Ariane sighed, shaking her head as she pulled her necklace out from around her neck. There was a brief flash of light, and heavy chains settled noisily on her palm, two steel balls hanging from either side; as heavy as it looked and was, Ariane had gotten rather used to the feel and weight of her weapon. In fact, she was grinning as her fingers closed around the chains.
"Impatient, I see," She laughed, pulling the chains apart between two hands so that it was taut as she adopted a rather defensive position, holding out the chains in front of her like she was intending to block any coming attacks.

"What can I say? You said the magic words, and all." Otto gleamed, readying himself to battle. Any excuse to fight was good with him. However, because of the Joy cookie, he was overwhelmed with feelings he didn't understand. The only way he felt he could grasp them was to fight it out.

"I did," She grinned and then, without warning, charged at Otto, side stepping suddenly when she was within range in order to to get to his side. That weapon of his was just... Rather ridiculous, but she was curious as to how it would work in battle - would it really be like a giant boomerang? Doesn't that mean if there were people in the way, they would all get hit?
She swung her weapon at his leg before side stepping again to his back, and then taking several steps back, her eyes never leaving him.

Otto brought up his boomerang to defend against her attack, only to be fooled as she sidestepped him, hitting his leg before he could react. "Sunnuva--" He whirled around to face the girl, somehow still grinning despite being drugged on joy.
"Sneaky." He smirked, bring his weapon up and slamming it down like a club toward the girl's shoulder.

She winced at the hit, buckling down on one knee before quickly rolling out of the way, "You use it like that?" She grinned, picking herself off the ground as she dusted herself off, her weapon hanging in her hand as she rotated her shoulder; it still hurt, but at least it wasn't dislocated or anything along those lines.

"Yup. Usually." Otto answered, turning his head to where Arianne had rolled to. "Whatever suits my fancy." It was easier than trying to run and keep his distance so he could throw it, that was for certain.
Since she wasn't attacking, Otto lunged forward and slammed the weapon down on her other shoulder.

Yup, still no dislocation, thankfully, and no time to rest. She gripped tightly onto one end of her weapon before swinging it behind Otto and grabbing the other end. She then pulled while moving away, hoping to trip him.

Otto's attention was on the ball whirling around him, anticipating a hit that never came. With a yelp, he was swept off his feet, landing on his back with a hollow grunt. That almost knocked some wind out of him.
With a light cuss, he got to his knees and back on his feet.

Not giving him time to recover, she brought her steel balls down on his shoulder with a grin before moving away again, "Your weapon is a lot like you when used as a long ranged weapon."

"How'dya figure?" Otto snapped back, wincing from the hit to his shoulder.
The teenager booked it, sprinting across the field away from Ariane. Suddenly, with a turn of his heel, he threw the giant weapon toward the girl. When it hit, it hit hard, yet through the nature of the weapon and its momentum, continued to be airborn as it returned to its master. Otto caught the boomerang's handle, skidding back a foot or two and grinned.
"Y'mean like that?"

She took the hit, being thrown back as she swore loudly, bending over and clutching her stomach in pain; this was one of those times where she was thankful for the fear shield... That would have broken a few bones, no doubt, if she had taken the full damage.
"Like that," She spit out, narrowing her eyes at Otto as she forced a grin, the pain making it difficult for her to actually move much without wincing, "Blunt, forceful and without any regard to people around you, shoving them aside... Careful you don't get left behind by your team one day."
She forced herself to stand up straight, ignoring the ache in her muscles as she clenched her fist around the chains of her weapon. When she was closer to Otto, she threw her weapon at him, the chains growing longer till it hit the trainee's ankles. Immediately, inertia sent the chains wrapping around his legs as the heavy steel balls on each side grew in size and weight, intending to trip and hold Otto down.
"Kintama!" She yelled a moment later, holding out a hand where she was standing as she panted; that toss took a lot out of her, and she was just using whatever time Kintama had managed to "earn" for her to try to recover. In a flash of light, the weapon vanished, only to appear in his desummoned form in Ariane's hand, where he quickly went back to his weapon form.
'I know.'
'Easier said than done, at this point in time.'

Ariane's little speech on morals earned a rather animated eye-roll from the teenager.
Otto figured he'd done pretty amazing. That was a solid hit, and all. Ariane looked ready to keel over.
He was wrong.
As she moved closer, Otto got ready to defend. But he was caught off guard. As she swung, he'd thought the reach of her weapon was limited and made no move to defend. The balls of her weapon hit his ankle, forcing a choked yelp from the boy, before the chains wrapped and pinned his legs, forcing him to the ground with little chance to break his own fall.
He made small attempts to struggle, but everything hurt. Everything throbbed and stung.
After a moment, the chains were gone from his legs, and Otto rolled to his side, groaning.
After a while, he finally, shakily, got to his feet. It hurt to stand. He moved to swing his weapon at Ariane, wincing as he put pressure on his ankle.

"Come on," With adrenaline pumping through her veins, she was actually able to ignore the pain, even as he managed to land a hit on her again; sure, this would all come back to haunt her later, but that was not her worry right now, "You've been doing pretty good." She grinned, her eyes locking onto Otto.

Otto sneered, running from the girl, cussing under his breath about her being a cocky b***h.
His weapon began to glow, as if the energy from his last three attacks was now ready to be released. He turned on his heel, throwing his boomerang with a much more powerful gust.
When it hit Ariane, it sent a shock wave that made the damage much higher than it's usual effectiveness, before spinning back toward Otto.

She held back a yell when she was hit, being thrown backwards rather painfully from the shock wave from the weapon; at least she had seen what he could do now... She stayed on the ground for a moment, breathing heavily before crawling up, knowing that there was no time for her to waste; every second spent lying about could lead to another attack heading her way, leading to no breathing time.
Clenching her teeth, she ran towards Otto, her weapon at the ready as she swung them towards his stomach, brows furrowed in concentration.
