He just wanted to watch the movie right now that was all. It wasn’t as though they didn’t have any other time in their lives to engage in ‘snuggling’ or the other things that Ever clearly had in mind, maybe a little less than before but really. “Chill.” He said as ‘someone’ entertained themselves with his neck and ear. “Ever, I’m just trying to watch the…” And he got kissed on the lips as he tried to form the words, couldn’t see the screen at all and he was damned sure he just missed an important clue about the mystery film. He placed a firm hand on Ever’s forehead and gave him a good –shove- backwards. Well that was the intent anyhow, Ever’s arms slid around his waist with an evil chuckle to ensure he couldn’t escape, and a strange feeling rushed over them, Zac however was the only one who experienced that odd…sinking feeling. He gripped unthinking at Ever; the sensation of shrinking made him think ‘falling’ in that first heart racing moment.
What he hadn’t planned on, what he couldn’t have expected was that he would go from possessing fingers with nice blunt fingernails, to tiny, pointy paws.

Ever went from stealing a kiss from Zac to a face full of startlingly sharp claws. Later, he'd probably just be glad that they missed his eye, instead catching him across the nose and cheek, leaving shallow scratches in their wake. They were going to hurt, to swell up, to weep faintly around the edges.
For the moment, however, he didn't even notice. His arm, previously looped in around Zac's waist, now swept the smaller form of cat sideways into his lap, with those same claws dangerously close to more sensitive areas.
"...what..." He didn't even know where to start, other than to stare down at the little blue cat and lick the corner of his mouth, the tail end of the scratch.

“Either you got a great deal bigger, or I just got a great deal smaller.” Zac blinked, wide eyed and his tail turned into something resembling a raccoon. He turned one paw and stared at it, flexing claws, he twitched the poufy tail, grabbed it and then made a small explosive ‘hiss’ because his claws hurt him as well.
“Did I…” he let out a small clattery nervous mew. “EVER!? I’m a CAT!!!WHY AM I A CAT?!” Small blessings at least that he went limp on Ever’s lap, whiskers drooping, and a look of horror in wide cat eyes. “WhyamIacat…whatthehellwasthat… What the Hell was that?”

Cat. Talking cat. Ever was just lucky that he'd met not one but two guardian cats previously, that this wasn't something terribly new; otherwise the idea of 'talking cat' added on top of 'Zac cat' might have made his head explode. He stared down at Zac with his mouth hanging open a touch, fingers lifting to the scratches on his face and coming away faintly bloody.
Baffling.
He didn't know what to say. He swallowed and shrugged at Zac, struggling, "...you're a cat."
It wasn't helpful.

Zac squirmed to right himself and then stood, placing his hind paws on Ever’s lap and one foot on Ever’s chest so that he could touch a soft paw to Ever’s cheek his ears flicking before he drew it back. He must have changed or started to change right as he tried to push Ever away, and now he felt bad for it. He sat back on his haunches like a small blue Meerkat looking nervous. His ears flattened and then lifted, wiggling almost comically as he tried to think it through.
He let out a miserable mew and butted his head against Ever’s chest. “I can’t power up, I can’t teleport.” He said his tail still bushy as he leaned into Ever. I don’t know what happened, I can’t think of anything that might have triggered this, did you feel that wave at all?”
He was worried, rightfully so perhaps, who wouldn’t love the chance to take a boot to him when he was small and fluffy and more ‘slightly pointy’ than ‘truly dangerous’. Hell who was going to take him seriously like this?

Ever sure as hell couldn't. Even the lingering frustration at failed conquest couldn't dim the kindling amusement in his expression as he watched Zac twist and turn and wiggle his ears and bat his tail back and forth. The smile came slowly, helplessly, as he reached out one hand to encircle the bushy tail and smooth it down some, blue fur sliding against his fingers.
"You're a cat." It was almost laughing this time. At least Ever hadn't changed with him, at least he could reach down to curl fingers under Zac's chin and get at that hard-to-reach spot, quite familiar with what cats liked. "I don't even know."

“It’s not funny!” Zac protested twisting to push at the hand that ran over his tail, he was still feeling strange about the extra and seemingly uncontrollable appendage. Every time he thought he had some kind of handle on it, it would become puffy or twitchy with irritation or some other nuance of cat-hood. “What are you…Ooo….mmm….” He trailed off jutting his chin and squinting his eyes at the delightful sensation of the ‘scritchings’ A low rumble started in his chest and his toes curled and uncurled against Ever’s lap.

It was much easier to calm down cat-Zac than human-Zac. It was kind of a relief. Ever kept his fingers there, amusement slowly giving way to concern. That was probably a good thing; if he was worried, Ever could work to get this solved, or at least to find out what the hell was going on.
"How'd this...uh. Do you have any idea..?" He paused to make sure Zac could gather his wits, pull himself together enough to answer.

Zac shook his head to clear it blinking and then scowling, either because the scratching had stopped or because he’d been side tracked by something so trivial. “I have no idea.” He said ears folding for a moment again as he considered before he suddenly ‘stood’ and put two paws on Ever’s chest to stare him in the face.
“You need to call Ladon, and Fluorite too.” He said with a small fuzzy nod, they should know what’s happening, We need to know if this happened to just me or if it’s happened to other people! We especially need to know if its only Nega’s effected so we should keep eyes out to see if any senshi are gone suddenly.”

The certainty behind Zac's fuzzy little order made Ever smile again -- crookedly, this time, with his eyes too bright and little paws settled against his chest. He couldn't help scooping Zac in his hand and propping him up against one shoulder, fingers scratching comfortably down his spine and then back up. With Zac's fur all rifled up, he finally straightened, dumping the cat down onto the couch in his place.
"I need to, huh. I don't imagine you have their numbers. Or, say, Tanzanite's?" He raised an eyebrow, but he was moving away toward the phone, despite his protests.

“Tanzanite doesn’t have a number, you’ll have to visit her, or take me with you!” He followed tail twitching only stopping for a moment to try and de-muss his fur before realizing he was licking himself and making a spitting sound. It did raise worries that he might loose his humanity and behave like a cat rather than a person too, so much for keeping calm and not ‘puffy’.
“I think I have the other two in the Rolodex, not the front one that’s public, look inside the recipe box, their under ‘torte’, don’t ask. He trotted forward again and wove between Ever’s feet and ankles.

"I know Ashley's number." And that, at least, he could take care of easily; snatching up the phone and dialing it from memory. He always dialed, still hadn't yet mastered the wonders of his cell phone's contact list. And that, amusingly, as a simple cell phone.
As it rang on the other end, he leaned down to grab Zac around the midsection and, careless of claws, hoist him up into the air to dump him unceremoniously on the counter. In his experience, cats liked to be more or less on eye level.
Zac would know when she picked up by the way Ever's back stiffened, going more serious. Formal.
"Ah. Ashley. Hi, it's Ever...yeah, no, not tonight." He smoothed at his hair, grinning to himself. This was too surreal not to.
"I was just wondering if, by any chance, you might be. Well. A cat?" Pause, a look flicked to the counter. "No, I'm serious. Because Zac is. No, not just...I mean he's really a cat. With the paws and..."
He couldn't help it. A snicker built up and escaped between his hands as he rubbed at his face. "Stop. Stop laughing, I can't...I'm hanging up on you. Call me if you find anything out."
The phone clicked decisively back into place.

“It’s not funny!! Why was she laughing it’s not funny!” He lashed his tail back and forth, oh just wait till he got his ha..er, paws on her. He waved a paw at the phone again, trying to resist cleaning himself again after the unceremonious grab that had swept him onto the counter. Actually he rather liked being ‘up’, it felt taller than it did as a human though that was probably logical.
His tail swished back and forth and slapped off the plastic wrap on the bread, he ignored it and huffed. “Well try Ladon.” He said and rambled off a number. Surely if someone were to take this seriously it would be Wolframite.

"Just...just give me a moment." Zac insisted it wan't funny, but -- well, his insisting only made it that much funnier. Ever's shoulders shook some as he struggled to control his fit of laughing, to smooth his expression down. Only once he had did he breathe out, reaching out to pick up the phone again and dial the second number.
His eyebrows furrowed as he flicked a look to Zac, listening to voice mail -- and hanging up before the message could catch him. "I don't even know who 'Ladon' is."

“Wolfram” He said –staring- at Ever like he could bore holes in his head. Fortunately the idea of scratching hadn’t really sunk in yet. “Nothing?” He asked watching Ever hang up the phone and looked distressed. “This better be temporary, I have the urge to run around the flat and I haven’t any idea why, and I have NO idea what the pet policy is, what are we going to DO?!”
He ran in a tight circle on the corner of the counter before turning back and demanding “Pick me up! I have to think.”
