Late night had fallen over Amityville turning the sky dark. It was semi cloudy out, only able to glance the full moon for short moments before it was mostly hidden again.

It was on this evening that Mitsu found herself walking next to Shun, their path through town taking them by the park on their way back to school. Despite the field trip that had happened fairly recently the lycan was able to smile, feeling at ease next to the reaper. Nightmares didn't seem to bother her as often, especially when she was around Shun and not alone in her room with nothing else to do or think about.

"Thank you for dinner." Her arm came up to wrap around Shun's, the scent of new leather hitting her nose from his jacket. It was an intriguing smell Mitsu came to realize though she didn't quite understand why.

Worrying thoughts and pressing matters such as training were as far as they could be from Mitsu's mind as Shun pulled her closer. She smiled leaning into his arm before her gaze turned skyward staring at the bright orb that had suddenly been uncovered from the clouds. Mitsu's eyes grew wide for a moment as if mesmerized by the sight. An urge hit her, her mouth opened slightly, but it immediately closed once again.

She was almost certain she had been caught in her act when Shun asked his question, her eyes finally tearing away from the moon that was now being covered again to look at the reaper. "I uh," She hesitated for a moment, feeling a little silly. "I...I do...but I don't usually......indulge?" That sounded like the right way to phrase it.

An embarrassed look crossed Mitsu's face as she looked away. If her demeanor was any indication it was simply because she was too shy to do so. Making a lot of noise was just something she didn't do and had been trained not to do. Howling was a pointless activity that only grated on the nerves, as Suto used to tell her.

"I just....I dunno I just don't," Mitsu shrugged finding it hard to explain.

The lycan's brows furrowed slightly as she remained silent, thinking. It wasn't that she didn't want to, the urge struck her, she saw the moon and wanted nothing more than to sing to it, but that wasn't what she was trained to do. Silence was golden, scarlings were to be seen and not heard.

Shun's comment had her blushing though, a shy smile crossing her face. "You really think so?" There were still some doubts that lingered in her mind, insecurities that she knew she would eventually have to face.

Mitsu really didn't think howls were eerie, but she was also a little bias. When asked to try it, however, she looked around hesitantly. They were still somewhat in town...around people.

"I..I dunno. I've never really done it before." She admitted. "N..not since I was little." And she could barely remember trying.

Mitsu looked up at the reaper at the mention of his smile. The way he said it made it directed more to her being the cause and it warmed her heart. "I like your smile." Maybe not entirely on the topic but it was true.

Still though she looked around nervously before turning to the park they were passing. Maybe that would be a more secluded place to go for the time being.

When Shun looked toward the park as well Mitsu took the initiative to head that direction, her feet taking her along the zigzag cobblestone path. The park was mostly empty save for a few people here and there but Mitsu didn't stop. She kept walking eventually leaving the path and heading up a hill.

The lycan had come this way before on one of her many days of 'adventure' but she had memorized the way because she liked it here. There was a clearing on top of a hill passed a small thicket of trees that offered a nice view of the sky. It was there she headed following a path that was barely worn into the ground.

As the trees cleared away Mitsu made her way to the top of the small hill and releasing Shun's arm sat down, feeling the grass underneath her. "I actually remembered the way. I came here before, I rather like it." Her gaze shifted upward again just as the clouds cleared away to reveal the moon behind them, that urge filling her eyes again.

Her ears perked with interest as she regarded the reaper curiously. "You would howl?" Somehow the idea seemed interesting, though the notion probably should have been funny to her. "I..I guess...." She hesitated before she finally shook her head. "N..no if you howl...I will howl." Mitsu wouldn't allow Shun to go through that effort and her not even try. She would have tried right then and there....but she was too interested to see what Shun would do.
