Serah was sitting at her workshop, placed on the first level of her house, trinkets scattered on the table before her. Her small engraving and shaping tools were also mingled with the supplies, a warm heat emanating from the oven she used to bake silver. She only had a few assignments, one or two pieces commissioned, allowing the female to lean back lazily on her chair.
Her eyes closed in a serene posture, breathing as if she was taking in the simple feeling of existing and .. just being here. She might have looked asleep if not for the tapping of her foot to some invisible melody, tipping her head to the side. She could hear footsteps on the walkway outside .. Mildly, she wondered if that was another customer from town.
Sylth also stirred in his sleep, the music notes bobbing softly up and down, like the tides rolling up gently amongst the side of the beach that wasn't too far from here. "Hm?"
The small jjngle of bracelets on her door rang, signalling that the unknown visitor was coming in.

One hand still lingering on the handle of the door, Fae swept her eyes slowly in an arc around the room as she entered the metalsmith's shop, idly eyeing the room with mild interest. This was not the first time she had entered this shop, but each time the witch took a few moments to appreciate the warm glow the place seemed to emit, vibrant and full of life. Despite the chill outside, a gust of pleasantly warm air rushed to meet her as she stepped past the threshold, the fireplace crackling and roaring enthusiastically where it heated up the metal Serah used. Blinking slowly, her eyes finally settled on the desk where her friend sat peacefully, only then stepping the few more feet into the room and allowing the door to slide closed with a click. She noticed that, like her own, the work-desk was covered in materials, scattered in an organized chaos around their master -- it was one of the reasons she liked Serah, the girl had an admirable passion for her work.
Sliding her cloak off her shoulders, Fae took a few more steps into the room, respectfully approaching the master of the shop with a polite but distinct familiarity. "I apologize if I've interrupted," she spoke up, her voice low and relatively quiet, as if not to disturb the peace of the room, "You seem rather comfortable." Although the first part of her sentence had sounded formal, there was the slightest hint of a tease lacing the latter of her comment, a good-natured humor that only touched her eyes. Considering their occupations, Fae had found it almost impossible not to become friends with the jewel-master -- even had she not thoroughly enjoyed Serah's company, her visits were frequent enough it would have been impossible not to establish some sort of relationship. Metal was not only a great conductor of electricity, but magic as well, one of the reasons that jewelry was often used in enchanted objects. Easily kept on your person, mostly unnoticeable, with the ability to retain power well, it was something that she herself used, although far more infrequently and usually only for emergencies. Still, the witch could not help but unconsciously reach up to touch the silver pentagram at her neck, ironically the first commission she had ever asked of Serah.

Serah sat a little straighter in her chair as the door opened, looking as warm as her environment did in her girlishly high collared cloak that hung off her back and half on the chair, topped with the little hat that covered allowed her sunrise hair to spill over her shoulders.
Serah's head tipped back to identify the guest, her view providing her with an upside down one.
It was Fae. Serah had always liked Fae, in more than a professional capacity .. although, professionally, Fae's orders were not all that complicated or fussy to make. Turning slightly, Serah's foot intertwined with a leg of another chair, the lightweight wood dragged slightly on the velvet carpeted ground at another table for the polite witch to seat herself. The cloak that Serah had been half-wearing fell off her shoulders as she stood to prepare several cups and a plate on the empty table, seated in the middle of the room, away from her workspace. It was no secret, when Fae reached up to finger her necklace, that one of the most pleasing parts about their friendship was the value they placed within their works and each other. So for Fae to still hold onto one of Serah's first commissioned works was an immense pleasure and compliment for the jewelry-maker.
If there was a favorite amongst her customers, Fae would be ranked at the top. But she was already at the top of Serah's friends, she had no need to be placed into the customer category.
"Please do sit. If you had told me of your visit earlier, I would have prepared biscuits. But for now, I do have a delicious manga flavored iced tea. Although, considering what a cold day it is .. Perhaps, a hot cup of hot cocoa might work better?" Serah asked with a thoughtful seriousness, the nature of their visits usually accompanied with a small drink or meal of some sorts and a lengthy discussion of their next commission. Rarely did their meetings run any differently but there was always some occasion when it did..
Perhaps, the most recent topic of today's chat was something new they had both acquired?
