He found the note under his door the next day and almost didn't open it, seeing as how it was balled up like someone's used tissue. It was only Master's unnatural fixation on the dingy wad that prompted West to give it any attention at all. He frowned as he read the brief summons. Was this a test? After what he had said to her, would she show up to this fight as a giant damn tatzel? For the first time that he could remember, West had gone to the library following their last meeting. He hadn't been able to find out much, but at least he now knew that 'tatzel' had a 'wurm' on the end and they were all effin' huge. After all the times he had taunted her, he was kind of surprised he was still alive, to be honest. Since there was not an actual time on Levi's note and he didn't know when she had dropped it off, West got to the gym early on the designated day, taking a seat outside close to where he had spent many hours waiting for opponents the week before. Whether she headed for the arena or came to the indoor gym, he would see her. Or rather he would have seen her, if he hadn't dozed off against the side of the building. He wasn't very deeply asleep, but if someone was quiet enough around him, he wouldn't stir.

When the tatzel realized it was time, she rushed out of her dorm room, leaving with a towel thrown over one shoulder. Well- this was an excellent way to warm up. She ran towards the gym, hoping he'd arrive before the wrath demon despite what was likely to be a late arrival. Somehow she'd managed to lose track of the time while baking a batch of candy corn cookies to take over to a certain reaper.
It was going to be fine. Yep. She filtered through a pack of cleaning gnomes who mumbled a few chosen words as she nearly knocked them over. Finally reaching that final corner in the hallway, Levi rounded it expecting to see a stern face from West with his arms crossed saying "WHAT SORT OF TEACHER COMES LATE? JUST FORGET IT." That just wouldn't do.
What she did find once she was able to see the outside of the gym entrance, a sigh of relief and then humor passed her lips. He'd fallen asleep; her opponent/student had fallen asleep. It was like a silent for of mockery somehow that he'd fall asleep when she'd given him instruction to bring his fight.
Was this some way of him retaining his fight? She'd seen something like that mentioned on the skeeV before, she thought. In any case, Levi quietly snuck up to the wrath demon and stood there smirking for a moment over his motionless form. Oh- the wheels were indeed already turning.
With the flicker of her tail, Levi snaked her furry white tendril loosely around the boil's shoulders. Then she moved in with a pinching finger and thumb to West's nose, stopping his breathing.
wakey wakey, eggs n' bakey!

At the first touch of her tail to his shoulder, West twitched and shifted, but didn't wake. When she pinched his nose, however...
"Whahuggina," he murmured, his eyes shooting open and his fists rising to strike his attacker. The boil began breathing through his mouth almost immediately after that, and once he realized who was restraining him, his expression soured. He hadn't been saving strength for their fight or employing any secret strategy, he had simply been... bored.
"Took y'long enough," West muttered, his hand relaxing and dropping to rest on her tail. "Now geddof me!"

Priceless. KEKEKEKE~ The tatzel just laughed a hillbilly laugh at West's reaction to her trickery. For the short time that it lasted, it was still worth it. Uncoiling her tail from around him, she stepped back a foot and sat bat on her tail like it was a portable chair of some sort.
Alright- look. So 'I brought ya 'ere ta assess tha situation. Sure, we'd dun been roughin' before but been awhile n' things change when ya fight different times. In a nutshell- she wanted to see his current abilities and how far he could go with her without the hassle of environmental factors. Just a one-on-one trial to make a note of just how much the wrath demon would need her to train him. Just gettin' a feel fer where ya are fer things, ya know?
She stood again, and looked towards the ring before smirking back at West. Think yer ready? She knew he probably was, but it was fun to peck at his ego.

After she let him go West scrambled to his feet, blinking the sleep out of his eyes before crossing his arms as usual. He sighed as she spoke, wondering if she was just doing this to humiliate him further. She knew what he could do, and much of it didn't compare to the slippery shenanigans she pulled. But this was a gym, not the forest or her room, and there was one thing that was sanctioned here that wasn't allowed anywhere else on campus. FEAR.
It gave him hope. Probably misplaced, but hope nonetheless.
"Yeah, I am," he replied with a smirk. His arms fell back at his sides and he pushed past her as he moved into the center of the room.

Heh. Even in his situation he still didn't hesitate to shove at her on the way to the empty space. It was an empty space... she'd been in this gym before and all but- ... it only became more apparent now without all the tents and things that the floor was watery underneath. She blinked for a moment before shaking her head and keeping her focus on the demon. She took position opposite him.
Alright then- ...eh, how we goin' a'bout this? It was her first time in a structured setting like this while fighting.

"...start!"
He barked out a laugh as he lunged for the ghoul, swinging a fist at her before she could it him first. It felt good to get first blood, even if there wasn't any blood. Not yet, at least. West took a couple of quick steps back, crouching low and watching her attentively. Retaliation was imminent, and he planned on being as prepared to counter it as possible.
"C'mon then," he taunted, his grin more giddy than vicious.

Oh. Oh so they just- started. Okay. That would be easy enough. The ghoul took a good hit to the gut with West's first hit on her. She new he had fists worth avoiding at any cost if she wanted to last in this and it took a great deal of effort for her to keep her stability when he backed off of her. Despite throbbing pain of being hit that hard, she worked up another smirk. Well ya no gud jackin'...
She spoke not out of anger but of humor. It was a smart move to go in for the hit like that while she was off her guard. She moved swiftly; he'd likely look to her tail for a direct hit. Instead, she ran at West in his crouched position and leap-frogged over him in bounce, kicking off his back and hopefully pushing him down into the floor with two feet and a tail.
Swinging around, she watched what her move had accomplished and his reaction to it, keeping to a crouch herself. Her tail curled up in the air while her fingers and feet kept to the floor.

As predicted, he looked to Levi's tail for the attack, missing her forward assault until she was already in the air. He moved to guard then, but it was a stance more suited to her crashing into him from the front, not above, and he absorbed the full force of her feet on his back as well as his jaw and chest hitting the floor. At least he didn't bite his tongue this time.
West groaned and got to his feet as quickly as he could, wincing as he turned his head to the side for a moment and cracked his neck. He didn't even bother returning the favor, at least not yet. "Jackdammit ghoul," he muttered. He kept his eyes on her, waiting for her to come at him again.

He held his position for half a minute, running his fingertips up and down his bruising sternum as he contemplated what to do next. She was right. He had asked her for a reason. But he still didn't feel like losing.
She wanted something? He'd give her something.
With a grin of his own West quickly took to the air, his wings straining as he sped straight upwards toward the ceiling. He spun and immediately dropped into a dive, his right hand beginning to flicker with an angry red glow. Faster and faster he fell until he was close enough to swipe at the ghoul with his blazing fist. He landed well past her, barely noticing his attack's rebound, and turned to face Levi again, sparks dancing in front of his eyes as he caught his breath.
West was having fun too.

It was when West decided to take to the air again that Levi let out a hiss. This should be good. Bracing herself, she hadn't quite counted on the actual force of West's plowing into her. The heat of his fist against her felt different this time. It hurt like a jackin' bat bite to the eye. Was this... West using FEAR on her? Somehow the trauma to her body caused an uncontrollable coughing.
That coughing. It was the same she'd been experiencing lately and with the coupling of the hit, she had to take a knee. It wasn't letting up. She clawed at the floor with her fingers, trying to keep keep herself from getting completely out of hand. Within a few minutes it began to settle and she shakily moved to stand upright. T-that was 'a good one, boil. Yeah. Like 'that.
It was a commendable hit that caused her own FEAR to be upsetted; she had to give kudos when they were earned. But do ya got anymore fight in ya after that? She'd still continue on; if the cough returned, she'd just have to make due. After inviting West here to observe his fight, she wasn't about to call it quits by a long shot.

When he finally stopped struggling to take in air, all of West's attention refocused on the tatzel. What was she doing? Was this a battle tactic? Well, it wasn't going to work. He would not be lured closer just because she was having some sort of fit.
As the coughing continued, West's curiosity grew. He thought about Jericho's die to the head and his own... death. Was this the same thing? A FEAR gone wrong? He did get closer then, against his better judgment, his legs tensed to spring away if she tried something. When she straightened again, he relaxed slightly and scowled. His hand shot out, close enough now to flick her ear as he had Demi's.
"Not even tired," he replied, hopping back in anticipation of her trying something. She seemed better than she had moments before, and better meant sneakier.

Indeed, it was wise for West to back off when the ghoul hissed at the flicking of her ear. Hey- those were sensitive, jack dammit. Another stream of hissing and a baring of teeth would show Levi meant business again. The edges of her lips curled up in a wicked smile. Oh- there was definitely more trickery afoot.
She wound around him in circles, running at top speed. If he was going to give her an aerial attack, she'd show him one of her own as well. In confidence that he'd lost track of her motions just long enough for her to move in for the attack, Levi bounded up into mid air. Like a bird of prey herself, she dropped down towards West with a cackle. Over'ere! Her feet hit first, trying to bring the boil down again to the floor. She clawed into his shoulders with her nails, also trying to force him down into a pin.
He'd been pinned by her before. This time, it was from the front again- what would he do? Ain't tired none neither.
