Whooo, I am the first to have a question! I r teh stoopidz!
So, my question does not yet involve a battle, though I am certain that if I wait long enough, I'll want to ask anyways.
Say, for example, I have my rattata, Gangrel. Ages past, back in my childhood days of Red and Blue, Swift was a TM move. TM 39, to be precise. And my rattata in that game learned it. It was slightly more awesome then, but I digress. The point I attempt to make was that Gangrel, my rattata, was able to use Swift, but after generation II, Swift was no longer a TM, and thus unteachable to my rattata. Is my rattata able to use Swift, or no?
EDIT: Turns out Swift became a tutor move in Emerald. My bad. So replace Swift with Bubblebeam for the same idea. x3

If what I understand did not change, then you can still use Swift as long as there is some proof that your pokemon can learned that move at one point.
And to get a quicker response, you might want to quote the mule.

Apparently I should only battle at night! Suddenly calculating got very confusing! DX BattleI think Ryuu needs to take another 100 off of Leto's HP since I have +50 attack and Leto has -50 defense. But my real question is since ryuu rolled a 5, its 100 base damage + 50 type advantage (Fighting is super effective against Dark types according to the chart)... is it also +100 since I have -100 defense? Making it 250 damage total?

Bluedemonwolf Apparently I should only battle at night! Suddenly calculating got very confusing! DX BattleI think Ryuu needs to take another 100 off of Leto's HP since I have +50 attack and Leto has -50 defense. But my real question is since ryuu rolled a 5, its 100 base damage + 50 type advantage (Fighting is super effective against Dark types according to the chart)... is it also +100 since I have -100 defense? Making it 250 damage total? Yes, your last attack should have done 200 damage And yup, that calculation is correct ovo

Zakiax Question. for our Battle Dig is a ground move and ground doesn't effect flying types. Blue rolled a 5 does it do zero damage or 100 damage? I want to make sure I'm thinking this through right before going with my next post. 0 damage xD

Question! Screech is supposed to lower defense by two stages. Does that mean it would be - 100 defense?

Ryuukishin I don't think it'll matter now for this battle, but:
I was under the assumption that STAB didn't apply in battles here? It was used on me, though, so I'd like to make sure. P: STAB doesn't exist, I didn't want to explode everyone's brains even more ovo;;

THE Jehan Question! Screech is supposed to lower defense by two stages. Does that mean it would be - 100 defense? Read the attack dex, it only lowers one stage 3nodding

For this battle, I just wanted to check my calculations following Ane's VENOSHOCK attack. (The one that hit.) Joltik was poisoned, which bumped the base damage up to 150. So that would mean the crit hit would be 300, yes? Plus the 150 for the third-round of poison, so a total of 450?
