 It had been a trying day for Laelia, and now it was her time to sit back and relax--or shiver. Brrrr, was it cold out! She thought to herself as her body wiggled around to produce some warmth. It seemed the fall weather was fastly becoming wintery in climate, soon the white stuff would be falling from the heavens. It was that thought that made a smile spread across her face, even though it was sometimes unbearable to survive in it really was such a pretty thing to watch. But in all honesty warmer weather was her favourite and she much prefered to sunbath then hide out in a cave to block out the winter winds.
Brown eyes scanned her surroundings for the moment looking for something to do. The rogue lands were bare, lacking in its usual greeny and Laelia frowned as she thought of what could happen if she didn't find shelter as well as food soon.

The weather was changing, Zuri had noticed this most when her pelt began to change, the region was certainly different than what she had normally called home. She had wandered a little to far for what she was interested in. A shiver coursed through her body, muscles tweaking and twitching unpleasantly.
"Where have I taken myself.." She pondered quickly.
It was then her eye's began tracking for a new place to bunk down in case of emergency, she had heard of this kind of weather, it's kill or be killed as far as she could tell from the stories. It was secured in her mind that no other could be crazy enough to be out here on his or her own. She felt out of luck, but strived for that place to stay and perhaps a meal.

Quietly sneezing Laelia sigh and shook her head. " I hope I am not getting sick ontop of everything else." She wrinkled her nose at the thought, she was not pretty when snot and gosh knows what else came out of her. She looked off in the distance for a moment just to enjoy the scenery before turning around and head home. A feather light touch broke Laelia of her thoughts making her look cross eyed to see what was touching her.
" Oh," She spoke mostly with a mix of delight and apprehension. Winter was coming earlier than usual. A sound off to the left made Laelia turn her head towards it. Another lion... well lioness stood a few feet away. She had a lovely lilac pelt with a mixture of white. " Hello" She spoke out cautiously with a little bit of a waver, it really was getting colder..

Zuri had wound herself down a path that seemed to be an active route of sorts. She was still a bit nervous about this area, it was getting colder as she thought about how cold it was just moments prior. Pausing briefly she looked ahead then down, heaving a soft breath she spotted something moving around her jaws. It looked like she was creating swirls of fog of her own accord, bewildered she took it upon herself to breath in deep, this was ofcourse a mistake where she emerged coughing.
"Not a friendly place to be excited." She grumbled softly to herself, or so she thought. It was just then that two major things happened, first of all something fell from the sky. Her eye's traced it's where abouts to... no where. Then another one, and another. It was cold and tickled her nose, causing her to blink. It was during one of these quick blinks where she spotted a female that seemingly appeared from no where herself. Or had she been there all along?
Not completely sure Zuri simply stared, it was rude, she knew this ofcourse, but just couldn't help herself. The female looked serene, happy, relaxed and comfortable in the seasonal changes occurring around her, surely she was from these parts or atleast traveled here often. It was a brief few seconds before the other noticed herself and spoke a cautious greeting. Zuri broke into a gracious grin and stepped forward, offering that she was a kind individual and not be worried about. Something about the brown female had acted before instilled comfort.
"Hello." She said in return, her smile continued, clear and sharp, unwavering. "My name is Zuri`zola, are you from these parts?" She asked hopefully.

Laelia continued to watch the other female watch her waiting for a response. She looked like a happy sort full of niceness about her and the smile was lovely. "Yes, yes I am. Are you lost?" She spoke in a lower-deeper tone like she always did. " Not a good time to be lost if you are the weather looks like it is going to get worse for the rest of the day. It is nice to meet you Zuri'zola." She sounded out her name slowly unfamiliar with it and continued on. "I am Laelia, you can call me that or Lae if you like as I answer to both."
Shivering slightly she peered at the other seriously before deciding it was okay Laelia moved closer to Zuri. " Come follow me if you want. I have a cave near by and we can settle there for the day, I don't think this is going to last for weeks. More like a day or two."

It seemed the true formalities and need for patience was passed, the few trials of caution had ended quickly, Zuri was certainly pleased with this, because in their few minute conversation it had gotten worse outside. The weather was changing way to quickly for her tastes and she winced sharply as a snow flake chose to land in her eye, she growled softly then laughed. "I'm glad I've met someone of this area, as you can see... I am not very good here. I can guarantee your words when you say it's not a good time to be lost. Atleast I can share my first experience of this with someone who knows these parts." She laughed at how her luck had bloomed in the mere months passed.
"As formal as it sounds, I think your full name is very beautiful, Laelia..." She said this softly to herself, memories of her female significant other flowed into her mind slowly then dripped free. "You have a home here?" Zuri was shocked, her nose twitches lightly as the sky continued to seemingly fall and she smiled again. "You're brave for sure, my pelt was not prepared for these weathers, I'm more fond of the warmer climate from where I'm from. But these flakes... they are very beautiful only in these small quantities."
She assumed that if it went for weeks, it could probably only get worse from here. "Weeks! My if I were on my own I'd be in dreadful danger." She stated bluntly, a laugh trickled from the statement and the offer stood. She thought briefly, not completely wanting to intrude on her, but for her own safety she knew it was probably best. "I would greatly appreciate it if you don't mind me staying with you of course?" She smiled again.

Laelia found the other females laugh infections and answered it with her own. " Though it may look pretty to watch I wouldn't want to be stuck out in this bitter chill. Come this way please." She began to move her way towards home and listened as the other spoke. "Thank you, my mother was the one to gift me such a name. Yes I do, it is not always like this. Thank goodness. But you came at a rough time, my home is located in a cave further up from our current location." She gave a startled snort as a snowflake flew up her nose and she laughed as she shook her head.
" Yes, it can last for weeks and months depending. It's not so bad now. Of course, of course." She used her paw as if say follow me. " My home should give us the warm we need and I believe I have some food hidden away to munch on."

 Daktari had been ambling along minding his own business lost in thoughts of what he wanted to do for the day. His morning hadn't been too busy and he had had a great time playing in the snow patch just outside his current dwelling... though it had caused him to sneeze quite a bit, it had been worth it. The thought of catching a cold never occurred to him at the time and even know it didn't. Daktari lived for the present and rather thought of the future problems.
He was just roundiing the corner when he heard a female voice from up ahead and decided to check it out. Not only for the company but possibly for some shelter to dry his semi-wet fur. "Hello there, I know... it seems rather strange but can I join you?" He blinked cutely at the two females before him. There wasn't an evil bone in his bone but the females didn't know that.

Laelia eyed the speckled multicoloured male before her with a wariness and pity. He did look awfully wet and he was shivered where he stood. "It seems like you could use a bit of warmth." She found her motherly instincts kicking in, it didn't matter that he was in all appearances a grown male. He looked awfully sad. "Right, I suppose against my better judgement I will take you in as well. Come follow me, where we can all gather a bit of warmth together and ride out the approaching snow storm." Sometimes you just had to whether together when it came to mother nature.

'Cool' Daktari thought with gratefullness. "Thanks, not many would welcome a strange into their home." Not looking a gift horse in the mouth he stood up and began to move in step slowly behind the brown female shivering all the way. It wasn't long before they made it to the brown females home which shortly followed by the brown female somehow getting a fire going and the heat surrounded the cave.
"Oh this is nice..." He sighed out when the heat of the cave melted the ice chips that were currently forming on his fur. Hopefully the storm wouldn't last too long as he didn't want to take up much of the females time. Before he knew the hours of the comforting atmosphere of females chattering and the warmth caused his eyes to droop. "A nap before I leave I think."
When he awoke the next morning with a stretch he moved towards the entrance and saw that the had stopped. "I want to thank you for taking me in. I won't forget such a kindness." He bowed to both sleepy females. "But know I must take my leave y'all~ Bye!" He grinned cheekily before wandering away.
