"Oh my god, is this minesweeper?" Cass asked as she looked at the new field she'd entered, one hand of her golem on the wall of the stone cavern as she navigated into it. Taking a moment to look over the field as she walked one way..and then the other, grinning widely.
"This is going to be amazing."
What is Minesweeper?

Cass stepped into the room and onto her first tile. It clicked underneath her feet and began to tick. She stared at it for a moment, wondering if it was supposed to make that noise. After about 3 seconds it rumbled, shook, knocked her down... but did nothing else, as though its sole purpose had been to scare the s**t out of her.
For the record, she'd been to engrossed with what was going on to actually panic more than...

Cass took a moment to look over the tiles that were within touch from where she was now, grinning a bit as she investigated the tile she was standing on. No numbers attached to it, so it looked like if she stepped from here, it wouldn't be directly into automatic death, right?
She hoped not.
Taking a step, the next tile also clicked underneath her feet. It shifted and shook underneath her feet, settled, and also did nothing. For a moment she wondered if she should have been expecting this to turn very... Last Crusade on her.
I want a hat now.

Cassandra
Nicodemus's voice came as a warning into the Mist Hunter's head as she moved to step onto her next tile, pausing to look at the one she stood on right then as a number burned into the surface of it. She made a small face before she moved and stepped onto a different one instead.
The new tile clicked underneath her feet, rumbled, and then cracked out from underneath her, causing her to fall underneath until it reformed around her waist, trapping her there. Underneath the tile, she could feel something clawing at her legs and she shrieked in surprise, fighting against the guard around her waist until she pulled herself out of it, sitting on a corner of the tile. Her pant legs were completely shredded and the flesh of her legs were bleeding from the assault.
She took a minute to catch her breath.

WAIT
Nicodemus had waited too long to warn the hunter and as she stepped onto her next tile, the surface cracked open and several spikes opened up underneath her. The girl spilled into them, feeling them pierce into her legs as the tile reformed above her.

Attempt Two She'd returned to the cavern. Not the smartest idea, her legs still numb outside of the golem from the result of her last attempt, but... she was a slight glutton for punishment, she guessed, and she headed back onto that first tile of choice, hoping it hadn't been altered since her last attempt.

Cass's legs shook as she stepped onto the next tile.
Are you really sure you're up to this?
<> She huffed. Still, when the next tile began to beep and flash, there was a moment when panic flashed through her mind, wrapping her arms around herself and waiting for the worst..... only for it to never come.

Cass took a deep breath as she stepped onto the next tile after that, wrapping her arms around herself as she waited for something to fall down upon her. The cracks formed in this tile as well and she waited for a moment to fall again...but they stopped, slowly resealing themselves as though it was a horrible joke.
The mist hunter made a small face at her success.
You're doing good to not panic.

Cass paused before she stepped onto the next time, looking at the number burned on the one underneath her before she grimaced and stepped to the one next to her instead.
Several arrows descended from the ceiling and she threw her arms up to protect herself. She was fortunate she couldn't really suffer from this in her real body, the sight of the arrows piercing her skin and sticking out of it... ew.
Cass made a face, seeming very..bothered. Oh man....
Just do one more and then we'll leave, yes?

On the next tile, it exploded.
Cass? Cass honey? Where are you? Hello?
She'd spend a lot of time outside of the golem with numb skin and the irritation of some burns that had already existed previously before this challenge. The golem would not be found at all, blown to smithereens.Status Step: 5HP: 0 Flags: 0 Instinctive moves: 0

Cassandra didn't answer the voice in her head as she stepped onto the first tile again, her body aching despite the fact that she herself was not in any real physical danger. At least she was taking the time to heal between things, still looking battered as hell. Cassandra was becoming more reckless in her movements, stepping onto the next tile without a thought about it. Both sides of it immediately snapped up, smashing into her shoulders and earning a wince from both herself and the voice in her head.

Cass took a deep breath as she took a moment to decide on her next tile, the flag in hand before she looked at the one she was on..then to the next one, stepping over to it. It flashed, cracked, then reformed, again teasing her as she'd suffered from these so many times before.
Still, she'd forced herself to keep her calm. Phew!

Cass used her flag!Cass paused. The tile she'd been going to step on looked suspicious and she gave it a moment of thought, before she stepped to the next tile, panting. Her body was really starting to hurt from this challenge.
If you fail again, you shouldn't try this anymore.

After a break, Cass finally got up again, stretching. Her body groaned and she took another step to the next tile, waiting for all hell to rain down upon her. She looked up awkwardly, then down... the tile didn't even troll her.
That was five.
