Dorian had gotten them after this recovery, but who he was fighting in the ring he wasn't sure until they finally got there. No wonder Dorian had such a strange face. His human must have thought about this fight long and hard and about what it would mean to the white mokai. Yes, Ai was the mother of his pups and also the seed of his affection, but that didn't mean he was going to back down from a fight. Personal issues aside this was business. He did have a twinge of doubt though, could he really fight her? Shaking his head he got ready, Dorian hadn't leashed him this time. He could and would do this.
"No going easy." he said to himself, awaiting the fighting bell. Once it rang he waited a moment before circling. Seeing his chance he lunged with his horns.

Ai's Fighting Stats Attack: 9*7 = 63% Defense: 6% Speed: 7% Agility: 8% Intelligence: 1% Another day, another battle! Ai was led into the compound quickly by her owner, having a quick hand off of the leash to one of the ‘attendants’ before he made his way into the stands. This was the usual process for Ai; JB never was one to take her to the ring himself. She didn’t understand why, but she really never cared either. He did his job by bringing her here, and she did her job by fighting and (hopefully) winning. She had been rather lucky lately, as she held no losses under her belt.
As she stepped in the ring, her golden eyes gazed to spot her opponent. A familiar face indeed. She hadn’t seen the male since they were put in those dreaded ‘breeding stalls’ together. Part of her hated the male, but it wasn’t it his fault. She did love all her children in any case.
A small smirk placed on her maw as she just stared at Erebus. She was calm, collected for the battle. She would be the one to wait for him to make his first move. As soon as the bell rang, he did just that. Watching intently as the male sped forward, Ai waited, and waited until the opportune moment.

At the last second he turned to kick up dirt at her face to try and blind her. Blindly charging at a waiting opponent didn't set well with him. She had won her fights, he wanted to win one himself. No, he'd let her come to him as he circled again. Watching her like a hawk with his golden orbs. Mother of his children or not, he needed to make a better name for himself if he was going to fight Imnir again.
However he could feel that he still ached a bit. Phantom pain shot through him causing him to falter for a second. Snarling at it he looked up, still waiting.

Ai snarled as he maneuvered in a way to keep get the dirt of the compound floor riled up, blinding views. It was a cheap shot that Ai particularly didn’t care for, and she would show Erebus just how much she ‘appreciated it’. With her white fangs bared, she narrowed her eyes, charging head first towards the snowy pelted mokai.
There was no taking it easy. When it came to life in the compound, she made sure any personally matters where left outside the arena. She continued to run forward, until she felt her horn hit something soft. She could hear cheers around her (who they were for, she didn’t understand) but whether if they were for her or not, she felt even more pumped to win the battle.

Erebus snarled at the pain as her horn cut into him. He turned to return the favor to her, fangs being the second attack. The cheers made him give a deep threatening growl at Ai. Fighting was something he enjoyed doing, with whomever he could. Plus it made Dorian look appreciative of him, not only could Dorian pay for things with his big bucks, but Erebus could bring in the money with fights.
Getting away from her, he circled again. Closer and closer until he could swipe at her with outstretched paws. Then he extended the sharp claws at the last minute to her face. Wanting to mar her.

She would have smiled in success when the horn hit flesh, but if she did, she would lose her focus. That was one thing Ai couldn’t do at the moment. Everything depending on every move she made. She was a champion, and there was no way she was going to back down. When outstretched claws came at her face, she snarled as the thick bits dug into her cheek. Scooting away from the offending appendage, she glared at Erebus, her ‘famous’ frown plaguing her maw.
“And here I thought you like me.” Ai sounded hurt. Whether or not she was, it was up to Ere to figure out. Without another word, she ran towards the male, preparing for a body slam. A reckless move perhaps, but she had never performed it in battle before.

Erebus didn't reply back to her response to him slashing up her face. Liking her or not wasn't why he was fighting her. Yes, he liked her, but she was a fighter and they'd have turmoil in the ring. If any of his pups grew up to be fighters he'd fight them and put them in their place if he had to. The fighter's ring was cruel and he couldn't let his emotions get too much in the way. Anger however was emotion he'd hold onto here.
He snarled at her as she slammed into him, knocking wind from his lungs. Bucking with his body and with those horns, he used his tail at her face when he turned to her. Again swiping at her face. He may love her, but he loved Dorian more. Now he brandished his fangs at her face and neck.

She wouldn’t fall for the same trick twice. When he reached for her face, she pivoted away from the claws. She wouldn’t like scratches mar her cheek, and then have that nasty yellow antibiotic salve to be put there. In doing so, she had left her neck in open target, and felt his large, saber fangs sinking into it. If it wasn’t for her thick leather collar, she’d probably would have deep puncture wounds there. Instead, her collar showed the ‘just what could have been’ of the attack.
No more Ms. Nice Girl. “It’s a shame, Erebus.” She cooed out, twisted from his grip, stepping back a few feet. “Here I thought we had something special. I guess JB was right when he said you lacked the skills of the fighter.” She was trying to get him as riled up as she could. It made things more intriguing.
She smirked as she waited, eyes glinting from the light that shown down in the compound. It was as if they said 'last chance, come and get me'.

Ai was still trying to goad him and although he didn't let himself fall all the way for the trick, he was grating his teeth at it. "Still trying to goad me Ai? This is a fight, all personal related things mean nothing in the ring." He responded. Now he got ready for a charge at her, his last move before the bell would ring. Digging his paws into the earth he rushed her, ready to slam into her and then throw his head in a skull-bash.

“Hmph.” She snorted, watching the male go into a full on sprint towards her. Ah, a move she had seen way to many times before. When her own head tilted down, she charged at him as well. It was a collision between horns really, as they would be the first part of the body to meet in the head on collision. It was all a matter of strength at the moment, and who’s ‘head was the hardest’. Ai had taken a few hits to her head in previous battles.
She could hear the bell for the battle ring in mid-charge, but she couldn’t stop. She was too close to him to even think about skidding to a halt.
The noise of the compound seem to all go quiet, waiting for the crash of the two fighter mokai.

She was heading towards him and he could see Dorian doing the same, worrying about his mokai. He took careful coordinated steps to make sure he brought his entire body as close to the ground as he could. Feeling her horn just barely scrap against his back he kept from arching in pain, instead clinging to the ground harder and feeling her go over him.
He had lost. Again. One failure after another and he was not too happy about this. With the end of the fight, he glared at the humans. Distasteful bunch. At this moment, he despised them all with the exception of Dorian. Only he was faithful.
"One day." he muttered to himself.

Flying over the male, Ai cursed to herself for missing the target, and Erebus making such a move. Who cared that the battle was over from the sound of the bell, sometimes you just had to finish the attack. She growled as her eyes spotted his master coming into the pit. “Your human shouldn’t be so brash to run into the pit mid attack, Erebus.” She stated simply, turning away from the white male, the father of her children. “He could get hurt.”
Ai trotted back to the attendant at the side of the arena. She was sure JB would be down collecting his money. She was taken away from the pit, to the infirmary where she would checked over. The usual routine she was getting use to.
Tonight she knew too, she’d have something special waiting for her in her bowl. Another win meant a more extravagant dinner.
