Zoe had spent hours drilling the tiny talking cat, whom she had come to understand was a guardian, about anything and everything she could think of to do with the Senshi. She had spent the course of the next day randomly asking questions, sometimes out of the blue, until she was sure that Diana was going to find somewhere other than her nice, cozy bed to sleep on. The kitten had remained patient, however, and when she finally suggested that Zoe go take a test run with her new powers she felt obliged to do so.
The little thing needed to recover anyway.
That resulted in Midas finding a relatively empty, secluded part of the city to perform various tests. She was testing how hard she could punch, how fast she could run, and how far she could fall. She was pushing every limit she knew to push and by the time she stopped and leaned back into a cracked brick wall to take a break, she was panting slightly from used energy. Even that was a test, to see how long it took her newly enhanced body to wear down. The answer was a long time.
She blew out one long, satisfied breath and sent the front of her orangey blonde hair flying away from her face. As she leaned into the wall she tried to decide on her next area of testing, determined not to call it a night until she was ready to fall flat on her face from exhaustion.

It seemed creepy to say that Chibimoon had been watching but truth was truth; she'd been interested. There was a senshi of first rank power darting about the city like there was perhaps a good fight, a crisis, or maybe even just a warm fire happening just over the next building. Following at a distance just in case things went wrong the Moon senshi was eventually surprised to realize that this girl wasn't really going anywhere. She was running to run, testing herself maybe? The fact that the dark-skinned senshi was making punching motions at a tree and had kicked one rather prodigiously did quite a lot to support the latter theory.
It had been awhile since the Eternal had found a first rank so totally interested in what she could do rather than standing around looking bewildered that she couldn't help but bide her time. Eventually she'd stop and there'd be a good time to talk, if the senshi had any breath left in her lungs. Finally, with a flutter of teal, the senshi had leaned against a brick wall for breath.
Taking the moment immediately in a flutter of pink and gold, Chibimoon dropped down at the front of the alleyway from where she'd been observing interestedly. "You are pretty good. Are you very new?"

Midas' eyes flashed open instantly as she heard the scuff of shoes near her, settling on Chibimoon just as she opened her mouth to speak.
s**t.
In all of her training and testing she had forgotten to keep a feel out for the auras around her. What if that had been someone dangerous? If Chaonis were about he would have chastised her for it and then probably punched her to get his point across. Yet, as much as she hated being caught off guard and as much as it displeased her to have her flaws accidentally pointed out, noticeable to the other or not, she was not about to spite her.
It was another eternal in her presence and that was another potential advantage.
"I've only been awakened a few weeks, so yes," she pushed herself slowly off of the wall and tried her best to compose herself despite her panting chest. "I've been training but I still have so much to learn about.. everything." She waved a hand at the air as she said the last word, causing her sash to flow with the motion. At least she was trying to be social.
"You aren't though, right?" A pause, and then, "were you awakened.. here?" She hadn't missed the accent and though it wouldn't have been a big deal under normal circumstances, it was a curiosity in this one.

Midas' words about having to learn so much more had Chibi flashing a grin. "We all do, it does not get too easy. There are a lot, a very lot of things that we do not know are until they are." That was fairly cryptic but despite all of her work Coralie's English was still a bit loose in a few places, but the gist was there. It was a mystical, magical world that they didn't know a damn thing about most days. Not the most encouraging thing to say to a new recruit but she'd made a promise a long time ago not to sugar coat things.
Sugar coating made you delicious to enemies and got you devoured.
"I am Eternal Sailor Chibimoon and no. I come from...far away." 1000 years and a whole other timeline away was the perfect answer but there didn't seem to be anything to say for it. The smile remained though, laughing almost at herself with a joke that the other girl wouldn't quite understand. "If you want to know why I talk strange it is a Japanese accent. I was born in Tokyo." That was safe enough for she was born in Tokyo, long before it carried any other name.
Sometimes being 900 years old was a little complicated. "I have been a senshi since I was a child."

Midas found herself smiling at the simple way the younger girl put things. Though it might have been because of her challenge with English, it was still very eloquent when words meant only what they meant.
Any answer she had to that, however, faded as Chibimoon introduced herself. Her title implied a thousand things, some of which contradicted others, and for a moment she simply stared at the pink haired senshi with slightly widened eyes and lips that pursed in an attempt to prevent her mouth from gaping.
When she found her words again, she had to try her hardest not to talk too quickly lest she confound the girl whose first language was clearly not English.
"Yes, yes, I assumed it was probably an Asian accent and I didn't want to offend," she was waving away the specifics of the part she didn't care about, "but you are.. Eternal Sailor Chibimoon?" She repeated it as if she didn't quite believe her. She'd spoken enough with Diana that the name far preceded the girl. Somehow she was not quite and so much more than she had expected all at once.
"You are much older than she thought you would be, I think," she was speaking in riddles now, "hardly like the other chibis at all. You certainly feel like a normal senshi." She took a step to the side, as if she were trying to examine the girl. She was curious and rambling, asking questions and talking to herself all at once. There was just so much to know!
She was so busy with all the implications that it was almost as if she'd forgotten Chibi was a person at all, though she meant no harm and no offense.

Allie's nose wrinkled up at the mention of being far older than all of the other chibi senshi, something she had heard herself and never truly figured out. "I think it has to do with Sailor Moon. It gives me hope that she is alive because I am still Sailor Chibimoon." Her restless gesture not quite a shrug was brief, though her good humor remained throughout the whole of it. "I am also very close to my planet, closer than any other. I think that might be it." A clever lie but not entirely one. The proximity to her planet had to have something to do with her access to power, right? The fact that she was an immortal, ageless princess of two planets and a city that would now never exist was inconsequential.
It also wasn't something that you just trumpeted about on the street, sharing all your intimate life details with the first senshi you met on a chilly night because you approved of their work ethic.
"I am sixteen now." Sort of. "Is that good enough?" Her tongue stuck out a bit as Coralie winked a bit, noting that not only had this girl not introduced herself as well, but she was interrogating the stronger senshi like a contestant on a game show. "But who are you?"

"Right, Sailor Moon.." It was simply a repeat of what Chibi had been saying, spoken softly and trailing off into nothing as that pensive look surfaced on her face again. She had heard plenty of Sailor Moon and yet she was still unsure of what she felt about the woman, if anything. How did you feel allegiance to something that you'd never seen?
"Oh, I'm sorry," she frowned at herself as Chibi's query pulled her out of her thoughts, silently kicking herself for being so rude. It was common for her curiosity to outweigh her politeness and even more common for her not to care so much. But this girl was important, not only as an eternal, but as someone related to the Moon Kingdom so closely.
"I'm Sailor Midas, Senshi of Greed," she stuck out her hand to shake, the sash attached to it swishing lightly through the air with the motion. "I also think I have your cat."

Blinking a bit, taken aback by the tail end of the statement, Allie tilted her head a bit. It was a pretty interesting look when her ponytails were lopsided, the points of her buns pointing slightly southeast rather than due north as was usual. Once someone had commented that Usagi was such a good name for her and if her buns could have moved on their own, she would have been absolutely perfect. She couldn't remember who said it which made her very sad sometimes.
"My cat? Chloe? That is odd, she was home when I left..." The pink princess obviously had no idea that Diana had even been brought to this time, having never once sensed her, been met by her, and certainly the Amazons hadn't said a word. "Do you mean Leopard? But he is not my cat and he is a bit big to be a cat you can have." Plus Itsuki didn't really get along with anyone long enough to stay with them, bless his Japanophile heart.
"It is nice to meet you though, Midas. Please call me Chibi?"

The tilt of the girl's buns was indeed amusing. Midas let her gaze flicker up to them and then back down to the tilted head as Chibi tried to work out what cat she had. Chloe? Leopard? Those names meant absolutely nothing to her, though she did wonder who in the world would have an actual leopard in Destiny City. But that was a question for another time.
"No, no, Diana." Unsure if Chibi actually knew the tiny kitten half as well as Diana knew her, she brought her hands up and held them out at approximately the length of the tiny kitten. "She's about this big and kind of a purply-pink color, can't stop talking about you and finding where you've been." She dropped her hands and managed a small, hesitant laugh. "Won't she ever be pleased to know you're alright."
And Midas would be pleased to never have to hear her fussing about it ever again.
"Would you like to come see her, Chibi?" She tilted her head in mirror to the eternal's, smiling as endearingly as she could manage. She needed to be in Chibi's good graces if she was really all that she implied she was. She would be a very important friend to have.

"D-Diana? You said Diana?" Whatever reaction Midas was expecting from Allie it probably wasn't that the girl staggered a bit, falling against the brick wall next to her. Catching herself with a shoulder, ruby eyes welled with tears, gloved hands pressing their heels against her eyes to chase them back. She couldn't cry all the time; a princess didn't cry. A warrior didn't cry. Haruka had always told her that while Small Lady sat and cried over her scrapes and pains, saying that you could never cry when there was something important to be done.
Rubbing at her eyes childishly with her fists she asked again. "My kitten when I was home was Diana. You said she is asking for me? She can't find me?" That was odd. Diana had once traveled through a thousand years to come home to her mistress but who knew what had happened that her whole being might have been obstructed from the normal flow of things.
She shouldn't even be alive.
"Please. Please take me to see her. I miss her so much!" Reaching out, not thinking, the Eternal senshi grasped the other by the hands and squeezed. "She has been my friend for a very long time."

For a moment, Midas was deeply concerned by the senshi's reaction. It could be blamed on the fact that she didn't know the entire history behind Chibi and Diana, where they were from, and how long they had really been separated. It could be blamed on the fact that there were few things in Midas' life that she would have been so overjoyed as to cry about them.
It could be blamed on a lot of things, but as Midas watched her frantically recover, she could only feel pride in herself for unintentionally reuniting them.
"Of course," she said softly, returning the grasp Chibi had on her hand so that her own fingers were cupped in the gloved ones of the heir. She didn't need anyone else to tell her that this was boding very well for her, or that she was putting herself in a wonderful position. She climbed social ladders in her spare time and knew when she was speeding through the rungs. Befriending the closest thing they had to a princess? That was a huge step in her fight to the top.
"It would absolutely be my pleasure," she said through a smile, tugging the hang of Chibi gently in the direction of her home as she fell into step. At least she genuinely wanted to see their reunion. Her motives weren't entirely selfish, not quite.

It was probably foolish to trust a girl that she'd just met, who just happened to know the name of Chibiusa's dearest, oldest friend in the entire universe, who just happened to magically...be there. In that time, in that place, where there was now only Luna without an Artemis. Diana would be overjoyed to know that at least a portion of her mother still survived even if she was now melded with a cantankerous ash-grey cat with little sense of humor.
That'd actually, probably, be fairly interesting to witness. It pushed the tears back further so the two girls hand-in-hand walked down the street as quickly as possible. Even in the shadows it was clear to everyone who would pass them that Chibimoon was beaming to rival the sun, for all that she was the Moon Princess.
Diana! And Midas had helped make it happen! No, the pink-haired senshi was not going to forget this new girl anytime soon.
