Rolled a two: Rock field:Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility. Mina entered the stadium, her eyes searching for any opponent that'd go against her. She had come here unannounced, with no trainer in mind to go against, as her Marowak, Rohe, excitedly dragged her to the stadium with less than ample time to prepare. She simply hoped she wouldn't have to wait here for hours.
Rohe, still excited from her earlier win against a wild Pokémon they had encountered along the way, ran ahead onto the field, tail lashing eagerly with her trusty bone in hand.

Arriving first and immediately taking a perch on a rock was Prince with head held up high in the most regal manner he could assume. Meanwhile, Luna chuckled in amusement. Prince just exuded that arrogance.
She was a bit more skepticle though. This was the rock field - and that Marowak, if she recalled correctly from previous battles, probably knew rock attacks. All the worse for her bird. But win or lose, she would benefit either way. It wasn't a gym battle after all.
"Hey there, up for a battle?" Luna called out to the trainer that had arrived first.

Prince was impatient - he wanted some good stress relief and the other pokemon looked a bit TOO happy with its tail wagging so immaturely. He wasted no time in flapping his wings which released a gust of ominous purple wind that began to fill up the stadium.
"PRINCE!" Luna gave an exasperated sigh. It looks like someone was way too eager. "Ugh, I don't think my pidgeot is going to give you much of a choice on that.

Mina smiled when she saw another come up to the stadium, waving her hand eagerly. She was grateful that she hadn't had to wait too long, and was about to respond with an affirmative before the trainer's Pidgeot began the battle. Had she not been used to such behavior, she might have been startled but, unfortunately, she was.
"That's okay... I don't think my Marowak is, either," she said with a laugh.
Rohe, upon seeing opponent approach and begin the battle, wasted no time, even if it meant she had to ignore her own trainer for the time being. With a sharp "Maro!" she used Swords Dance, mirroring the other and raising her attack energy.

"Well Prince, looks like you have a good match then," she mentioned to her pidgeot offhandedly. So far, both pokemon seem to be waiting to maek their larger moves, but she felt that she should attack NOW. She didn't want that Marowak to power up any more than it already has.
"Air Cutter," the trainer commanded firmly, making her tone one that Prince could not ignore.
The bird grudgingly obeyed. Even though his trainer was a bit silly, she did have some battle sense. The pidgeot let loose yet another barage of wind from its wings, but this time, the wind was much more sharp and compressed.

Now that the battle had really begun, Mina knew Rohe would listen to her. She eyed the jutting rocks, the drifting sand, winced when Rohe was hit, then called, "Stone Edge!"
Rohe cried out when the attack reached her, thrown back by the brunt of it. She had not expected such a powerful gust of air, and when she recovered, she regarded the other with a colder air, no longer just seeing the Pidgeot as just another battle. He was powerful, and she would have to tread carefully.
When Mina spoke, she quickly did as requested, her body glowing with white energy that broke off and turned to stone that flew towards the enemy.

In his smug confidence after seeing Rohe get hit quite hard by his attack, Prince failed to fully dodge the stone edge and his wings got punished quite mercilessly. The brid let out an indignant squawk and Luna winced.
"Ready to stop being such a pompous brat now Prince?" Luna asked her Pidgeot with a knowing tone. It wasn't long until a "Geo!" of confirmation reached her ears, just like she knew it would. Prince didn't get serious until the first hit landed - and this one landed quite hard.
"Okay Prince, let's try to keep some distance and continue to use range, air cutter!"
And once again, from those powerful wings, a storm of strong and sharp winds was sent towards Rohe.

"Behind you!" Mina suddenly called when the Pidgeot attacked again, the outburst almost random if one hadn't seen the protruding pillar of stone behind the Marowak.
Rohe's ears twitched when she heard the command, looking towards her opponent with worry. She didn't want to turn away against such a strong Pidgeot, but she trusted her trainer now, and she was glad she did, for she ran behind the rock as soon as she saw it, and just in the nick of time, too. The furious slices of air broke rock instead of her, and once it had settled, she retaliated with another Stone Edge.

Luna winced as Prince was knocked backwards by yet another flying rock. That hurt. Quite a bit. They were in a bad situation - if they didn't do anything fast, they would have to take a loss after just two more attacks. Prince was strong, but he had a weakness against rock types and Luna acknowledged that.
They couldn't keep going with this with brute force. "Change of tactics Prince, use swagger!"
The Pidgeot began his decent onto a rock, then began to make odd fluid motions with its body. It even turned around and wagged some tailfeathers at Rohe.

Mina winced when she saw how much damage the two were doing to one another. The battle would be decided quickly at this rate and, if so, they would have to deal as much damage as possible.
"Stone edge, again!"
Rohe couldn't help but to watch the Pidgeot as it moved, its movements surprisingly... irritable. She felt her anger rising the longer she watched, to the point where she was practically blinded by it, and she began attacking again without hesitation.
