Oki was enjoying this battle place. It was good to stretch out and spar again! So without giving time for his trainer to object, he ran off to find another battle. He found another empty battlefield and sat in the middle of it, waiting for an opponent to show up.
Anise was left chasing after her pokemon uselessly again. This time she just took her place in the trainer box, resigned to waiting for her pokemon to finish so she could tend to his wounds afterward.

Howell nearly bumped into Anise. Which he didn't really mind, seeing as she was female. He smirked at her and met her eyes. "Fancy a battle?" he asked, playing with a pokeball in his hand. "One on one." He tossed the pokeball.
"Go, Joltik."

Anise was surprised when another trainer came up behind her. "Uh, sure," she said. "I can battle you. Or, my Zorua can, anyway. You need to take your place in the other trainer box, though," she said, pointing to the spot on the opposite side of the field.
Oki looked over the yellow bug that appeared on the field. It didn't look so tough. He barked a challenge and dared it to come at him.

Howell rolled his eyes. He never liked that rule. He went over to the trainer box, shrugging. "Alright, Joltic. Normally we'd let ladies go first, but..." The boy smirked. "Use electroweb."

Oki tried to avoid the sparking web, but it settled over him anyway. He was jolted hard by the electricity before he could wiggle free of it. He glared at the bug, then shot forward for a Faint Attack.

This time the web got caught in Oki's feet and made him trip. He crashed to the ground and struggled for what seemed like far too long before he got free. That hurt! He growled softly before diving forward for a Fury Swipes.

Howell seemed very pleased that Joltic had been able to dodge the attack. He gave a cheer. "Use thunderbolt!"

Oki got shocked again when the Joltock shot a bolt of lightning at him. How could such a tiny pokemom hurt him so much? Maybe keeping his distance would help. He bounded several steps back, then shot out the pitch-black waves of darkness that formed a Night Daze.

Again with the electric net! Oki was getting tired of getting tangled in this stuff. He was slightly faster at getting out this time, but it still hurt. He dashed forward to hit the bug with another Faint Attack.

This bug was getting so predictable that Oki was able to dodge the latest web. He resisted the urge to stick a tongue out at the opponent and instead closed in for another Fury Swipes.
