Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Walpurgis walked casually into the stadium. He couldn't help but to jitter a little from the excitement - ignoring the sims that all the grunts were required to run, this was his first battle. He stopped short of the trainer stand to take a few deep breaths - a calming exercise his parents had taught him. The jitters stopped, and Walpurgis smiled as he surveyed the arena.

The arena was very plain if one ignored the five pillars in it. Still, his rocket training had taught him to always be aware of traps. The pillars were aligned in a very specific way - it was very likely they meant something, and he would simply have to find out what that was.

Reaching for his belt, Walpurgis grabbed Gangrel's pokeball. This would make him happy, most assuredly. Gangrel loved to fight, he had done it all his life. But the training drones he routinely decimated could only entertain him for so long.

His cloak waving, Walpugis threw the pokeball into the field, releasing the rattata. The pokeball snapped back into Walpurgis' hand as Gangrel surveyed the area, his fur standing on end from the static..

A blue cat-like creature seemed to be whizzing around in unceromonious tomfoolery. Gangrel recognized the pokemon to be a Mew, a pokemon Team Rocket was interested in for genetic research. But the rattata and it's trainer were not here on a mission. Gangrel narrowed his eyes at the rambunctious pokemon.

It would be a good challenge.

Gangrel watched as the sphere of spirit energy flew towards him at alarming speeds.

[Ha! Too easy!]

At the last moment, the rattata bounded from the place the ball of potent energy would have struck and let loose a chatter of snickers. [Sucker!] Almost as in response to Gangrel's taunt, the sphere swerved right towards the small rattata, blasting him from behind, sending Gangrel flying forward, crashing hard into the dirt.

Gangrel sat up, spitting out dirt. [Son of a flea-ridden....] Eyes flashing, Gangrel bared his fangs. That cat would pay for that. No one was going to make a mockery of his first true battle.

From the trainer's box, Walpurgis was worried. Not for Gangrel, but for the Mew. That aura sphere just smacked him down as he was boasting. The rattata would not let that go easily. Walpurgis sighed. "If I don't tell him to go for the throat, so to speak, he going to be pissed at me..." With another sigh, Walpurgis silently asked for the forgiveness of both the mew and it's trainer, and commanded Gangrel to use a Crunch attack.

Gangrel let loose a feral chatter, that of a crazed squirrel rather than a rattata. Walpurgis would have to get that checked sometime. The rattata leapt forward with renewed vigor, zigzaging this way and that. He used the momentum to climb up the pillar the mew floated by, launching himself off as his teeth grew longer, sharper, more menacing. Opening wide, he flew towards the mew.

((Is this simplified? If it's not, you don't need to roll for Aura Sphere, it just does 100 HP every time. :3))

Walpurgis gasped as the fist flew towards Gangrel's face - it was too close to do anything, and it collided hard against the side of the rattata's face.

Gangrel felt the impact, and as much as his jaw screamed at him to do otherwise, he tried to hang on. But in the end, his jaw decided what was what, and the rattata's grip on the mew's tail faltered and Gangrel began to fall to the ground.

Thinking fast, Walpurgis shouted out a command. "Gangrel, use Blizzard to soften your fall, and maybe slow down that Mew!"

Gangrel's red eyes burst open, and began to take on a new, blue pigment. The arena grew cold, and a frigid wind erupted downward from the rattata, slowing it's fall speed. Gangrel looked toward the mew, his face devoid of the rage it contained just moments before, willing the snow and wind towards the mew.

Walpurgis' eyes lit up like a christmas tree. This was their chance. "Gangrel! Use Crunch!"

Gangrel chattered with excitement, his eyes back to their normal red, the rage and murderous intent returned. Like he needed to be told.

Again, his fangs grew long and hardened as Gangrel sank them into the block of ice containing the trapped Mew.

Gangrel pulled his fangs from the ice, and glared strongly at the encased mew, willing his teeth longer, sharper. Reaching the limits of how far he could grow them, he once again dug his fangs into the ice, directly into the crevice formed in the last attack.

Kayla groaned as this time the attack went through and aimed true. The crack was definitely bigger and deeper but that just means that the attack must have reached Snookie this time. "Hang in there, Snookie..." The ice was starting to crack just enough but not enough.
