Before isn't sure why he was here at the Gym. Then again, he wasn't sure when he ended at the Gym or how the got there but oh gosh golly gee was he happy to be here! 8DDDDD He had an excess of energy. Waaaaay too much of an excess and he figured where else could he go and burn off alllllla that energy? He could run around the compound as maaaaaany times as it took but uh he might be disturbing others in the process.
Besides, wasn't the Gym some place he should reeeeeeally start getting used to? Yeah? Yeah? Yeaaaaaaah~ Maybe he ought to train. He kept getting his a** kicked and while he was used to it, you know it couldn't hurt to give his opponents a run for their money 8DDDDD Makes sense? Yeah makes sense. But did he have it in him to hit anyone at the moment? He was feeling too happy and too eager to share his happiness ;; Oh gosh darn it.
Hey! Hey! Heeeeeeeey! Maybe he could convince someone to join him? 833333 As quickly as he got to the Gym, he was speeding down the halls looking for someone who was more than liable to take him up on his offer to train without sincerely trying to end him.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" he called out when he spotted the familiar ponytail <3

Ariane twitched when she heard that voice - it wasn't that she wasn't happy about Before being (still) alive and well, but his level of energy was actually rather irritating when she wasn't amused by something that he was doing... And she was still a little annoyed by the fact that she hadn't been doing very well in her spars with the new trainees. It was humiliating, and frustrating to no end.
Stopping in her tracks, she inhaled deeply and then sighed; it would be best to humor him right now. Besides, it had been a while since they last talked; this might be a good time to catch up. Turning around to face him, she greeted him by giving a nod of her head before placing her hands on her hips.
"Hey," She raised an eyebrow at the way he was practically bouncing off the walls; she shouldn't be surprised since this was Before, but she decided to ask anyway, "You seem happy today. Something happened?"

Before was bouncing on his heels when he skidded to a stop in front of Ariane. *w* He was, as always, oblivious to her state of mind and what had been happening with her. But heeeeey, this was totes the perfect opportunity to catch and share their feelings and thoughts and wait, he was looking for her for some other reason didn't he? "I got to help Clarice with pendant stuffs! Then she brought be COOKIES!!! They were so good! I had one for you but I ate it, I'm sorry!!!!" ;A; he apologized. But quickly brightened, "But but but hey you busy right now? You wanna go to the Gym with me a bit and spar and stuff or talk and stuff?" he was chattering a mile-a-minute here. Hopefully he wasn't garbling his words though it wouldn't be surprising if he was > n>

"Cookies?" She echoed with a frown, staring at Before for a whole two seconds before smacking her own forehead; now it all made sense. Why he was so damned wired... Ugh, Clarice! She thought that the female hunter would have more sense than to feed someone like before a joy cookie... Much less several cookies.
"Ugh, Before you fool," She muttered, only really half-listening to him, "Sure, sure, I'll babysit you but only because you look like you might hurt yourself." Who knows? A spar might actually get him to calm down... Hopefully anyway.
It was always hard to tell with Before.

Before couldn't help himself. The cookies were. Just. So. Goooooood ;w; "Yaaaaaay!" He cheered, throwing his arms up into the air before he grabbed Ariane's hands to pull her towards the Gym <3333 There wasn't any sort of messy feeling involved with the touch. A hand was just a hand. It wasn't like she was a certain dark-skinned trainee with an awesome badass hairdo.
"You know we don't hang out much since we got outta those pods. How've you been? What've you been doing? Have you tried any of those training tasks yet?" he excitedly asked, trying to multitask between catching up and preparing for the spar.

She sighed, allowing herself to be dragged to wherever Before was taking her to, keeping up with his pace, a frown on her lips. Before was one hyperactive kid... High on cookies.
Sigh.
"I've been here and there," She replied, trying her best not to visibly twitch, running her free hand through her hair, "Eh, not doing much, really... Fed minipets. Annoying things... And no, although I might be trying one soon, with a friend. Maybe."
There was only one person she would openly call 'friend', and that was Jeremy.

Normally, seeing someone unhappy with him quickly puts Before into a somber mood. Or at least pulls his smile into a massive pout. He doesn't frown in those situations because he's not upset with the person and thus believes the situation doesn't call for a frown. But right now? With all that JOY in him? Even anything remotely pleasant makes him cheer!
"That is awesome, Boss!" he beams, suddenly throwing his arms open to give Ariane the biggest, warmest, hardest hug he was capable. "Happy for youuuuuuuuu~" he cooed.

Ariane mentally flipped a million tables.
And then pushed Before away.
"You," She glared at him before sighing, giving him a look the same way someone would scold a child with. She then wasted no time in summoning her weapon, the necklace around her neck glowing before the heavy chains appeared in her hand, "No. More. Cookies. For. You. Ever." She then proceeded to attempt to beat some sense into Before.

Before hadn't even managed to summon Vanna when Ariane followed up the shove with HER BALLS TO HIS FACE! Okay, fine, he deserved that when he remembered her dislike for physical affection. At least when they came from Before QQ it was just a hug. Hugs were good! Hugs always made Before feel better. ALWAYS!
He was about to apologize when she said. She went and forbade him from having cookies. Ever. DDDDDDDDDDDDD8 "B-but... but... WHY!?!?!?" he gasped in dismay.
I believe you must defeat her in order to continue consuming those not-quite-right spookies. Vanna suggested. Well, if that was the case, Before called forth his wheel and swung!

Before couldn't help himself. He is sorry. Really, honestly, truly sorry. But. Just. NNNNNG so super duper uper goooooooood and he reeeeeally needed a pick-me-up after all the bad-stuffs they've been going through and and and- "Maybe?" he answered. At that exact moment he wasn't sure why it was bad for him. They made him feel so HAPPY and and and wasn't that a good thing?
He was supposed to feel upset at this point. He knows he should but he can't help but want to grin and smile even as he once again struck at Ariane. This time, the spokes of the wheel grazing her arm.

"Not good enough, Before," She scowled, fingers tightening around her weapon as she winced; she could feel the spokes tearing through her fear shield but she didn't bother to check the damage. Instead, seeing how he was so clearly within her range, she lowered her weapon, swinging and aiming for the back of his knees instead.

"B-but I am listening," Before tilted his head to the side, trying to give his best wounded puppy look. Which might have been effective if he wasn't being so gosh darn giddy about it. Even when the balls and chain swept him off his feet and had him land flat on his a**, all the JOY-filled trainee could do was glee through the pain. "Are you mad I didn't save you one?" he suddenly asked as he sat up. Teal eyes stared up at the Death Hunter trainee before Before laughed and made an attempt to tackle her legs.

As she fell, she scowled and tossed her weapon at Before after delivering a swift kick to his face; the close range meant that Kintama didn't get the chance to grow as long as he had before, but somehow, that translated to bigger balls that caused the chains to wrap tightly - and probably painfully - around his trunk and arms due to inertia from the throw, the weight of the steel balls holding him down.
"You've been a really bad child, Before," She growled, climbing to her feet before standing over the male, her tone icy cold as she narrowed her eyes, "I wash my hands off of you - do whatever you want, I don't care anymore. And no, take all the cookies for I want nothing to do with them."
She took several steps back and her weapon vanished from around Before, reappearing in Ariane's hand as she took a defensive stance.

Under normal circumstances, that would have upset Before immensely and rendered him silent and unable to string anything coherent. Under normal circumstances, Before would have wordlessly untangled himself from the chains, completely unable to look at Ariane while he shuffled out of the Gym. Oh he heard the words and knew how serious Ariane was being. And as sobering as the situation was, all that JOY still coursing through him made it near impossible for him to feel more than a little disappointed about the whole thing. Instead of fighting to blink back tears and ignoring the gnawing ache brewing in the pit of his stomach, Before simply stared at Vanna. "Woooooow, that's. That's real harsh, Boss. Must be nice to be able to deal with stuff the way you do," he smiled, gloved hands trembling.
His head suddenly jerked up, giving the death trainee a grin that was too bright to be sincere and then promptly tried to bash Vanna against Ariane's skull.
