While a good chunk of the things bothering Shun that resulted from the field trip were gone, there was one that still annoyed him. It wasn't serious, but it was something that aggravated him by a decent amount. It was the fact that his jacket had been turned into a pink dress and there wasn't any way to salvage that. Though.. a part of that was because he left it out in the field after it had been altered.
It was about time to get a new one, he figured.
Taking up his wallet, he exited his room and started to head on out. By habit he tried to place his hands into his pockets... but the jacket wasn't exactly there. Grimacing a bit, he just settled to go with his jeans for now.
How troublesome.

Mitsu's sleep patterns had been in and out since the field trip. When she spent time with Shun she was relaxed and able to sleep just fine, when on her own it was an entirely different matter. It was like the bad dreams collected and decided to bombard her all at once when she closed her eyes.
It was after a particularly bad night that the lycan decided to spend some time outside to try and clear her head. A nice walk would do the trick or at least she hoped it would. She was on no particular path, just walking across school groups when a familiar face caught her eyes. A smile crossing her face she trotted over to the reaper, instantly feeling better once she was in his presence.
"Hi, I didn't expect to see anyone on my walk." Mitsu mused reaching out to take his arm lightly. "What are you up to?"

For the most part, Shun wasn't really expecting to run into anyone on his way to town. Though, Mitsu's presence was always a welcomed one as far as he was concerned. Glancing over as he heard her voice, his expression soften while he quietly waved to her.
"I'm just on my way to town. Perhaps I can find myself a new jacket there," he replied, pausing for the moment to let her take his arm.
"How about you?"
Maybe she was needing to pick something up as well. Or maybe she was just out for a little walk.

"A new jacket?" Oh right, how could she forget. Jacket...pink dress....very upset. He did look very different without the leather jacket, maybe that was because she had seen him with it so often. Kind of like Mot with his hat.
"I was just out for a walk. Trying to clear my head a bit." She mostly spent her time cooped up in her room which really was doing her no good. The lycan needed to train and train hard. Hel had made that fact painfully clear to her. She had been weak during the trip, she was still weak, and if she continued to stay that way she would only end up watching her friends get hurt again.
"Mind if I tag along?" At least a little outing would help her take her mind off of it for a little while.

A flicker of concern showed up on his face there.
"Clear your mind? Is something wrong?" he frowned. There could be a number of reasons why she might have to do that, but regardless, it meant that something was troubling her. Hopefully the field trip wasn't still plaguing her too much. Regardless the case, he wanted to try and see if there was anything he could do for her to help ease her worries.
"And of course you can," Shun added softly.

"Umm..." Mitsu wasn't sure how to answer really. There were a number of things bothering her though mostly they revolved around the trip but some were a little closer to home. The battle with Hel was still fairly fresh in her mind even if some time had passed.
Following beside the reaper as they left school grounds Mitsu tried to compile her thoughts and her facial expression said so. She was much easier to read now that she didn't wear her mask. "W..well, I do have one question." Mitsu said softly, her ears folding back slightly as a shamed look filled her face.
"D..do you blame me, for what happened in the canyon?" She tilted her head up to look at him. "I feel like...I should have done more and maybe you wouldn't have been hurt." Because that's what Hel had said. If she had been stronger Shun wouldn't have been so badly injured. Those words plagued most of her thoughts and Mitsu wondered what she could have done differently.

With the apprehension he heard in her tone, Shun slowed his pace a bit, wondering what the hesitation was for. When she got her question out, he stopped in his tracks and stared at the werewolf.
"I don't. And quiet frankly there's not much more anyone could have done to prevent what happened to me. I would have attacked him and I don't think anyone knew he could pull off something like what he did."
Letting out a sigh, he shook his head and continued to walk.
"I underestimated the enemy and I paid the price for doing so. Simple as that."

As Shun came to a stop so did Mitsu and she stared up toward the reaper as he spoke. Somehow, it didn't make her feel that much better. "I just feel like...I should have had your back." She continued as they moved on. "And I was too weak to do so."
The disappointment in herself was clear. "I promised I would have your back and I failed."

The frown upon Shun's face deepened as Mitsu elaborated.
"Look. You were right there when it happened, fighting along side me. You dragged me out of harm's reach after I was struck too. You did have my back," he started before pausing again, "Where are you even getting these ideas?"
It frustrated him that she was thinking this way. He really could not see how she could have possibly done more than what she did for that situation.

Averting her eyes a little Mitsu frowned. "I-It's just what He...." Wait...maybe a name drop wasn't the best of ideas. How to cover that up though? What sounded like Hel? Hellma? No...no that wouldn't be right to pass the blame from one person to the other. Not to mention Mitsu never spoke to the headmistress. In fact, she scared her a little like she did most students.
"..He...happened had me thinking." That would pass right? She stuttered enough surely that would get by. To bad she was a terrible liar, though it was mostly the truth. It was just that Hel made her think on it a little harder.

Shun stopped again as Mitsu cut herself off. The first thing she said didn't quite sound like she was going to say 'he'. The 'e' was pronounced differently. So, he took a moment to try and figure out what names out there sounded like that. Well, there was Hellma but the likelihood of the headmistress saying something like that seemed rather low.
He had recalled a particular Valkyrie spewing out malicious words before though, however.
"Hel told you that?" he said a little darkly, obviously displeased. What the hell was she thinking? Maybe Mot was right to call her disgusting.

And just like that the jig was up. It had taken no time for the reaper to pin point her mistake and put two and two together. "No...I mean...yes but I was already thinking about it. Hel just made me think on it more. I was weak and she proved that point when she made me battle in the gym."
Instantly Mitsu snapped her mouth closed. That was probably too much information. Instead of trying to back track the lycan instead went with. "Please don't go and punch Hel in the face." Yeah, hopefully that would cover her bases.

"You battled her?" he repeated. It was more out of surprise and curiosity really. Shun didn't expect Mitsu to be hitting the gym so soon. He soon just shook his head and got back to the issue at hand, and he couldn't help but sigh when she requested that he wouldn't punch Hel in the face.
"If I strike her, it'll be in the gym. Speaking of which, she owes me a rematch..." he grumbled, "Look. You aren't the only one who needs improvement. I need to get stronger, and even Hel does as well."
The Reaper paused for a moment before letting out a sneer.
"You could have easily said the same thing to her. Mot was wounded pretty badly was he not? Where was she to stop that from happening?"

"Y..yeah. I hadn't really planned on it...but I did." Hel had dragged her there unknowingly and then taunted her into making the first point of contact. That part...Mitsu thankfully left out. "I...I lost control though." Mitsu frowned.
Hel had said the same thing though, that they all needed to become stronger. Yes, she definitely needed to become stronger. Her training would need to start as soon as possible, if not when they got back to the school.
Shun's last words though, they had Mitsu cringing. That was rather mean to say, Mot had been hurt so badly. "I...I don't think I could have ever said that."

"What do you mean that you lost control?" he asked with a furrowed brow. It sounded like Mitsu might have snapped, but Shun was having a little bit of a hard time imagining this at the moment. Though, as she commented on the harsh words he tossed out, his expression softened once more.
"Of course not. You aren't filled with venom as Hel seems to be," he uttered softly. When he first met the Valkyrie, he hadn't thought her to be one who could be malicious. That side was showing itself more and more often the longer he knew her, it seemed.
