Who?: Xii & Kon Where?: Siren's Shore
Xii was sitting on the sand, his feet slightly buried from the sand that washed to shore along with the waves. Everything around him was casted in a gentle, orange glow from the setting sun. He hated being dirty; Being a royalty should be as clean and presentable as possible, not like the peasants. However, the beach was a different story, he didn't mind the sand sticking to his kimono or the water getting onto his feet. Xii could feel some kind of connection with the vast body of water but he couldn't put his finger upon what he felt was special. He had tried asking his guardian why he had felt that way but she was a stubborn mule, refusing to tell him what. All that she mention was that while walking by the beach one day, she found him lying there in the sand and felt pity for him so she decided to take him home.
"Yeah right ..." he thought out loud. Her story felt more like a fairytale more than reality. Still, the view in front of him was of much more importance right now and his eyes was glued to the setting sun.
In the current setting Xii was in, everything was hypnotic. The orange glow was oh so comfortable to his eyes. The gentle waves crashing onto his feet felt like it was saying to him that everything was going to be alright. It was like a mother comforting her child. Even the gentle breeze that was blowing across the beach felt like someone that beside him, giving him a hug of some sort. His body couldn't take it, his eyes got heavy and somehow, he began to lie down onto the sand. His kimono clutched tightly in his hands, his body curled up. It wasn't long till he was in dreamland.

The sun was setting, nearly three quarters of the way down now, and that meant the stars would come out soon, the procession for the real star of the night, the moon. Konstantin wasn't particularly nocturnal; he could go long stretches during the day or at night, but it probably wasn't a surprise that he much preferred the night time hours to any other for the moon, if no other reason. That was why he wanted to spend this night outside, for as much as possible.
Alfons didn't know he was gone, actually; he had been holed up in the cellar while Alfons was doing some work he hadn't finished at his job. He still didn't really understand what he did, but apparently he would go somewhere early in the morning, come back, and there would be "money" which was a good thing, he guessed. It seemed to make Alfons content, at least; not quite happy, but content. Either way, Alfons was distracted and it was nearing sunset so Kon decided to step out. They lived very close to the shore so it was just a quick jaunt and no one seemed to be out today, at least around there. Various market sounds were heard in the distance, but it was quiet around this area, which was soothing.
Black ears nearly hidden by an equally black mat of hair twitched, swaying slightly in time to the waves as the dark skinned child approached. Black paws dug into the sand as he made his way down from the street, the sand feeling uneasy beneath his pads at first but he steadied quickly, tail swishing excitedly to and fro. The beach, though currently abandoned, seemed so alive, especially with its current set of colors. It would seem even more so in the dark cover of night with the moon's white light the only thing reflecting upon its surface, the rest an inky black and starless sky upon the earth.
Oddly poetic for such a simple minded pup.
Speaking of, the werewolf Dust's eyes spotted a sort of lump a few yards away in the sand. At his current distance, it looked like it could be a log or a large rock, and either would be interesting, especially if it were a log and it turned out to be hollow. Curiosity piqued, the boy trotted over, interest only rising when the smell of the ocean got even stronger, some how. He stopped short of it, staring down at the figure; this was not a log or a rock at all, but it was some sort of fish child. It certainly smelled like fish, anyway. Crouching down, Kon leaned in slightly to sniff, and there was no smell that overtook the scent of fish, and it was definitely coming from this child. He wasn't moving and with how the light was hitting him, Kon wasn't even sure if he was breathing.
Grinding his teeth in momentary thought, an instinct kicked in. Much like the cellar and the house, this beach was his. No one else was on it, and it was so near the house that yes, there was no mistaking it, this beach was his and his alone and this child, alive or dead, fish or whatever, was trespassing. Taking a step back, he began undoing his trousers and what occurred next would just be too embarrassing to detail in text, though it should be known that Kon promptly began to mark his territory, leaving a wet and strong smelling streak in the side right near Xii before righting his lower articles and no longer exposing himself.

Xii had heard some sound that came from behind him, the sound of sand moving below something but he dismissed it as birds coming in for a quick snack or something. He should have known better, he should have gave it a look. That would probably prepare him better for what's to come.
Though his eyes were glued to the setting sun before him, he kept his ears open. The sound of the waves crashing into the sand, the sound of birds squawking in the air and the sound of something moving behind him got louder. Something his mind clicked, the sound began sounding less and less like a bird and more of something heavy. His head turned, his hair danced in the gentle sea breeze. What he say was shocking to say the least.
It was a boy, or at least he looked somewhat like a boy. It had a mass of black hair on his head almost like a mane, his ears covered in the same black fur. Heck! To Xii, it was only the shape of the boy that prevented him from guessing the other person was a dog of some sort. As he kept on looking, he could feel the other person's gaze burning some kind of hate into him. His face distorted, giving a gasp as the person began to took of his pants and started peeing. ON HIS BEACH. He stood up but was nearly knocked down when the musky smell invaded his sensitive nostrils. The smell was almost burning and he hated it. Tears filled his eyes, his pride preventing them from falling as he marched on towards the other person, the sleeves acting as a shield for his nose.
"WHO ARE YOU" he screamed once he was near. His other hand was busy pulling onto his kimono, preventing it from getting stained by the boy's ... discharge. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO MY BEACH" he continued, his mind filled of rage. The other person had defiled his sanctuary and Xii wasn't about to let it slip by.

As he pulled his torn up blue trousers to their proper position and fastened them like he was taught, movement caught his eye.
Kon's ears twitched and his face scrunched up unpleasantly as he turned to look at the approaching fish boy whom he had assumed was dead since he smelled like it so much. It was hard to understand him while he was yelling, but it was obvious he was angry. Maybe he had marked over this kid's marked territory? Did fish even mark their territory? He didn't know but it didn't matter, he was taking a tone with him that he didn't like.
His lips upturned to reveal sharp fangs, still small due to his age but nonetheless able to rend flesh. A low growl emitted from his throat and as soon as the boy stopped yelling he snapped his jaws at him, taking a defensive stance.
"Your?" he repeated, growl still lining his words, "No smell like your! Just fishy! Stinky fish boy trying fight?" Kon wouldn't mind a tussle. He hadn't actually been in one before, but he wouldn't mind one. Instincts would likely take over, and if he lost he lost and he would go home with his tail between his legs and lick his wounds. This kid didn't seem like he would hold up well against physical violence, though. His clothes were so... pretty.
And pretty meant girly and weak.
Narrowing his bi-colored eyes, he took a step forward with clenched fists, holding what he perceived as his ground. It belonged to him and his Alpha, and though the two were all it had right now, it belonged to his pack whenever it properly formed and he knew it would deep down. His tail swished agitatedly, black paws digging into the sand. Whatever this fish boy threw at him, he could take.

Xii's non-existent feathers were ruffled when the rough, shaggy looking boy snapped at him. Are those fangs?!, his mind wondered for a split second before it wandered off, up and down the boy and what was around them. Xii definitely wasn't expecting his opponent to stand up to him, considering the fact he was often treating like royalty and always getting what he wants, with a little whining nonetheless. But this, this was so different and it made the fish boy uncomfortable.
What snapped Xii out of his temporary state of panic and shock was a single comment made by the boy. That uncouth, rowdy...ruffian had the audacity to call him smelly?! Any proper young men, especially one of his own caliber would not stand for such words.
"Excuse me?!" he snapped, his hands were at his waist and his back arching so ever slightly, in hopes of making himself look a little bigger. (With his unique ... scent, he had seen his fair share of fights between strays cats in hopes of winning over ... him) "You called me stinky?!" he paused, taking in a deep breath before continuing "I'm stinky? Says the boy who just peed in the open and... And smells like a dirty stray. You...you furry thing!!!" he huffed and puffed at the end. He gave himself a mental slap for the stuttering but it wasn't his fault the English language decided to abandon him at that point in time.
Xii wasn't so keen when the other boy suggested a fight, he could probably smell how bad of a fighter Xii was. But, he realized (though it did took him awhile) he was at the beach, which was next to the sea, one of the largest body of water in the world. His confidence suddenly came back to him upon that realization.
His boy began the relaxed, his hands left his waist and was brought to his side. Xii slowly raised them up into the air and in the background, a ball of water could be seen rising from the waves. He had done this before in a smaller scale and in his bathtub but this wouldn't be much different, right?
The ball slowly made it's way to his side, trembling as though threatening to burst at any moment. Sweat rolled down the side of Xii's face, it was a lot more taxing than he imagined. When the ball finally reaches his side, he shot his hands out towards the pup and gave a shrill scream. Mild disappointment could be read from Xii's face as the ball bursts towards the pup as a harmless splash instead of a powerful shot. Still, he had made the first move and it felt great!
However, he was definitely unaware of what was to come.

Though the pup wouldn't admit to it now that their confrontation was underway, the strong scent that surrounded the Mermaid Dust was one Konstantin found to be oddly pleasant. It was strong, to be sure, and the scent of fish was not one many would claim to enjoy, but it was also coupled with the scent of the sea. In his own words, Xii's scent would be a 'good stink' but now was not the time for explanations and elaborations.
The fish boy had called him a dirty stray. He had some bite.
If Konstantin had been covered in fur it would have ruffled. Instead, his tail puffed in an equal attempt to make himself look bigger and more intimidating to the other child. It was easy for Kon, as he had the build of a lanky twelve year old and would likely hover just a few inches over most of the other Dust children, if not more, and so he rebuked Xii's attempts at intimidation with a fanged grin. His eyes narrowed and his pawed feet dug their claws into the earth, feeling the rocky sand between his pads. He felt a little unstable on this terrain, compared to grass, but it was sturdy enough with the rocks below.
Taking a stance, he watched the other boy move both hands to his side, and then in the air. At first he wasn't sure what he was doing -- some weird power up exercise? -- but out of the corner of his eye Kon took notice of the water beginning to move strangely, rippling and rising and the wolf-like ears at the side of his head dropped slightly. He only had a few seconds to brace for a strong, concussive force of water and he clenched his eyes and fists shut. When the water hit him he stumbled, but his eyes opened wide and he seemed thoroughly confused.
All of that build up, and it was just a minor splash?
He glanced down at his hands, soaked, his hair and skin all drenched, as well as the torn up pants Alfons forced him to wear, as well as the sand beneath him. While wet, it almost seemed more sturdy than the loose and grainy dry sand. That, however, was not what was at the forefront of his mind. Despite the weak attempt, the other boy had attacked. He had initiated a fight, just as he had thought, and after a few more seconds of staring flabbergasted at the other Dust... he charged.
Not a sound or motion of warning, Kon's fists clenched and his paws dug into the sand as he propelled himself forward. His hands wrapped around Xii's shoulders and he hurdled, pushing the fish boy to the ground and landing roughly on his ribs with his legs on either side of him. His bright eyes gleamed against the darkness that surrounded him as he leaned down and growled, baring his teeth.
It was time for a scuffle, a battle for territory and dominance, and Kon's first ever attempt at asserting it over someone.

Xii's happiness was short lived when he noticed the changed of posture, his face distorted to a combination of horror and disgust. The other kid, after being drenched in sea water smelled a lot like a wet dog and it wasn't a pleasant smell, not to him anyway. Also, all his life Xii got what he wanted and this kid was the first to fight back and he was taken aback. Goosebumps crawled across the surface of his skin as he braced himself for impact. His eyes closed shut, his muscles froze and he just stood there.
The warmth of the other's hands on his shoulder was registered, but it wasn't a comforting feeling, it was far from that. As though time was slowed down for Xii as the weight of the other kid was pushing down on him, it felt like forever before he finally hit the sand. Pain shot up his spine and wind was knocked out of him when the kid landed on his chest too.
"THAT HURT, YOU MANGY MUTT!!" he screeched with whatever strength he could master.
Xii was definitely frightened, hell, who wouldn't with a angry ... dog baring it's teeth, staring right in their faces but he was more angry. The mutt had caused injury to him and probably scratched up his kimono, his precious kimono. Xii was not the kind to take something like this lying down, metaphorically speaking.
However, he knew his limit. He's a whiner, not a fighter and being out of the water, well, he was almost like a real fish out of the sea. He had to get closer to his elements but with something heavy on his chest, it wasn't going to be easy. Xii stared at the face in front of him, his mind clicking away at what could be used to get out. Then it struck him, his hands and legs were still free.
Xii started to retaliate, kneeing the boy in the back and attempting to scratch his opponent.

There was a delay in between his actions and his opponent's response. The wind was knocked out of the fish boy and it left him feeling smug. However, it was not a victory and the feeling of success was incredibly short lived.
"THAT HURT, YOU MANGY MUTT!!"
Kon balked, leaning back with his teeth still bared, mid-growl with his brows quirked in confusion. He looked so puny and girly. The kid was practically wearing a dress! How was it he had so much bite in him? It was strange to the wolf child, but it was a not unwelcome strangeness. Something about it almost made this entire situation worthwhile, like it would have been completely pointless to have picked a fight with someone who wouldn't fight back.
The thought, however brief, made Kon's chest swell with pride and a look of grim satisfaction cross his face... right before his own wind was knocked out from a knee hitting him sharply in the back. It was pure luck Xii had missed his spine, but the hit had come very close and the werewolf Dust couldn't hold back the quick and shrill yelp that escaped his throat before it nearly closed and he fell to the side, clawing at his own back while giving tiny gasps. His paws curled up and stretched, digging and kicking into the rocks and sand.
He was thoroughly unprepared for what came next. Sharp nails not unlike his own came whirling at his face and chest, scratching his dark skin. Finally his lungs filled, the harsh sensation of near suffocation lifting, and Konstantin let out a wretched shriek of a roar in response. His jaws snapped at his foe's hands, narrowly missing his slender webbed fingers. With each swift attempt at clamping his fangs around the fish child's hands, his growls and snarls became more ferocious... but they still lacked that forcefully intimidating depth that a fully grown wolf might carry.
His strength back, Konstantin moved, positioning himself on all fours and attempting to keep that fierce growl up. His tail was bushed and even the hair on his head looked more mangy, like it was trying to make himself look bigger and more imposing. Through it all, though, even the tiny blood drops lifting to the surface of the welts his opponent's nails left on his flesh, he had to admit...
...this was kind of fun.
