For the first time, Dela was feeling rather rebellious. She knew that her father wanted her to be in the safety of the nursery or in the house at all times, but she really wanted to explore. When the two-leggers weren't watching, she had managed to sneak away from them and into the compound just outside the nursery, on her own for the first time.
Now, what to do first?
Dela sniffed the air curiously and was overwhelmed with unfamiliar scents. It was far too much for her young nose to understand, but it was exhilarating nonetheless. Without any clear direction in mind, she began to walk, her head high and her chest out, just like daddy. She walked with a rather odd swagger, she hadn't quite mastered it yet, but it was fairly clear that she was at least trying to look dignified.

She was minding her own business. Dorian had released her and her father out in the the world, well not exactly. She had been released off the leash as they were walking around the compound and decided to take a look around. Maybe she'd find Imnir running around or in his stall. She had remembered his scent pretty well and visited there if she was in the neighborhood. However it was this scent that reminded her of Imnir that caught the young pup's playful attention. Wasn't quite him, but there was his smell.
Turning she bumped right into Dela and turned into a defensive snarl. This was not Imnir so she gave a somewhat pouting face. "You smell like him." She whined.

Dela jumped slightly as she collided with another pup, giving an indignant snort as she righted herself. "Watch where you're going." She sighed and sat down, giving the other female a condescending glare. What was she going on about? Who did she smell like?
Dela looked the other pup up and down. She was certainly very pretty, she'd give her that. She didn't look like some mutt, so she supposed she could spend some time talking with her. Now that she thought about it, this one looked rather familiar, but she couldn't put her paw on it. She knew they hadn't met, but she decided not to dwell on that.
"You're going to have to explain." She flattened her ears back against her head, slightly annoyed. She didn't expect that she should have to ask for clarification. Others should simply know how to speak to her so she would understand what they meant! "Who exactly were you trying to smell?"

"You smell like Imnir." She stated matter of factly. "You even seem to sort of act like him. Do you know him?" The young pup asked. Golden eyes filled with wonder. This other mokai seemed a bit haughty though for someone who was so small. Was she like Nef, a puppy? "How old are you?" Nefertari asked.
Hopefully she could find Imnir. Ask him to play with her or something. She so desperately wanted to get into trouble. It was what she lived for. Then a thought hit her as she wagged her fluffy tail. Maybe this other mokai would play with her! She wasn't so big like the others and they could probably get into lots of trouble.
"Wanna play?"

"Imnir? You know my daddy?" Dela was rather surprised, but pleased at this. If this mokai liked her father, she was good enough to be her play mate any day. "That's great! My name is Dela." She nodded, "I'm Imnir's oldest daughter. What's your name?" She thought about her other question for a moment. How old was she? She had never really thought about it. "I don't know, probably about as old as you." She was judging by size, mostly. Dela was a bit larger than the average pup at her age, though this white puppy was a little bigger than her because of the fact that she was older. Not that Dela knew that.
"Sure!" She dropped the 'oh-so-proper' attitude, since any friend of Imnir's surely didn't need her to behave like that to know how important she was. "What would you like to play?" She wagged her tail excitedly, "I haven't been outside the nursery and my house much. We could explore?" She suggested hesitantly. She knew that her father wouldn't much like it, but as long as she was with a friend it wouldn't be so bad. She hoped.

"Yah we played together. It was a few weeks ago just a little after me and my siblings were born. I couldn't stand the nursery and being cooped up most of the time or leashed just wasn't my cup of tea. So I escaped. We played hide and seek." Then she gave a small bow, "Its nice to meet you Dela. I'm Nefertari. Well I'm glad to have others my age. The older ones are so big and scary sometimes."
Then as the other asked what she wanted to play she hunkered down and lept at the other. Nipping at her heels for a moment before she ran off, "Catch me if you can keep up!" Hopefully they wouldn't run into Dorian and her father.

"Wow, that's awesome! Maybe he and I can both come play with you some time." She wagged her tail happily, glad to have a playmate. And one that her father liked too, it was perfect! Dela couldn't wait to find out what kind of fun they could all have together. "Nefer..Nefertari!" Dela tripped over the long name at first, but she liked it. "Your name is pretty." She said with a nod.
"Wha-?" Dela jumped back a bit as her new friend suddenly pounced at her, startled, "Oh!" Once she realized what was going on, she gave chase as fast as her legs could carry her, a look of playful determination on her face, "I'm gonna get you!" She barked playfully, all the while remembering the tips her father had given her about running and chasing. Long strides, pace yourself, don't overdo it...
Ah, who cares about that? This was time to play! Dela sprinted after Nefertari, her boundless energy showing no signs of slowing down, at least not yet.
