumping?" He held on to her firmly, not tightly, but he wanted to keep her from leaping from his hands. He didn't want her to claw his face off if she was that scared. but he wasn't an expert on cats, and wasn't sure if her instincts were just like theirs.
And wouldn't know what to do in either case.
He laughed at her, though, and watched her tensely for a long moment, debating if it would be better to hold her against him in one arm so she couldn't move or keep her at a distance. She looked pissed.
"So I'm guessing that was basically like riding a roller coaster for you. Hey! If I got you catnip would you get high?" now he wanted to see what that would do to her, if anything. After all, most pet people seemed to think the stuff was harmless to cats. So it wasn't like he was being cruel.
Anyway, she was still a person, and a 'bad guy' to boot. So he was ten kinds of justified for messing with her.

The impact was surprisingly light considering the way he had her tucked beneath his arm, but that did nothing for the rapid hammering of her heart within her tiny chest or fact that every hair on her body seemed to be standing on end. When he moved to lift her again she grabbed at his hand, the tips of her claws brushing his skin, but not scratching, not yet. She just really wanted something to hold onto.
His questions were innocent enough, but the look on his face, the tone of his voice, all of it had her wanting to curl up on herself so she could kick him in the face. Unfortunately he wasn't close enough for that, so all she could do was dangle and glare. He was even holding her tighter this time so she couldn't wriggle free of his grasp. "You're an a**," she hissed at him flatly, back feet tucking up close to her body as bright fur finally began to settle again.
"Rollar coasters have seat belts, and lap bars, and harness!" What did she have? She had an arm curled around her, it was so not the same. She blinked up at him as the topic took a sudden change to cat n**. "What? How would I know?" As of yet she'd not encountered any, and she didn't really want to either, specifically not now. She could only imagine what that stuff might do to her, and in Chaonis' presence? No, just no. He already had enough ammunition on her, thank you very much.
"You're enjoying this way too much," she accused, hazel eyes narrowing. "Must there be torture involved? You couldn't simply feel for my plight and offer a little care and attention?" Of course not.. That wasn't how he operated. She was going to get him back for all of this, of yes she was.

Chaonis laughed up a storm at the cat's expense. He knew full well that he was an a**, and he certainly didn't need her telling him. But he seemed to like hearing it, and definitely thought the way her fur was sticking up out of fear was hilarious. Cats had a funny way of poofing out their tails, and he wondered if she noticed she was doing it. It looked like a very tall christmas tree to the Senshi of Danger.
He was walking down the street with her under his arm, a goal in his head. If he had the option he would have powered down so he could go into a store that was still open and see about some cat n**. Instead, he was going to have to go in while powered up, get someone else to get some for him, or just steal it.
He was weighing the options as he strolled.
"I think I'm enjoying this less than I could be," he pointed out, with a wicked grin as he looked down at her, holding her in the crook of one arm now like some sort of super villain. He had his fingers around her front paws, though, just in case she tried to wiggle away.
He wondered if Dogby would chase her, but seeing how the corgi had rolled over in submission when Tony brought home a tiny kitten that needed some fostering, or something, he doubted it.

He was laughing again, but it was expected this time, and she did little but glare up at him as he held her. Insults were not going to work on him, nor taunts, threats, bribes.. Nothing. She was just going to have grin and bear it. Or perhaps not grin. Scowl perhaps?
At least he had tucked her back under his arm, that was at least more comfortable then being dangled out in front of him by her armpits. She had no clue where he was taking her though, and that was rather troubling actually. "Where are we going?" She asked in a tone that said full well she didn't expect an actual answer.
The comment made her huff, but he did have a point. Had it been any other member of the DMC gone cat in his possession, they likely wouldn't be treated half so "kindly". "Fair enough.." The shift to the crook of his arm was welcome, and she curled her tail around to drape over his arm. It was comfortable, and she'd almost say it was nice of him to carry her this way, but the fingers wrapped around her paws rather dashed the notion that he was doing it to be nice.
"Funny as this is, and I'll give you that, it is funny, at least from an outside point of view." Her tail flicked in annoyance, ears laying back as she leaned her head back to rest against his chest. "What if it's not temporary?" The scorn had left her voice, leaving it small and scared. She wanted to know on a personal level, but at the same time.. "There's a bunch of cats now running around where soildiers on either side once stood." It had to be more then just the DMC, had to. She refused to believe otherwise.

"I guess you'll have to get used to dogs chasing you, then," he said, though he wondered about her being stuck as a cat forever. That would not be a very fun situation for her to be in, he imagined.
And yeah, he liked teasing her and making her miserable, but there would be a distinct drop in fun if she were forced to be a cat forever.
Getting the cat n** was not hard, in the end. There were stores open late enough for him to buy from, but he had to power down to do it. And to do that, he secured his kitty friend in a garbage can, putting the lid on it and something heavier on top before he powered down and went into the store. When he returned, items purchased instead of stolen for a change, he opened the garbage can and picked her up again.
Cats liked to be carried by their scruffs, right?
"Alright, I got you a present," he said, grinning at her. He carried her into the alley and put her down next to the catnip and a toy that was laced with it. he imagined she would either run off or try to attack him, but hopefully the allure of the n** was strong.

Of course he answered with a joke, but there didn't seem to be much bite behind it. Her ears drooped, and with a sigh she lowered her head to rest her chin on his arm.
This wasn't so bad, she thought, being carried around like this. A shame it didn't last though. Before long he had found what he was looking for and she was being lowered into an empty trash can. Wait, trash can. "Chaonis! Stop it, what are you doing? I don't want to go in there!" What the ******** was he doing to her?!
Struggling got her nowhere, but she thought she'd at least gotten a good scratch in there somewhere before he'd managed to put the lid on and secure it down. That was something at least. She was hissing when he came back to her after what felt like forever, and even made a swipe for his hand when he reached down to grab her by the scruff. Her claws hadn't been extended, but he didn't know that. "You're awful, why did you do that?"
A present? For an instant she perked, but her eyes narrowed up at him. Whatever it was she had a feeling she was not going to appreciate it.
He set her down and she jumped away from him before turning to sit on her haunches, growling at him, tail lashing behind her. "What is that?" A jerk of her chin indicated the toy. Why oh why did she think it was a good idea to go running to him of all people?
Curiosity was a strong drive though, and despite the death glare she had turned up to the senshi of danger she leaned down to give the toy a sniff. Then another. Blinking, she stared down at the thing as it were far more interesting then a shoddily stitched mouse toy. Her lip twitched, and she sank down to lay beside the thing, one paw snaking out to nudge at it in a lazy bid to drag it closer.
Oh yes, Chaonis was going to pay for this. Dearly so.
