Since the meeting with the boy with the mask, Dakota had been on the hunt for another person to mess with. As of now, it wasn't a very fruitful search. Chama constantly hummed at his side but he didn't want to talk to the woman right now. In fact, as far as he knew, Maybe he needed some more male influences?

He also wanted things to be explained to him. He was a new recruit after all and though there we're a good amount of people in his division, he wanted to find someone who knew and could explain the basic gist. Apparently the last thing that was hinted at was a mission that had the recruits on Probatation.

And he had heard of such a character. Gale of the Death's division. He was the most experienced beyond teachers, A boy and from what he heard, a very interesting character. So he knocked on the boy's door...Hopefully he was there.

Gale had spent several days now trying to get used to the fact that he was no longer a beginner trainee.

It felt no different being an intermediate trainee, of course. It was not as if he had suddenly gotten taller or grown older. But he perhaps felt a bit older, and maybe a bit wiser, even if he did not appear the same.

And maybe he'd be lucky and people would stop disregarding him because of his age.

Or maybe he would be treated exactly the same. Who really knew? Either way, Gale was maintaining a certain level of accomplishment because of his promotion, even if he had ultimately failed the exam. Despite everything, however, despite Caelius' disapproval and his manner of acting like a feral cat circling its prey, he had still been promoted.

Now he sat in his room, idly flipping through one of Bix's comics. Jinhai had lapsed into a thoughtful silence, musing to himself, and Gale was, to say the least, bored.

There was an unexpected knock on his door, his gaze flickering towards it. With a great deal of effort, he pulled himself upright, and made his way towards the front of the room.

The figure at the door was not familiar.

"Er," said Gale. "Yes? Can I help you?"

Dakota laughed as he looked down...at the much shorter trainee. He had a few jokes...and possibly wanted to move himself so that he was eye level with the other boy but...He thought that rude to do to a senior of sorts. So instead he just tucked his hand in his pockets and rolled on the balls of his feet.

"Yo! We've never met. Name's Dakota Rainstar, Moon Division. We're kinda of new." He patted his weapon, who made a small spark of fire as if in response. "We're wondering if you could help us out? Being new and all, I'm not sure what the layout of this place is...and what you guys do around here besides missions?" He looked behind the other trainee at the blank white walls and grimaced. They matched his own room, and he really hated that his room was so white.

"So you mind helping a newbie out?" He cocked his head, smiling easily.

Chama. Stop being rude. Dakota placed a warning hand on his weapon. Didn't know why he didn't just leave her in his room.

She shrieked, causing him to wince.

He was laughing. Laughing.

That was not exactly a good first impression.

Gale's expression grew from bemused to distinctly disgruntled within a few seconds of opening the door to the new trainee. He didn't particularly enjoy having someone knock on his door and then laugh at him when it was opened.

Especially since he had a very good idea of just why this new guy - Dakota Rainstar - was laughing.

The scowl grew more pronounced.

"Gale Gentry," he replied back, in a slightly irritated tone of voice. "Death Division, which means I'm under the ever illustrious Caelius."

<< Sometimes I wish I could hear what other weapons said. >> murmured Jinhai, and Gale's eyes flickered briefly to the ring on his left index finger, over the gloves he wore.

Sometimes I do too. Then you could tell me what this guy is really thinking.

The gaze he leveled at Dakota was suspicious.

"Perhaps," he said. "Though there isn't really much to do around this bloody place, now is there? If you just need a tour guide, however..." Gale's shoulders lifted and fell in a small shrug. "I'm sure I can assist you somehow."

Dakota was pretty sure he just ruined a chance at getting anywhere in the facility when the boy's expression changed from bemused to disgruntled.

Dakota sighed shaking his head. He would try this again.

"Sorry, I'm not use to using manners and all." He nodded again at the introduction, "Nice to meet ya Gale." he held out a hand to shake before wincing, "Yes, I've met our fearless and terrifying leader." Dakota looked of to the side. He wondered secretly if all the Death trainee's had attitudes like Caelius? He really hoped not seeing as they greatly outnumbered the other divisions.

"Oh that'd be nice actually. Like I said, I need the guidance of someone a little more experienced around here. And Well, All I know is the new trainee's and that's about it." He raised an eyebrow, "You don't mind helping me do you?"

It was, perhaps, a Very Good Thing that Gale could neither see nor hear what was going on in either Dakota or Chama's minds.

Especially since if he heard the word "adorable" he might have just flown into a conniption. As it was, he just gave the other a cool, leveled gaze and hesitated only a fraction of a second before extending his hand as well to shake the other's.

"Caelius isn't technically the leader of Deus Ex," said Gale, once he had dropped his hand away, slipping both of them into the pockets of his dark slacks. "Just the Death Division, though he does tend to be a drama queen and take over things."

There was a slight pause, as though Gale were waiting for the man in question to leap out and run his scythe through him.

"At any rate," continued Gale, once it had been asserted that no such thing was happening. "Don't get on his bad side - you'll never live it down, and he'll torment you for the rest of the time you're here, regardless of whether or not you're actually in his division."

"Oh, and don't mention his hair - Caelius'll do his nut if you so much as look at him funny."

Taking a few steps back into the room, Gale retrieved the white coat from where it was draped over the back of a chair, slipping his arms into the blue and gold trimmed sleeves before reaching for the scarf, tossing it haphazardly around his neck.

"Well, have you got any idea of anything yet?" asked Gale, stepping out into the hallway and shutting the door behind him. "Or are we just starting at one end and going til we reach the other?"

Chama continued her ranting of the cuteness of the Death hunter. Did Dakota feel jealous? Just a tiny bit, but then again, he thought of Chama as more of a mother...sister...annoyance anyways.

"Right, Death Division only then." Dakota rubbed his hands on his pants before grinning, "Hey don't you think saying his name is kinda of like saying Voldermort in Harry potter? Like he'll be summoned out of no where?" Ryan had sorta of gotten the joke, so secretly he wondered if Gale would get it.

"I don't know about the Drama Queen thing but...I'll keep that in mind." He nodded. Secretly he wondered if his own captain was similar to the Death's division. Maybe some day they would know.

Okay, Caelius really sounded bad. Need to stay on the good side. He could handle that. Right?

"His hair?" Again...no nevermind, Caelius sounded like old pregnant woman. Moods swinging everywhere, upset over tiny things. He'd do his best not to get on the man's bad side...maybe.

"I'd say one end to another. I got dorms and the Cafeteria down. Does this place have anything fun around here?"

"Caelius could certainly give Voldemort a run for his money," said Gale dryly as he fiddled with the scarf around his neck. He draped it over his shoulder and pushed one end to the side "Though sometimes I think he might be worse than a serpentine evil lord..."

He didn't mention how sometimes, secretly, in his head he referred to Caelius as a Death Eater instead of a Death Hunter.

"What division are you again?" he asked, pushing his hair away from his face.

<< This guy is...interesting... >>

Beginning to walk down the hallway, Gale slipped his hands into his pockets and tilted his head up to look at Dakota. Despite the rather...unpleasant first impression, maybe the older hunter wasn't as bad as he came off.

...maybe.

"Not much, I'm afraid," said Gale, with a small shrug. "This is an island, so other than going to the beach, training, and trying to keep Dr. H from being a creeper, there isn't that much to do."

Dakota appreciated that the kid got his reference. It wasn't often that someone understood him and his lame references to the more nerdy things of life. Harry Potter just one of the few.

"I don't know, Caelius hasn't killed any of his followers yet so we may be safe yet." At least...none that Dakota had heard of after all. Then again, He was in what he thought was the more peaceful division. Moon hunters didn't do a lot did they? Besides constantly causing trouble...well more so...Julie caused trouble.

"Oh Moon. Sorry, I was just thinking of how to compare our assistant to your um...Leader." He grinned before waving his hand, "Though Julie is a little less physical with her.....anger....or issues."

"Seriously? No video games? No...." Dakota shook his head before sighing, "I guess now would be a good time to wade through some water then. I don't think I can continue training day after day." He was after all, only a 17yr old boy.

<17yrs old and a trained killer and hunter. Dakota accept that maybe its time you tried to get used to your new environment and get past your old life.>

Chama said it with a clipped tone causing Dakota to pause in their walk.

"Gale...How old are you bro?"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2012 9:26 am

"That you know of," corrected Gale, with a rather wry look back at Dakota. "Caelius hasn't killed any of his followers that you know of. Who knows what he did before any of us new hunters got here."

The thought of Caelius running rampant was a little disturbing. Gale really wasn't sure he wanted to know what the Death Hunter had been doing beforehand...

"Moon?" repeated Gale, and then managed a vague sort of half smile, one side of his lips quirking upwards in spite of himself. "Ah, so right now you're under Julie...that's, er...well..."

The Moon assistant was...well, interesting to say the least. Julie's exuberant personality, combined with her astonishing ability to create mayhem wherever she went, as well as wearing enough colors to rival a rainbow's, was really very impressive.

In a strange, roundabout sort of way.

"No video games," repeated Gale, shaking his head as he pushed open a door and led the older hunter down a dimly lit hallway that led out onto the grounds. "There's something strange that distorts all of the screens, so normal electronics won't work. You can borrow the telly sets in the common rooms, but other than that, there isn't that much."

He went a few more steps before he realized Dakota had stopped, Gale pivoting slowly to face him.

One brow rose.

"Just turned sixteen," he replied calmly. "Why?"

Dakota was about to say something more before raising his finger and then...silence. He opened his mouth again before closing it and turning his head. Gale had a good point, Gale had a excellent point.

THAT THEY KNEW OF....

"So Change of subject haha..." Dakota shook the thought/fear of Caelius going around with his giant a** scythe beheading people. Oh god...."Yes Julie." The face he made next was:

"I have no words to describe." Everyone had that apple in the bunch. The crazy, mayhem, troubled rainbowed kind. No seriously, he was sure at least Moon hunters didn't have people like....Caelius OTL

"Ah damn, It's kinda of sad to leave behind such fun things." He frowned as he thought of the aura that would effect the electronics before grinning, this island after all was full of mystery. The had cell phones and computers...Just nothing else.

"Ah so your around my age? You act a lot more mature but are kinda of on the smaller side so I wasn't sure." Dakota put his hands over his head and grinned again, "I'm 17, I thought I was one of the youngest but wasn't sure."
