There once was a buck who had a beautiful daughter. one day he had to talk the local legendary. the buck was a boastful Kimeti and foolishly told the legendary that his daughter could twist grass into gold. the legendary told the buck to bring his daughter to him. the legendary brought the doe to a meadow completely cut off from the rest of the swamp. he told her to twist all of the grass in the meadow into gold or she would be killed. the legendary left the doe alone in the meadow.
The doe collapsed into tears wondering how she could twist grass into gold when a little green Kimeti appeared. "why are you crying dearie?" he asked. "the legendary is expecting me to twist all of the grass into gold." the little green Kimeti grinned and asked, "what will you give me?" the doe looked up at him wearily before answering. "I will give you my spots. "Done." he chuckled, and once he had her spots, he began to twist the grass.
Twist, twist, twist, went the Kimeti and a square foot of grass was twisted into gold. He repeated this all through the night until the meadow was filled with the soft glow of gold and the light of a new day.
The legendary came back and was amazed to find the meadow filled with gold. His greedy heart swelled. Later that day, the legendary led the doe into a bigger meadow and told her to twist all of the grass into gold or else she would be killed.
Once again, the doe collapsed into tears, and once again, the little green Kimeti appeared in the meadow. "Now why are you crying dearie?"
"the legendary expects me to twist all of this grass into gold by morning or I will be killed."
"What will you give me?" the green Kimeti asked.
"I will give you my mask."
"Done." he chuckled, and once he had her mask, he began to twist the grass.
Twist, twist, twist, went the Kimeti and a square foot of grass was twisted into gold. He repeated this all through the night until the meadow was filled with the soft glow of gold and the light of a new day.
The legendary came back and was awe-struck, finding the meadow filled with gold. But this was not enough to meet his greedy wishes. Later that day, the legendary led the doe into an even bigger meadowland told her to twist all of the grass into gold or else she will be killed.
Once again, the doe collapsed into tears, and once again, the little green Kimeti appeared in the meadow. "Now why are you crying dearie?"
"the legendary expects me to twist all of this grass into gold by morning or I will be killed."
"What will you give me?" the green Kimeti asked. The dow returned his gaze sadly. "I have nothing left to give." she sighed. The little green Kimeti thought for a minute before speaking. "Make me a deal. If you ever become the legendary's life partner, you will give me your first born." The doe knew that there was no way she would be the legendary's life partner, so she agreed.
Twist, twist, twist, went the Kimeti and a square foot of grass was twisted into gold. He repeated this all through the night until the meadow was filled with the soft glow of gold and the light of a new day.
The legendary came back and was astounded by the amount of gold she had twisted last night. He thought to himself, 'if I make this doe my life partner, I will be the wealthiest Kimeti in the land.' the legendary took the doe to his territory and made her his life partner.

One year later, the doe had a foal. She and the legendary were very happy. The doe had forgotten all about the deal she made with the little green Kimeti. One morning the little green Kimeti appeared in their home and demanded the foal be given to him. The doe offered him all of the riches they had, but the green Kimeti's only reply was that something alive was more precious than any amount of riches. The doe cried and cried, and the green Kimeti took pity on her. "I will give you three days time to guess my name. If you fail, the foal is mine."
the first day the doe sent out an inquirer to search far and wide for his name. In the meantime, she guessed all of the names she knew. But, to her disappointment, the reply to all of them was the same; "that is not my name."
the second day, she guessed more exotic and unusual names. But, to her disappointment, the reply to all of them was the same; "that is not my name."
On the third and final day, the inquirer returned. "I have searched far and wide but I have not found his name. But last night, where the hawk and the mouse bid each other goodnight, there was a little cave, and by the little cave was a little fire, and prancing around the fire was a little green Kimeti. He was singing,
"Everyone thinks I'm a fairy tale,
This proves I'll get that foal without fail!
From that doe, I will prevail,
She'll never guess my name's Slime Scale!"
The doe danced around because she was certain that that was his name. Later that day, the little green Kimeti returned, a smug smile spread across his face. The doe decided to toy with him.
"Is your name...Joining Lands?"
"No, guess again!" he chuckled.
"Is your name...Darkest Shadow?"
"No, guess again!" he laughed.
"Is your name...Slime Scale?"
The little green Kimeti scowled. "A demon told you that! A sly, medaling demon!" Slime Scale was so frustrated, he stomped his right hoof deep into the ground. Trying to get his hoof out of the earth, he pushed so hard with his left hoof that he split himself in two and vanished. The doe and the legendary raised their foal into a handsome, strong buck, and lived happily ever after.
