The room beside a certain selkie ghoul was usually empty. Unoccupied. Vacant. The door was locked and there was no name attached to it. Things had changed. Today the door was open, there was a happy little sign on it with a happy little smiley face and the word 'WELCOME!' scribbled on it in what had to be crayon. The door was left open for the moment revealing a messy room that was still being moved into. There were shells and pearls and dried seaweed decorating the place whether by intention or because it had fallen out of the room's new resident's luggage. It was probably the latter. Regardless of how it got there it seemed there was now someone living in this dorm, someone happy and cheerful and...peering around the corner staring at the room beside her with wide, turquoise eyes. She was humming a simple little tune...a very simple little tune. The little ghoul was laying on the floor on her stomach, trying to make herself seem as inconspicuous as she could. She was a ghoul on a mission and she intended to carry out this mission.

Ever since getting back from the whole... field trip in the human world, Marzena had shut herself back in her room and took a nice long dip in the little pool in her room. She had absolutely no idea how to describe what she had seen there and simply avoided as much interaction as possible. Why she had even thought it was a good idea to sign up for the field trip was beyond her.
Of course, eventually, she couldn't stay in her room forever. There was a longing for deeper and wider waters, and also, there seemed to be noises coming from the other side of the wall that seemed rather foreign. She was pretty sure the room beside hers had been empty when she moved in... but then again, she couldn't expect it to stay that way. Unfortunately. She would just have to learn to deal with it, and besides, growing up with ten siblings meant she was pretty used to noise. Still, it would be nice if her new neighbor wasn't too rowdy. She could only hope.
With the usual trademark scowl on her face, Marzena stepped outside her room, a towel slung over her shoulder and a swimsuit in hand, intending to head for the pool.
However, unbeknownst to the selkie, a certain someone else had a plan in mind intended for her.

The door opened and the humming stopped abruptly. The little ghoul's mouth formed into a tight little smile as she tried desperately to hold in her excited giggles. Seeing the other ghoul leave her room had her so excited! It had been months. MONTHS! It'd been far too long since she saw her favoritist person in the whole wide world of Halloween. Marzena.
MarzenaMarzenaMarzenaMarzena!
She couldn't do it. She couldn't just sit here and watch Marzena walk away. Sibyl squealed with delight, scrambled to her feet and ran at the ghoul. "MMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRZIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" She squealed, jumping off the ground and throwing herself at her friend.

Marzena had certainly not expected to get assaulted. Assaulted by both a high-pitched squeal and the source of the squeal itself, there was a wave of confusion washing through her as she struggled to understand what exactly was going on. "For the love of Poseidon, what..." She grumbled, struggling in the other ghoul's grasp. Wait. This ghoul knew her name. Also, she smelled rather familiar... of the sea... and wait, was that seal fur?
As she twisted herself around and caught a good glimpse of her attacker, Marzena paled. "Sibyl?!" She shrieked in absolute horror, then immediately clamped her hand over her mouth as she tried to make sense of the situation. What in the world was the other selkie doing here? Ocean blue eyes darted frantically about before grasping Sibyl by the collar and hissing into her ear. "Did my sisters follow you here?"
She certainly hoped not. Sabina would scream bloody murder when she saw exactly what had happened to her hair. Marzena was certainly not keen in dealing with a whole hoard of selkies, whether she was related to them or not. "What... what are you doing here?"

Sibyl latched onto Marzena and clung to her back like a leech, the smile on her face widening from ear to ear and her eyes as wide as they could get. It really was Marzena! Her hair was different but...it was Marzena! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! She even remembered her! Ohhh but why wouldn't she? They were best friends, right? They had to be! They were almost family! She either mistook the shriek for shock or just decided it was that instead of horror, giggling and nodding her head vigorously until her mouth was covered tightly. She blinked, large teal eyes staring upon Marzena's pretty face in curiosity. What was this? What was she up to? Why did she want her quie--eep! The little selkie squeaked as her collar was grabbed, letting go of Marzena to flail a little until the question was hissed into her ear. She blinked, shaking her head a bit. "Uh uh!" She answered, beaming with pride. "S'juuuuuuust me! I didn't tell your sissies I was comin' here or they would'a wanted to come and steal all my Marzietimes." She refused to share her Marzie! Yes.
When finally asked why she was there Sibyl wiggled with excitement. "I told my daddy that I missed you! Yes~. So he told me I should become a student! And learn to be really scary rawr!" Her gloved hands raised beside her head, and though they couldn't be seen she made her fingers as claw-like as possible and made the scariest face a Sibyl could make.
She wasn't very scary.
Her hands dropped again before she continued. "And so now I'm here and stuff and I can be with my MARZIE!" Suddenly she gasped, her gloved hands flying to cover her cheeks. "You cut your hair! A..and it's all different and stuff!"

"Good." Marzena muttered, releasing her grasp on the younger girl's collar. If Mira staring at her disapprovingly, Sabina and Serafina going ballistic over her hair, and Ada and the younger ones running about haywire around campus was what Sibyl meant by 'stealing Marzietimes', then yes, she was correct. Marzena would have simply started banging her head against the wall because that meant whatever little reputation she had would just crumble into dust. Not that she had much to begin with, being a selkie, and all.
"You're. Enrolled." She said in disbelief as Sibyl's words slowly sank in. "Here. In Amityville. With me." And Sibyl's father had actually said yes? She herself had to keep it secret from her own father because she was sure he would say no. Or maybe Sibyl had did a lot of pestering until she got the answer she wanted.
For a moment, Marzena was struck speechless, not knowing what to say to the prospect of having the younger selkie trail after her every single day. Not that she hated Sibyl, of course; they had grown up together after all, but Sibyl was... rather... loud.
"Y-yes." She stammered out, after the other ghoul brought out the subject of her hair. Instinctively, a hand flew to fiddle with dark hair strands, which was certainly in stark contrast to what had been platinum blonde hair that once was as long as Sibyl's. "I thought it... suited me better. For school, at least." It was a lame excuse, but she certainly hoped Sibyl would buy it.

As it began to click in Marzena's brain that yes, Sibyl was enrolled in Amityville with her and now lived in the room beside hers, Sibyl's grin grew wider and wider. She knew it. Marzie would be so excited she would be struck speechless, of course! It was only natural, it having been so long. "Yup! Yup! Yup! Yup annnnnd yup~!" She cheered, grinning from ear to ear now. She even threw her arms in the air with joy. She was speechless! She was so happy to see her! Yay! This was exactly what she wanted!
When Marzie's hand flew up to her hair Sibyl lowered her arms and watched her, taking off one of her mittens to reach up and do the same. She didn't feel the need to ask. She stood up on her tiptoes and pet Marzena's hair, gasping as it still felt normal! So weird! So weeeeeiiiird! But if Marzena liked it then Sibyl would like it too. "It's pretty! I won't be changing my hair though. Uh uh. I like it how it is." She shook her head a little and pet at her own long braid before putting her mitten back on, suddenly looking up at Marzena with wide, teal eyes and an excited smile.
"Marzie! MarzieMarziiiiie. I've missed youuuuuu! We should do somethin'! Like..right now!"
