Dearel stopped at the edge of Huntington. She was finally here. It had been such a long trip from the mainland. The young woman set her luggage carrier down as she looked over her first view of the settlement. Nothing like its pictures, she decided. She had come for the Mokai. Ever since she had first heard of them, she had been facinated by them. Now her dream was finally reality. A couple of the mokai playing in the street caught her attention. Very neat.
Now on to business. She needed a place to stay temporarily until she could find her own place and get settled. Reluctantly she picked up her luggage and only got a couple steps before running into someone. "Sorry," Dearel mumbled. She moved to the side to let them pass, since they seemed to be in a hurry.

Tayah was waving off a friend who was heading away from Huntington when someone bumped into her, almost toppling her small Pet Mokai from her arms. Gripping him firmly so he wouldn't fall she turned around back towards the way she'd just come, she was nice most of the time but she couldn't abide rudeness. Her face softened as she heard the apology come as she turned and she smiled a little "It's ok, i was just waving a friend off" she said, taking note of the luggage "You're new here huh?

"Oh," she didn't have any friends here yet. No one to greet her after she'd waved goodbye to all she'd know at home. Perhaps friends would come in time. Dearel was sure she'd make friends of her mokai when she got one.
"Yeah. Name's Dearel." She glanced at the obvious luggage. "Do you know where a stranger could get a place to stay for a couple days? At least until I know what I'm doing?" It had been rather fool-hardy to just come without having a place to come to. Whatever the case, she'd deal with it now.
