The knock on Marcus's door came at ******** O'clock in the morning. It was actually less of a knock and more of a cheerful rapping, shave and a haircut style. Which was possibly better than angry pounding, but that depended on exactly who was on the other side, now didn't it?

If sleep could be found in the hunter dorms, it had ditched Marcus as somebody began to rap at his door. In a melody. At- grabbing his phone he squinted as the screen illuminated, then promptly groaned. Why was anyone pounding on his door this early? Did Cass forget something again in an excuse to sleep over?

Yawning as he sat up and shuffled over to the door. Rubbing his eyes he opened the door, not looking for a few seconds. "What is it?" He was nodding off a bit already.

A cloaked figure pushed their way Marcus, and looked around the room, "Ah..." began Dr. H, "...just a bit of a room check. Seeing if any lovely young ladies of a decidedly jailbait persuasion were camping out here, but it seems I am either too early or too late, hm?" A toothy grin glinted from beneath the hood, "I also have some work for you, Marcus. The builder of walls, the valiant protector of my precious princess of Life, Clarice. Really, I just hate to see her die...slowly. Oh I saw, I saw...very nice work, very determined effort. And really such, a great and wonderful-----ly wasteful use of time and materials. Really, I know your division leader is off...playing wherever, probably building some goddamned walls themselves, but a little restraint would have gone a long way. So now I have my personal minions off resupplying the moon course, and we're once again running low on supplies. Do you understand what I'm getting at? You overcompensating ********> You really should have stuck to beating on children for sparring practice."

It was... why?
There was no god.
There was no such thing as divine justice.
No kindness and mercy in this world.

There was just Dr. H, and way to ******** early for this bullshit o clock, bitching at him for doing the moon course. And insinuating that- "Cass left hours ago." She slept over maybe once a week. Just because your love affair with Caelius was sour didn't mean you should try to poke holes in others. Or something. Marcus was not trying to think too hard about that. And. Really? Bitching to him about making walls. That was the course. That was the challenge. You would never be pleased unless you were pulling the trigger and blasting a golem's brains out were you Dr. H? "If it makes you feel better sir, I keep dying painfully at the death hunter course. But I'll keep that in mind next time I build walls. Or get a golem that looks like Miss Clarice."

Sorry Clarice, Dr. H was far infinity scarier than the idea of you.

Another yawn as he mumbled under his breath. "You'd think you'd like the beating on a death hunter jesus-" In his Dis was telling him to just flat out punch the guy and go back to bed. Marcus thought while appealing, that it would be a horrible idea. "You said you had work for me?"

Marcus was going to try and ignore the call of his bed and the bitching. He was going to try really hard.

The doctor nodded thoughtfully, "Yes...it really does make me feel better to know the Deathsweeper game is running as it should. It's little silvery line of sunshine around my woeful day, that and docking your division's budget for supplies and...math tutoring. For you. And by math tutoring I mean I'm going to send you on a little errand over on the other side, where you will be asked to go buy specific amounts of specific items. Do you think that you can handle this? Good, get to the pod room in about five minutes, not twenty-two but five, and don't press your luck with me, Marcus. Your little Cass has been spending a rather alarming amount of time passed out in my Life Arena, so it really is in everyone's interest to keep me..." another grin, "smiling."

And with that he was out, likely to terrorize a few more trainees. Or possibly see if Cass was indeed unconscious in the Jenga room again.

If Dr. H listened closely as he left he would have heard a 'thunk'. The sound of a forehead hitting a door frame. Too early.
Should have punched him.
And now that started sounding appealing god damn- He had five minutes meaning get dressed and book it. Changing and grabbing his coat, Marcus was, for the most part, having no idea what Dr. H wanted him to get. What was he supposed to buy? Candy? A soul? A heaping pile of bullshit with a side of I don't give a ******** was going to be a long night..morning..day. Whatever. Arriving at the pod room, Marcus tried to look on the bright side. It wasn't some type of golem testing. "Dr. H?" He looked around for the life instructor. "I'm hear to run that errand for you." Was he on time? He hoped so because.... Yeah, H seemed the type to torment Cass because of him.

Actually he seemed the type to do that anyway.

Damn it.

On the door to the pod was a note:

Dr. H

Marcus,
I trust that, despite your counting skills, you are capable of reading instructions. You'll be going to Halloween to pick up a few items for the labs. You'll need to memorize the list provided below. In the area you spawn in, you'll find a metal box buried in the ground. This will contain silver seeds for you to pay with, and a key. Once you finish your shopping trip, go to 13881 Ye Olde Scallywag Dr, down near the docks, there is a storage lot located there. Our unit number is 719. Just leave the items there, and return to Deus in a secure location away from prying eyes. If this is too confusing for you, just come crying to me, and I'll most assuredly send someone else. Who is both attractive yet sadly underage.

Shopping List:
5 boxes of blank runestone (not 22)
5 boxes of pumpkin pills (not 22)
5 bottles of quality cider (not 22)
5 bags of FEAR candy (not 22)
5 Scareballs (not 22)
5 boxes of vile vials (not 22)
