Azzo had been in his room all morning writing down a few things he wanted to get for Christmas. When Grams called up to him, "They're coming home for Thanksgiving and staying until New Years."

There was a pause as Azzo looked towards his door, "Who?" He called back, knowing very well who she was talking about but he wanted her to say it all the same.

"You're parents." She shook her head, "Honestly, who else do you think would be coming pup?"

He heard her go back to the kitchen. She was already planning thanksgiving dinner, and Azzo had conveniently upgraded their television and subscribed to cable. He wanted to watch the parade, he'd always watched it at friends houses when he was younger. Thinking it'd be nice to have something to do on Thanksgiving was at least appealing to him.

He finally got up and headed down stairs to see if Grams needed any help. "Should I run to the store or do you need me to do something here?" He asked curiously as he leaned on the bar watching her write out a list. "You know I got that program on your phone that writes what you want for you, and then you could send it to me so I can pick it up." He reminded her with a smile, Merlin was laying on the kitchen rug watching Grams, hoping for some table scraps.

"I know that, I just like doing it the old way. Oh can you put out the rest of the fall decorations? I noticed there's still some Halloween stuff left out and that needs to be remedied." She pointed towards the Jack-o-lantern that had red lights in its mouth, nose and eyes.

"Oh right! Sure grams." He said with a nod as he moved to start gathering up the things that were more Halloween than fall and put them in a pile. He could get the boxes out of the attic after he finished putting those away he could fish out the fall ones. Looking around he managed to get all the left over Halloween decorations and moved to get the boxes from the attic. Pausing at the candy dish, he noticed there was still candy! This was awesome, he didn't even know there was candy left; so Azzo picked up two pieces and headed up the stairs.

Miniature Twix's Azzo decided were only enough to make someone mad. As he finished off the one he'd grabbed, and started on the Butterfinger. Grabbing the boxes he headed back down stairs so he could put the Halloween decorations in it. While he was headed down stairs he heard Merlin yelp and a few strings of words from Grams. Dropping the boxes he ran down the stairs to the point he could jump the railing and not land on the hall table, stumbling a bit as he did. "Grams?" He moved to see her getting up.

He frowned, "What happened?" Azzo was already by her side helping her up.

"Oh... I just tripped, it's nothing dear." She answered not seeming troubled, "I guess I didn't see the dog when I was moving to see what other spices I needed."

He was staring at her skeptically. "Here sit down for a while; you've been standing a long time. I can see what you need." He said with a nod as he picked up the list and her pen she'd been writing with and handed it to her. "Tell me what you're looking for, I can at least read the names and tell you if we have it."

He moved to where she kept the spices in order to help her while she rested for a bit. When they finished the thanksgiving list and Grams had settled into playing a game of solitaire; Azzo decided to get those boxes he dropped and finish cleaning up so he could redecorate for fall. Of course he knew in a few weeks he'd have to start decorating for Christmas, there was a small sigh, he wasn't looking forward to doing all that by himself.
