History:
Falkjir isn't very sure who his parents were. Or, rather, he knows who they were but not what they were beyond the fact they were Searchers in Anceientcraft. As a small child he spent most of his time with one of his Uncles who he became very close to.
His first real friend was a crimson flit owned by his uncle. He grew very attached and began to really dream about having a bond like that of his own, or one even stronger like the one between a rider and his dragon
He was often alone as a child, his shy and quiet nature making it hard for him to interact with other children, thus strengthening his desire for a friend who couldn't judge him, like a flit
When he was 10 his uncle began to train him in Ancientcrafting, as was the tradition in their family. His uncle and both of his parents had been active in anceintcraft
Description:
Hes got black hair, Brown eyes. Hes white and his a large scar down the right side of his face. Just missing his eye. He is 5'10 and is quite fit from exploring. His build is large but not fat. Hes got a berrel chest and wide shoulders.
Personality:
He's humble and thinks that other people should be as well, so it annoys him when people boast and brag. If he sees someone trying to make themselves look better than someone else without any real basis, he can't help but let them know that it ticks him off.
Being a quite guy you would only hear from him in a group if the situation called for him to speak out, like if he saw something bad was going to happen and no one else noticed. Hes Loyal enough to know a good friend but if his trust is lost then one must work hard to regain it. His work ethic is fairly good, like all teenagers he does procrastinate. Hes afraid of never impressing a dragon most of all. His Uncle is a Dragonrider and he idolizes him for it.
He spends his free time doing what he loves most, spending hours on end watching the riders care for their dragons or searching through old texts hoping to discover hints to lost technology. He often spends time writing down anything from his findings to simply his thoughts and feelings at that moment in time.
He still hasn't grown out of the quiet and shy personality of his youth, but he is trying to make headway in his abilities to socialize
He still feels awkward around others, making it hard for him to start conversations or be a leader, but it makes him a great listener and friend to confide in. He takes the time to think everything through. Including all possible outcomes or consequences that could result from a desicion.
Other fears he has is of spiders and really large insects. He deals with stress and fear much more differently then alot of people. Sometimes he hits trees and walls. Other times he just crys, which is much more common with fear then stress. He is both an Optimist and Pecimist, this souly depends on the situation. He gets deperessed easily which can hurt him in a group. He has a habit of bottling all of his feelings and thoughts to himself. He doesn't want to bother anyone else with his own troubles. It's bad enough he has to worry about it, why bring anyone else down with him? Around his friends he's a bit more open, but still reserved, only sharing what he feels is absolutley nesseccary.
He does have a stubborn and inflexible streak to him. Once he's set his mind to something, he's unwilling to give up on it, or even change how he goes about it, even if it means failing over and over again. He can also be very indifferent about the things going on around him, like gossip, rumors or politics. As far as he's concerend the only things that surround or directly affect him. If it doesn't affect him, it doesn't matter to him
Other:
He hates onions; the taste is what turns him off the most.

In order to know Falkjir well enough to match him to a dragon and for him to fit in the world we're going to need to know more about him and tweak some things, I'll try to give you some possible points to think about!
History
- I'm not sure what you mean by him being a Searcher; it's not one of the standard craft. Can you tell me what you mean by it so we can see if we can fit it into our canon?
- Can I assume he was born at the Weyr as he has been standing for clutches since he was old enough? If so can you please specify this, and if not tell me when he arrived at the Weyr?
- What was his family like? Why was his uncle's firelizard his first friend? Did he not get on with other kids?
- How does he feel about not having Impressed yet? Does he really care to be a dragonrider or is he happy with where his life is going?
Appearance
- Can you tell me how tall he is and what his build is like?
- Having a scar on his face is fine, but if it affects his vision he wouldn't be able to be a candidate; any kind of physical disability bars you from standing for clutches.
Personality
- What does he act like in a group? Loud or quiet? Dominant or submissive? Does it depend on who else is there, as in if they're older/same age/younger, male/female, from a similar background to him/from a different background?
- Can you tell me more about his being humble? Does he deflect praise for things he's done? Does he accept it when it comes, but doesn't seek it out and doesn't brag?
- What strong beliefs does he hold that he's outspoken about? When else does he feel the need to be outspoken?
- His violence would have got him into trouble over the years, especially just for going off at people who are bragging; how does he react to the punishment he will have received? Also, if he is humble why does it bother him when people make themselves seem better than he is?
- How does he deal with authority in general? Is he respectful and happy to take orders? Does he take orders only because he has to, but would really like to be the one giving them? Does he talk back? Is he outright rebellious?
- What is he afraid of?
- How does he deal with fear and stress?
- What's his work ethic like? Workaholic? Lazy? Somewhere in between? If he takes his work ethic to either extreme, how does this affect him and his relationships etc? In the same vein is he reliable and responsible or not?
- What flaws does he have? What is there about him that people could dislike him for? We're not currently accepting short tempers/hot tempers as flaws as we had so many characters using that as a fault.
- What does he enjoy doing in his free time?
- Is he a considered, careful person or is he rash?
- What's he like with his friends? Is he overtly affectionate or more reserved? How loyal is he? How hard is it to break his trust, and if broken can it be regained?
- Is he an optimist or a pessimist?
Those are just some things to think about, you can add anything else you think of to his personality as well. Have a look at some of the approved profiles for inspiration on what to put in, and to see what sort of length they generally are.

Hia We still need more detail both on the history and the personality before we can approve I'm afraid. I'll try to give you some more pointers, but you can also draw ideas from looking at other profiles. History- It'll be easier for me to understand if you write this in chronological order. Start with what his early life with his parents was like; did they ever take him long searching with them when he was very little? Was he close to any other family members other than his uncle? Is the uncle his father's brother, or his mother's? Any more you can tell us about the uncle, did he not have a family of his own and was thus closer to the boy? - Did he spent any time in the Weyr crèche with the other Weyrbrats? Did he get picked on here because he was different in some way (why was he different?) or because he lived with his parents most of the time whilst they didn't? Was he educated (basic education, reading and writing) alongside the Weybrats, or did his parents do that? - Why haven't his parents come back six turns later? How has this affected him? Has his uncle been caring for him, or has he had to go into the crèche? - Weyrs don't have schools as such, groups of children of roughly the same age are educated by Harpers. He would however have been seeing people his age and older both born to the Weyr and Searched in specially Impressing so this bit just needs some slight rewording. Personality- I think there are still some points from the last post I made for you that you can explore, but if you're stumped you could have a look at this site for more ideas. - I still need to see at least one solid flaw in him; something an average person could dislike him for, or something that is unflattering. Thanks for the revision, here's my notes:
- I've just noted in his personality that his parents are both riders. It wouldn't be appropriate for riders to leave the Weyr as they have, riders have responsibilities to fulfil. It's fine for them to have a craft they're pursing as well, but they would have to be based at the Weyr. As they have dragons they could return home in moments every day to sleep and take part in drills, so there would be no reason for them to be gone for six years. You can either have them be riders, or have them be gone for six years but not both. His uncle may be a rider if he has remained at the Weyr, but of late he will have less time for training Falkjir as the Red Star is approaching, meaning the Thread will soon be back so all riders are stepping up drills.
Personality
- I still don't really see a flaw here, or very much more detail than last time. A couple of points you could still elaborate one perhaps:
- He's humble, but gets angry when people make themselves seem better than him. I don't understand this contrast, could you explain in more detail please?
- What does he enjoy doing in his free time?
- Is he a considered, careful person or is he rash?
- What's he like with his friends? Is he overtly affectionate or more reserved? When he gets depressed what happens, does he slink off by himself or bring the group mood down by talking about it?
- Why does he want to be a rider? Does he idolise his uncle (and his parents, if you're keeping them riders)? Does he want to protect Pern? Does he want the companionship? The ability to travel pretty much wherever he likes when he's off duty?
- Is he determined, or a quitter when the going gets rough?
- Does he try to do what's right, or does he do whatever benefits him the most?
- Is he a generous sort with time and resources?
- Is he interested in intellectual matters or do they bore him? What about physical activity, does he enjoy that?
- What does he think of his craft? Does it fascinate him or is he just trying to please his family by pursuing it?
- Does he get jealous of people easily, for say the people who have Impressed while he has been left standing?
- Is he realistic and down to earth, or more of a dreamer?
- Is he an honest sort or would he lie for his own advantage?
