AT YOUR OWN ******** HOUSE?!?! scream
It really hurts to get stood up on a date but you can usually go home and pretend the whole thing never happened but when the person you are dating doesn't text you at all through out the day and then fails to show up to a movie date at your house what are you supposed to do? Drink a ******** load of nyquil and watch SNL since nyquil makes SNL 20% cooler. *brohoof* Got any stories about getting stood up on a date that you care to share?

Not exactly stood up but I might as well have been.... I went on this first date with this dumb boy who showed up an hour late to the movies and then ended up bringing his best friend. Then to top it off, he decided it would be appropriate to introduce himself to my mom. stare

was supposed to meet one of my ex's (who was a bf at the time) at the mall. waited forever and then decided to go home. three hours later (now five hours after we were supposed to meet) he decides to tell me that he forgot all about it even though he was the one who made the plans. didn't even have an excuse

I actually stood someone up. In my defense, I was tired. (I passed out in the shower)

No but I've been stood up at their house. Does that count considering I had to walk about 5 miles to get back home?

Well I Was supposed to skype with this girl (we like each other) and if we were to try to skype again it'd be the seventh try. She had a reason each time, one was lagit when a family member passed away, but you gotta wonder after seven tries are they reasons or excuses...

Only once. He kept me waiting at the out door mall for and hour before I left. Rather, an hour before a cop talked to me about the definition of "loitering".

Not technically stood up, but a girl I was texting decided she didn't want to talk to me again and I never heard back. Then a rebound guy told me at the last second that he was too busy to skype that day. Then a different guy texted me at midnight the day we were going to hang out that he had school work. Needless to say, none of these lasted.

Think of it this way...
Making someone adjust their schedule [potentially losing hours for other important things like work or school] and blowing them off is practically saying "I'm not interested." An excuse is fine, but it has to be a pretty damn good excuse (i.e. "I lost an arm") and, if possible, should be given ample time for notification (a few hours in advance would be nice).
Being stood up = They're not the right one. Someone who is interested and/or cares about you wouldn't have the indecency to ruin your night for a petty reason. How I know? I've been stood up by nearly half of my dates. After a while, it's a whatever.
Advice: If you're ever stood up, don't waste your time. Do something else; ask if a friend would like to do something, or maybe even spend the day treating yourself (I often go to the mall and window-shop).
