Imnir sat right outside his stall, basking in the warm sunlight and doing his best not to dwell on his worry for his children. Dela was safe at home, he knew that much, but what about Kid and Sertha? He shook his head, frustrated. He wished there was more he could do to make sure nothing happened to them, but it didn't seem like there really was...
Besides that, he had met other pups who seemed to dislike their parents' over protectiveness, and he certainly didn't want that. No, he'd just have to learn how to relax about it. After all, they were his children, they were strong... And as much as he hated to admit it, they were also Seven's, meaning they were probably smarter than average too.
Still, he'd feel a lot better once they were older and bigger.
"No use just sitting here... Best go train or something." He mumbled to himself as he stood up and shook the dust off his coat, "Sitting in the sun doesn't win fights."

Aea felt better after training, what she and Lous had done, had been helpful, and she felt alive for it. She grinned as she walked, and then let it slid into a smile across her maw. The tension in her rear leg was gone and there was a bounce to her step. She still had to wait to fight, but in the meantime, she would revel in what she had learned, what she knew she could do. The cobblestones were hard while the stones in the stream she had trained in had been smooth. An interesting contrast. But Aea liked it.
She was hard, but her spirit like a flame, hot but able to simmer when needed, and she liked to roam free as her master let her. Lous and Aea, they were one in the same, and would remain that way. She'd make her proud, and everyone would see. She wanted to be like the undefeated female, but it would take work, and respect, but she knew she had it in her.
She walked on, feeling the wind press against her and took a breath.
Something about today felt right, but she knew, it could change any moment.

Imnir glanced around casually and something more interesting than training quickly caught his eye. He put on his best charming face and strode over to the female fighter, looking up and down her lovely body as he approached.
"Well, what do we have here?" He chuckled, "I don't believe I've ever seen your lovely face before. How unfortunate for me." He winked and began walking beside her, not too close but not too far away. He didn't want to be too terribly forward, at least physically, but he'd certainly flirt from a respectful distance.
"My name is Imnir. What might yours be, beautiful?" He inquired, his tail wagging just a tad behind him, "Or should I just call you beautiful?"

As she was walking, the wind against her, she closed her eyes and took a breath and soon she heard a voice calling. Opening her eyes slightly she could see a figure approaching, large, brown, broad, with brawn. She quirked a brow, nose scrunching taking in his scent. "What you have here my..." looking to his horns, she thought of a silly comment, but kept it to herself, "ferocious looking friend, is a fighter, take notice," she said raising her head a little, giving a smile as she did so. She was playing, not being confident which she felt this mokai was trying to emanate.
When he walked with her, she felt herself a need to be on guard, he was a little bit larger after all, and she didn't know who he was.
Though he did...compliment her, but, ears flicking, she hoped he did not think her weak.
"I'm Aea, who might you be?"

Imnir smiled, "It isn't just my looks that are ferocious." He chuckled, "I'm a fighter too, though I suppose you probably knew that already. You seem like a smart girl." If there was one thing he had learned from Seven, it was that compliments could work wonders on the ladies. He didn't like it nearly as much as having his own ego stroked, but it was nice to have someone not hate you every once in a while.
"As I said before, my name is Imnir." He took a few quick steps ahead of her and bowed his head, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Aea. Your name is almost as lovely as the rest of you." He winked again and stepped back to the side to continue walking next to her.
"So, are you new around here? If not, we have a lot of catching up to do, gorgeous."

"Ah yes, almost forgot that, Imnir," she said drawing out his name on her tongue. She watched him, his reactions and his gestures. She smiled, watching as he posed compliments. He didn't seem ...bad, really. Just a male that pursued women, like the men that constantly bothered her master. "A fighter huh? You any good?" she walked, watched him do a bow and she quirked a bow.
He was really pressing it on wasn't he?
"You know, you're lucky I'm not like my master, when the human men get in her way, she throws her fist," she said with a soft laugh. Aea stopped walking, Imnir now in front of her. She eyed him over. He seemed battle worn, but not in a bad way. He seemed built for it, but so was she. She had abilities that she believed non other had, and that was an advantage.
"New, sort of. My master and I have only just started going in the pits, I'm undefeated so far through my battles," she said proudly. "But, before this, we've spent a lot of time out there," she said, motioning beyond the walls, "We train there, train together."

"Am I any good?" Imnir laughed, "Sweetheart, I'm one of the best. I've won six fights." He paused, thinking about it, "Lost one, but that was a long time ago. I've been on a winning streak ever since." He hated thinking about that loss, the fact that he would never be able to really claim to be undefeated, but he decided to ignore it for now. After all, he was sure he'd get another shot a that mokai who had ruined his perfect score, and then he'd make sure she paid for it.
"Am I in your way?" Imnir teased, "Just say the word and I'm gone, though it would pain me to do so." He sat down a respectful distance away, or maybe a respectful distance minus a little, and continued. "Though if you were to attack me, I'm sure it wouldn't be entirely unpleasant." He flashed her a grin, "Not that you're not a capable fighter, but being so close to a lovely lady like yourself, even in a fight, can't be all bad."
Was he laying it on too thick? Why was he even doing this? Imnir wondered for a moment why he was trying so hard with this one. Maybe it was just because she was so pretty, but on the other hand maybe it was because he wanted to get back at Seven. After the two of them had their little... Disagreement, he felt more than a little hurt by the fact that he was so easily rejected.
"Oh, training out in the wilds? You like it dangerous, eh?" He said it jokingly, but he was truly bothered by this revelation. He had a distinct hate for the wilds and all those who inhabited it, and the last thing he wanted was more mokai being corrupted by them and stolen away. "Just promise me you won't run off while you're out there, hm?"

Aea stopped and stood facing him. She watched him idly, watched him sit and held the urge to roll her eyes. He was stubborn, that much she knew. "Oh, six fights, but you still missed that one huh?" she made a mock pouty face, "they got that one over you Imnir." She looked voer him again and smirked, "I wonder if they had interesting designs, in comparison, you know, there," she motioned with her paw over his body and held in a soft laugh.
At his flirting, she held in her comments, and wished Lous would arrive. This male, was so confident, perhaps a little too much, perhaps if Lous came 'round he'd hold his tongue.
"Dangerous? Maybe, why, know of something that could...peak, my tastes, Imnir?" she asked and turned her head, "then again, whatever it or who it might be, you might suggest, would have to be able to handle out there, handle me, isn't easy, my human and I are a pair."
At his comment she looked at him, raising a brow, "What, afraid I'll go feral, and you won't have a chance to defeat me Imnir? Ha, I bet you've never even been out there."

Imnir's temper flared for a moment, and if she were watching closely Aea would be able to see it in his eyes, but he held back a growl and a retort using all of his restraint. This girl... Maybe she wasn't the sort of mokai he wanted to be involved with after all.
"It doesn't matter." He said with a huff, "Like I said, long time ago. If I faced her again I'd win, no problem. But enough of that." He was eager to get off the subject, just thinking about it was making him tense and the fact that she had the nerve to mock him was making it hard to hide his anger.
"Well as long as you go out with your human, you should be safe." He shrugged, "Most of those cowardly ferals are terrified of them, I doubt they'd go near you if that is the case."
Imnir was growing tired of this, and he wasn't doing a good job at hiding it any more. "If you decide to leave this place in favor of the wilds, it's your loss. I don't care one way or the other." He flattened his ears against his skull, his frustration apparent, "Don't test me, Aea. I've been nothing but polite to you so far, don't make me change that because you don't know how to show respect."

Perhaps a little of Lous had rubbed off on her too much. She had seen how Lous seemed to gesture towards men who made comments that made her make faces, and how she seemed to retort to make them know their place but this Imnir, he was...strange. Did he not catch the sarcasm in her speech? She let a slight frown cross her maw, "You know I'm I'm testin' ya, right?" she asked with a flick of her ears. She let a laugh grace her face, "I mean, Imnir, I've only been in two so far. Besides my comment, I have trouble, focusing sometimes," why was she even telling him this? "LInes, and colors, they distract me, since I was a pup, my master, Lous, teaches me how to control it, think of my words as a...counter attack, to your over-compliments, eh?" she said with a wink.
If he really did take things so seriously, then he was a strange mokai indeed.
"Cowardly? Is that what you really think of them? You've a lot to learn, I've seen em' sometimes, and they are anything but that. I bet there might be a feral or two that could even give you a run for your money huh?"
By his posturing, Aea sighed and shook her head, and at his words, a spark went off in her, eyes glinting, and they narrowed. "You seemed to care a minute ago, you really are like the stenchy men around here huh?" she asked referring to the big oafs that wandered around, bumbling around, "all talk no action." She stood, unafraid of him, head high as well as her tail.
"Polite, to a degree Imnir my friend, but I can test you if I want, gives me an idea of what the competition is, or had you thought this whole situation was merely a meet and greet? By the loko in your eyes and the shoulders on you, I can see you like to be an animal in the ring, but I wanted to see what rolled from your tongue, if it was any more fascinating than your pelt color," she said smirking.
"I could take you, just you wait. Just because we've been friendly doesn't mean there can't be a bit of heat, huh?"

Imnir's look quickly went from frustrated to puzzled to somewhere in between as he listened. Testing him? She was quite the strange one, but he didn't have any idea how to read her. "Well pardon me if I don't find pokes at my fighting record funny." He didn't sound as upset as before, but he obviously wasn't amused, "That girl cost me my perfect record, and I'm none too happy about it. I'm sure you won't be thrilled when someone beats you and scuffs up your position as undefeated."
He shook his head, "None of them could hold a candle to me, at least not one on one. The only reason they would have a chance is because they travel in groups and would outnumber me ten to one."
And there it was again, something to make his temper flare up. "Test me all you like, but be warned that testing my patience isn't always considered wise." He snorted, "I for one was just looking for someone to talk to. If you want to make this all about what will happen in the ring between us, then I won't waste any more of my time talking with you about it. You say I'm all talk and no action, but you'll see it differently once you're up against me."

She held in a laugh and watched him.
"One of them cross your path the wrong way, Imnir?" she asked. "There a feral out there who makes you nervous? You seem to have a lot of confiedence in yourself, but that doesn't mask the insecurity, the fear," she emphasized, "but, I digress," she said rolling her shoulders.
She walked a little towards him, to his side, eyes on his, and they shone like burning opal, flaring, hot.
"Oh, I don't think you'd want that Imnir," she said, and she whispered, "you wouldn't want another loss, tallied on, would ya?" and she pulled away before he was able to react. She knew he might lash out, but that was all right with her. He had a temper, that was good, she could use it against him.
"You think you have it all Imnir, but let me give you some advice, open your eyes and watch, for a minute, and maybe you'll be able to fully back up what you think."
"Aea!" Lous' voice called, "Aea, what're you doing?" Lous strode down the street, hands in pockets, her trinkets hanging from her belt. Ragged scarf round her neck, bright eyes loking on the two mokai. "Whose your friend? Don't tell em, your liking boys now?" she said with a laugh, balancing on the balls of her feet, rubbing Aea's head. She noticed, then, the other male mokai was not too happy. "You standing him up or something?"
Lous watched the male, squinted, and looked to his horns, "Better be careful boy, she takes and gets what she wants," Lous reached round her hip and pulled a small knife from a leather sheath and held it out in her hands. It was carved from horn, "She's tricky," she said with a wink.
Aea rolled her eyes and smiled a little at Imnir, she wished she knew what kind of human he had, so she would know what else she might be able to use against him if they did meet in the pit.
"You said I like it dangerous Imnir," Aea said looking straight at him, "You've no idea."

"I've had enough of this." Imnir growled, "You assume so much and you don't know a thing about what you're saying. What a foolish little girl." Both Aea and her human, they had both crossed a line with him. As far as he was concerned, they both should consider themselves lucky that he had learned to control his blind rage ever since... That incident. If he hadn't he would probably have hurt, maybe even killed, one or both of them by now.
In this state, he even took the unsheathing of the knife as a threat, regardless of if it was or not. "Make no mistake, I'll tear you up in the ring as soon as I get the chance, if you're not too scared to face me." His voice was icy cold by now, he was obviously dead serious. "What a frightened child you are, taunting and poking at me while outside the pit, where I can't hurt you. We'll see how you like it when I don't have to hold back."
His claws dug into the ground and he lowered his head and raised his tail in an aggressive stance, staring straight at Aea. "Leave, both of you. Before I change my mind about hurting you both out here."
He wasn't kidding.

Aea watched him and smirked, he was so easy to aggravate. Oh, this was going to be fun. She swayed her tail and stood next to Lous, leaning on her leg, head still up, dominant, eyes wide, aggressive. "Now you see Imnir, that is where your fault lies," she said simply, "you waste energy on such riveted speech, when you could save it for when you'll need it," she smiled. She knew silent fights were more serious than those that incorporated noises or words, "your verbal threats, a facade, thats all I see. Perhaps that is all you see from me as well, but then again, you know nothing about me, not yet at least," she grinned.
At his words Aea laughed, Lous looked down to Aea, whose small sounds towards Imnir made her wonder what exactly was happening between the two mokai. Regardless this male did not seem happy, but, this male knew nothing about either of them, he was knew just as they were.
"Please Imnir, I bet my master would have no problem skinning you if she felt the need, you wouldn't want her to bring that type of gift to your master eh? Or, rather, might I pay your master a visit while they are all alone hmm? They as arrogant and handle themselves alone? Or without big bad Imnir, are they a prime target," perhaps she had gone a little too far, but again, it was interesting pushing this male, seeing what she could get from him.
Aea leaned against Lous and crooned to her, motioning to go train, but before leaving, Aea looked over her shoulder, "Better be careful, big boy, or I'll be sure she adds one of your horns to her collection."
Aea could be silly, she could be soft, but when it came down to it, she could be a searing piece of metal ready to gauge into another.
"I look forward to when I fight you," and she truly did.
She wanted to put him in his place.

"Imnir, what on earth are you doing?" Naomi came jogging up behind her first mokai, placing a hand on the back of his neck near his collar and looking at the situation at hand.
"What is going on here?" Naomi frowned as she looked at Imnir, clearly upset by what ever was going on, and then at the other mokai and human pair. "Why are you so upset? Did they do something?" She didn't address either of the others, though she did give the other woman a rather strange and cautious look when she saw the knife in her hand.
"Come on, Imnir, let's go home and you can blow off some steam, maybe spar with Lamashtu."
The second Naomi's hand touched him Imnir began to relax. He knew that he would be able to maintain control while she was there. Relaxed or not though, he was no less angry.
"I'm not the only one who is just talking." He growled, "I'll see you in the ring, if you decide to show up." As much as he wanted to stay and keep going with this lovely little conversation of theirs, Imnir turned and went with Naomi as she gently guided him away from Aea and her human.
Maybe Lamashtu would know what to do about this.
