Otto descended down the stairs, his hands shoved deep in his pockets, making a point to make loud stomping noises the further he went down. Here was the Cove, the place he was supposed to meet his so called partner? And he'd be attached at the hip for all eternity? He was almost tempted to ask to be put back to sleep. Almost.
However, the further he went down, the darker it became. Dark, cold.. but mostly dark. Otto began to hesitate until he saw a soft glow in a small room.

Cautiously, the teen inched his way inside, sliding one foot in, then shifting inch by inch into the little cove. He tried not to shiver. It was okay. It was dark, but there was that one torch, right? Right. He just hoped it didn't suddenly go out on him.

He then noticed the runes along the walls, glowing ever so faintly. A strange humming in the air rung through his ears, making his already agitated mood even worse. So, where was this so called partner? The other hunters said they'd be down here! "They pranked me.." Otto gritted his teeth, intent on kicking the s**t out of everything.
In fact, he acted on it. Or tried to.

The moment he ran to one of the walls to attempt a running kick, something resonated in his mind. KICK THEIR ASSES, KIDDO!

"HOLY s**t--" Otto fell short and tumbled to the floor. His heart beat thumped and pounded heavily in his chest. Icy blue eyes scanned the room as he frantically crawled backward into a wall. What? No one there? Was it those punk a** hunters from above? It had to be. Unless... it was something in the shadows?
His heart wouldn't stop pounding, but despite his fear, Otto tried to maintain his persona. His brows furrowed angrily.
"Ya'll think yer funny. Get out here and face me head on!"

Oh, Hoh! I like your style, kiddo! I love a good fight. Me and you will be good friends.

That voice again.. Otto shakily got to his feet, looking around wearily. "Knock it off with the kiddo talk, b***h." He snapped back venomously. Oi! Watch your mouth! Now get your a** over here and pick me up!

Otto grunted, looking furiously for the voice. "Where? Get out so I can see ya!" The voice sighed with exassperation. By Jack, you're slow! Over. Here. Otto looked to his side. One of the runes seemed to click with him. Almost as if in a trance, the boy reached out a hand, tentatively grazing his fingers over a design shaped like a boomerang. Thaaat's it. Now then... Otto swallowed hard, pulling at the rune tablet until it was out of its enclosure. Suddenly, it began to shift and form into something else, something bigger.

"Woah woah woah!" Otto yelped, as he was suddenly carrying a large and very heavy over sized boomerang. Now that's better. It's great to finally meet you. I'm Tenya. Otto stared at the large weapon in his hand. His little mind couldn't grasp what had just happened. "You..the voice.. is a.."

The voice laughed in a hearty tone.
I'm your partner. See, you'll help me, and I'll help you. Now then.. name? Otto stared some more.
"Uh.. Otto." He replied simply.
Right. Well then, let's be off now. Don't dawdle! You wanted to kick some a**, right?

Otto soon began to smirk. So, his partner was a weapon? And one who liked to fight? Well, she seemed like a nag, but if she thought on the same s**t disturbing level he did? He could live with this.
