An 18 year old Akemi Uchiha yawned and stretched like a cat as she got herself a little bit more comfortable in tree that she had chosen to take her nap in. She was already starting to wonder where Luino and Rei were. It wasn't like them to be out of her sight for so long, but she supposed that they had to of had a good reason for it. After all it wasn't easy to get out of Akemi's sights once she had then upon you so she really had to give them credit for giving her the slip. Or perhaps it was just another one of those days where she was feeling just lazy enough to not bother with hunting them down. Preferring instead to have some alone time to catch up on her reading or getting in a little nap here and there. She trained as hard as any ninja in her position but people sometimes needed to understand that a girl just needs her beauty sleep from time to time. She stifled a yawn by placing her right hand over her mouth, popping a single eye open and looking out over the fields. She took note of all the Genin out there training, instantly being taken back to the first time she met her team. It was the same day that Mimi-sensei came back from Kiri and gave her the headband that still had pride of place around her waist today. She missed her old teacher so much sometimes. She closed her eye again and rubbed it with the back of her hand sleepily. She would be a sensei some day soon too, she would do her best to pass on the teachings that she had been given to her own students. She then drifted off to sleep once more with a soft smile upon her lips.

The day turned to dusk which turned to night. It was starting to get cold and Akemi had apparently overslept more then just a little bit longer then she was expecting to and she had curled up into a ball in her sleep in an attempt to get warm. She rolled over onto one side, coming close to actually falling off the edge of the branch that she was laying on because apparently she was having a dream, that and she always tossed and turned a lot in her sleep. And she was talking while she did so."Rei..." She mumbled before another soft smile spread across her lips and she began to make kissy faces. She would absolutely die if anyone saw or heard her, and knowing her luck people would start searching for her soon because even though she had a penchant for running off and doing her own thing she wasn't usually gone for quite this long. She pulled her sword which was still in it's scabbard up against her and hugged it. She always liked to have something to hold when she slept, but unfortunately for her she usually slept alone. Apart from the times when she spent the night at Rei's place, but she couldn't exactly do that every night. Her fear of commitment had always kept her from getting too close, and she was starting to wonder whether that was a bad thing. She went back to her mumbling in her sleep, dreaming of better days.

Akemi lay asleep without being disturbed for the most part, completely unaware that she was being watched by anyone, let alone that person being Rei. Although it made sense that he would be the one to find her seeing as Ahiku was always busy and Mimi way away. Rei tended to have quickly picked up on and become accustomed to her quirks and habits. It was admirable really. She continued mumbling about random things, but no one thing in particular. It was rare for her mumblings to ever actually focus upon one thing. Although she had indeed been thinking about him, she had been tossing and turning a lot like she always did right up until the moment that he flickered next to her in the tree. Almost as if his presence had a sort of soothing effect on her she stopped moving about almost instantly and relaxed a little more. When he spoke, she heard him and it woke her up easily due to her very keen and perceptive senses. She moved from her curled up position and stretched. She had been facing away from him before and so she turned onto her back so she could get a better look at whomever had spoken. She opened her eyes, they were half lidded due to her having just woken up but she could see him just fine. It took a few moments to sink in, but her brain finally caught up with her eyes and recognized him.

The moment that she realized she wasn't still dreaming her eyes widened considerably, suddenly figuring out that he must have heard her mumbling his name in her sleep and she pretty much jumped out of her skin, slipping and falling from the branch, only just about managing to grab onto another branch and stop herself from falling. The young Uchiha pulled herself back up onto the branch a short distance away and glared at him slightly, she was never in a particularly good mood after just having been woken up but her gaze soon softened as her heart slowed in it's beating. She moved from branch to branch in a cat like manner on all fours. For anyone else it might be awkward to move that way, but for Akemi it seemed as natural as breathing and she made it look ever so graceful. She then crawled up next to him, she was still half asleep so she sat right next to him on the branch and then rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes once more, purring softly in the way that she did when she was happy and contented."Sorry about that. But you know what I get like when I wake up. I didn't say anything embarrassing in my sleep right? And more to the point, how long did I oversleep for? It's already dark. Ahiku's gonna kill me..."
