It was a typical day, held with the normal ritual's. Student's were hustling and bustling about the thriving academy, the buzzing murmuring of various conversations filling the crisp air. There were duo's, clumps, and packs of them, heterogeneous and homogeneous. There were the occasional lone-rangers, but they were usually working on homework, projects.... boring stuff. Most were, at least... But not Branek. Away from the mainstream path's and locations of the school, the brown clad boy was relaxing under a tree with an impressive wingspan. Since the day wasn't warm, nor particularly cold, his coat was used as a sort of pillow rather than letting it rest against the tough bark. Reclined comfortably, arms crossed, eyes closed, he rested in an area that was somewhat tucked behind a courtyard of the school. Not many ventured to the territory since it didn't hold much more than just a few tree's and bushes. More for show, than anything else. There were a few cuts, and a faint bruise on the fellow's face from a scrap earlier that day. It wasn't often that he'd get into fights, but he rarely ever 'lost'. This time was no different. It had just been a couple of guys trying to look good in front of some dimwitted girls... not all that surprising. But pretty pathetic. Branek made sure to embarrass them thoroughly. He already had a reputation amongst the student society as one to be wary of, and most importantly, avoid. He didn't mind. Kept away the annoying pests that the majority of the his peers were to him. The solitude was delightful, any matter. Listening to the tree's bend and sway as the strong gusts pushed past overhead... the enchanting and charming little chime's of birds flitting along just as well. This was they typical for him. Simple serenity. Away from idiots, and homework.

Well, it might have been a typical day for someone. But while a certain Branek was relaxing the day away, Tora had been practicing a new spell in one of his classes... And ended up accidentally setting off the fire alarms. It, in turn, set off fire sprinklers. Which then soaked him to the bone. Not to mention he then had to then endure the embarrassment of telling the teachers what had happened... And the students staring at him didn't help.
So yes, his day had consisted of him failing miserably, in front of all his classmates, getting soaked, AND pissing off all the teachers. In his mind, the day could not go much worse.
Eventually he was able to get away from all the embarrassment, and escaped outside; To behind the courtyard to be exact, after all no one ever went there. It was obvious that this kitty was upset, his ears were slouching to the side, and his tail wrapped around one of his legs. Every part of his body was wet, and as much he liked this sort of weather, he was beginning to get cold. Taking a quick look around, and not noticing that Branek hidden behind the tree, he morphed into his tiger form and began shaking off all the water. After shaking off quite a bit he took a seat there on the ground. The young adult took a moment to look around again, this time just admiring the scenery. Funny enough, he almost never went outside just to be outside. He didn't enjoy getting dirty, he didn't enjoy listening to the birds... Normally, but today it was actually making him feel a bit better.

It was to no surprise that the lax Branek began to doze off. Who wouldn't in such a setting? The air was somewhat heavy, but not to the point of causing humidity to cling to one's body. But it's texture was apparent, as was the sweet aroma's that wafted, carrying falls bountiful scent. This wasn't uncommon for the rebellious student. Branek would often times skip classes just to take a calm nap. Sure he got plenty of sleep at night, but.. what could a little more hurt? Besides... he didn't feel like writing about the ancient witches who could make grand buildings that were still present today. Good for them. Woo freaking hoo.
It was when the teen reached a stage of balance between consciousness and sleep that the scale tipped more towards being awake. Hazelnut eyes lifted drooping lids as a soft rustling of the grass behind him was heard. It was definitely a distinct sound, one of someone disturbing the uniform blades. Internally, he sighed. Hopefully it wasn't one of those punks from earlier... or worse, some random student coming to set up camp for a study session. Slowly, he shifted so that he was upright, blinking drowsily, and leaning his weight to one side so as to peer around the tree. Surprisingly, he was pleased, or rather intrigued, with what he saw. A tiger. Huh. He didn't see one of those everyday... Watching it for a moment, the fauxhawked boy carefully hoisted himself up onto his feet, and let his presence known to the feline. His gaze didn't deter, only once to check for anymore... or someone who owned it, before returning back to the creature. Strange enough, it looked pretty wet. That dull expression on his face didn't change as he pocketed his hands, and casually approached the big cat, "What are you doing out here, cat?" As if a animal could understand him... but heck, you never knew.

Tora seemed to relax more and more as he sat there, his thoughts couldn't help but wonder back to the incident earlier. He was great with shape-shifting, but other then that he was completely hopeless. How could ever achieve becoming a real witch? This was his last year though, if he waited any longer he'd become a mockery, and he couldn't have that. His parents wouldn't allow such things. He rose a paw to his mouth, as was going to start cleaning himself when he suddenly heard the rustling of grass.
The male witchling turned quickly, surprised to having company all the way over here, was it an animal? That's when saw another young adult, about his size stand from behind the tree. The man walked towards him, and at first Tora was speechless. He had really been caught off guard. But, as the man mentioned a cat he snapped out of being shocked and instead looked annoyed. The mononoke quickly turned back into his human form, his ears still laying back against his head as he continued looking annoyed. " You should probably start wearing glasses if you thought I was some average house cat. I'm a Golden Tiger, Baka boy."
Wasn't Tora so charming?

Branek's gaze drifted off towards where the only entrance to this place was, pondering idly if there were more to come like this. With how wet the tiger looked, seemed like he'd gotten himself into a predicament of sorts. His attention returned, however, as the feline seemed quite displeased, that once intriguingly fierce face now wrinkled in disapproval. Watching with that same careless expression, weight shifting from one foot to the next, having paused just a few steps away from the other, brown eyes didn't at all seemed too surprised when the big cat turned into a human shape just like him. This was his second time witnessing such a feat, and he'd already gotten used to it.
But with this other gent's reply, a slight smirk twitched at the corner of his lips, clearly unfazed by the retort, "I never said you were. You just thought that up on your own." he replied smoothly and casually. How amusing. But he had no idea what the heck a Baka was... so he simply ignored it. Kid's said weird things all the time. He wasn't exactly 'in' with the lingo of his generation's society. He never socialized! Any matter... He eyed this new figure up and down a few times, taking a good long time to pause before continuing on, "Go for a swim?" he asked in the same lackadaisical tone.. perhaps with a slight playful hint in it.

Tora huffed, turned away Branek as he was better then him. This guy had quite the attitude... But look who was talking! After all, at the other guy was being semi playful towards him. Tora was just out right trying to be rude, which didn't seem to effect Branek much anyways. " Well, Tiger's aren't cats. They're felines. Cats are tame, small, and ugly." Tora retorted, hinting that he was the complete opposite.
The next comment that left from the other boys lips urked him a bit, and he turned back to face the other boy quickly. He glared daggers at the other, but honestly he didn't know what to say. If he opposed, then the other might find out about the incident and laugh at him. If he agreed, this guy might ask why in the world someone would go swimming in his cloths. So he paused for a moment, thinking of a reply before folding his arms defiantly," It's none of your business! I just came back here because I thought no one was back here.". With that out of his system and turned away again, pretending like the other was so foolish that he just couldn't stand looking at him.
Truth be told he already kind of admired him. The guy looked and acted so cool. So relaxed, and so peaceful, but not the annoying girly peaceful. A cool, "Nothing can hurt me so why should I worry?", sort of peaceful. If he could be as relaxed then maybe his life would be easier... But his parents weren't just going to disappear. He couldn't just relax and forget about things, he had a responsibility to his family that he had to keep. Like... Marrying a girl, ew.

That smirk twitched again, the faintest sound of a brief chuckle slipping past the small opening at the corner of his lips. Cats, felines... they were the same thing. Couldn't say he thought either was better than the other. Cats were cats, and he liked them all just fine and dandy; domestic or wild. Either or, it didn't really matter all that much. This guy could have his own opinion, and definition, while Branek had his own. So in a reply, he just gave a half-hearted shrug, clearly showing his lack of care on the matter.
A blink was to follow that fierce glare he was receiving, curious by it, but at the same time remaining his neutral disposition. He couldn't blame the guy really for being pissed. It couldn't be all that comfortable being as soaked as he was, in clothing. And it was a saying that some cats didn't like the water all that much... perhaps this applied to the wet kitty before him. Again, another shrug was to follow, eyes closing in the motion. Fair enough, fair enough. He didn't care that much about how they guy into this state. But... it really wouldn't be in his best interest to stay in clothes like that for a long time. Looking off towards the narrow, rather hard to see entrance to this section of serenity, Branek contemplated finding a new area after this. Since it'd been discovered by one, it was likely that others could follow. "Well. You might think about changing. Could get a cold staying in those wet clothes." he glanced back at the disinterested feline, eyeing him once more... especially those animal bits that remained in tact. A very small part of him was envious of such a gift... but the thought didn't linger all that long. Turning on his heels, he began to stroll back towards the tree for which he'd been resting under earlier. Bending before it, he plucked up his jacket, turned, and headed back towards Tora. Ending up behind him, he extended the coat towards the irritated feline, "Here."

Tora couldn't help thinking, as he received a simple shrug as a response, that this guy really was laid back. But he looked so punk rocker... Ahhh, he was quite the envious kitty. Not that showed on his face or anything, he made sure to not give any signs to actually liking the other's attitude... At least, he thought he did. His ears perked up a bit at the mentioning of changing. Well, that's why he had shape shifted wasn't it? But someone had to interrupt that. Yep, it was obviously all Braneks fault.
The mononoke figured the other was going back over to his hiding spot... Or whatever, and turned his back to the tree. He stared up at the leaves above him as he pretend to take no interest in the other, until the suddenly heard that person behind him. His head whipped around, only to see the other boy offering his coat to him.
Tora was at a loss again, and couldn't help blushing... He didn't need it, but it'd been a while sense someone did something so nice for him. Especially sense they were strangers. He couldn't help accepting the coat, taking it gently from the other and taking off his own coat. Once he had it removed, he laid it down upon the grass beside him and put on the others coat. " Thank... Fits like a glove...", He turned away again, this time more embarrassed then mad.

He just stood there calmly, waiting for the other guy to take the jacket. It wasn't a big deal to him. Just doing what made sense. Besides, he hardly ever wore his. Watching the exterior covering slide on just right, he gave a small nod of approval, eyes gliding along the other's figure once, before trailing off to the side elsewhere, "wasn't a bad idea.. changing your form." after all, an animal could get dry faster than a human's body holding clinging clothing.
With the cat now in something a bit more substantial, Branek casually strolled back to the tree he'd taken residence under, to rifle through his satchel. It was supposed to hold school books and supplies, but it was mostly empty... a few books and notebooks here and there. He pulled out a small half of a sandwich that was all wrapped up, stood, and glanced back at his company. Unwrapping the snack, he again returned to casually strolling towards Tora, but at a very leisurely pace, "So you thinking of coming here more often..?" he asked smoothly. If that were the case, he just might need to find a new hiding spot. If word got out about it, well... that'd just be a bother to deal with. The school was vast, so places like these weren't too hard to find. Just a bit of a hassle. With the sandwich half unwrapped, he gave a clean bite into it, eyes venturing back to the mononoke's figure again. His gaze rested mostly on the animal bits once more, internally fastinated, and curious.

The mononoke was still blushing just a bit as the other walked away, wondering why he accepted the coat... Or turned back, he was right, being in his animal form was the smartest. He was just getting flustered over nothing. It was because he was so shy... But of course, this was one of those things he hid deep inside. "Fine, you want to see it again? It'd be better anyways." He took the jacket right back off, throwing it off to the side, unlike his own clothing that he delicately put down.
He waited until the other returned, before shape shifting again, back to his tiger size. This time he was a small bit larger, trying to show off, he was panting quite a bit though. It was hard to increase the size of this form... Even by just a little. When he was older though, he was sure he'd be as big as a shire horse.
The beautiful golden tiger looked up to the other male, his red eyes weren't that beautiful and majestic wild beast Branek knew. Instead it was of an old defeated one, rotting away it's cage. Tora didn't realize this himself though, he was under the assumption that he was as deadly looking as any tiger, even deadlier. Sitting down beside his clothing, he began to speak once again. "Why would I come back to this place? I only came here because I thought no one else would be here." His ears moved back, wondering if he had said too much. His tail moved back again as he worried over it.

Chewing his sandwich bite thoroughly, he watched as the other student once again shifted to his fauna form. It was amazing, Branek had to admit. But he wouldn't be saying that aloud. Grinning slightly, he walked closer to the now slightly larger tiger, looking along the impressive form. It also made the rebellious boy ponder if this tiger acted like his kin in the wild. Eyes skimming along that beautiful crimson coat, streaked with dark 'scars'... he was quiet for a moment before he spoke again, "since you're not a cat, does that mean I can't pet you?" he asked casually. After all, it wasn't everyday you could pet a tiger. It'd be a nice achievement to have for when he got older. How cool would it sound to tell someone that you'd actually pet a live tiger? Pretty darn cool indeed.
Glancing at the soaked clothing, he took another bite of his sandwich, eyes lazily rolling back at the tiger as he spoke again. Hm. Good point. They both seemed to be in the same state of mind. With a slight shrug, Branek gave his acceptance to the answer, "Fair enough." he replied simply. So the place was still his to keep. But why the other guy was coming to hide was a mystery... but something Branek didn't feel like pressing at the moment, "There's lots of other places like this.." he added on idly. They were hard to find, but they were there. After all, the school's territory was huge!

The mononoke began look annoyed again, not appreciating the petting comment. He shook his head a bit, trying to get the left over water off from his sensitive ears before moving towards him, "No, I'm a human being. That's why you can't pet me." He growled up at the other. Sitting down in front of the other, only a few inches away, he pouted. It seemed as if Tora would still let Branek pet him, even though he had said he couldn't. The tiger boy was used to people petting him regardless of what he said, so why bother fighting back against it now?
Tora shook his head to the second response, wondering why Branek was so interested in where he was planning to hide himself. " I only come outside if I must. My room is suitable enough for me, today was just... A coincidence." He stated, turning away from the other. Wondering why he had decided to come outside. It was just the fastest way to get away from others.

That smirk returned, a small shrug motioning with his shoulders, "Yeah.. but you're a tiger, right now." he replied back smoothly. As enticing as the crimson fur looked, and those tiny dawned ears, Branek did nothing about it. The guy had said no, and didn't seem in the best of moods. And Branek was in no mood himself to get a n** to his hand; whether the guy would do that or not, who knew. Regardless.. it was a shame.
Sparing a once over the lovely fur a few more times, those brown eyes slowly rose as the feline form turned away from him. Ah. A hermit type. But... an indoor's one. He gave a subtle nod in acknowledgement, and understanding. After all, he was the same way, except... opposite. He hated staying indoors for too long. Felt trapped, and antsy. Put him in a foul mood, at that. But, to each their own. With Tora's back to him, Branek turned as well to head back to his small set up, kneeling to his bag again, "Well. Don't let me stop you. Go ahead `n groom yourself, or what ever." he casually replied. That's what the guy probably wanted to do anyway. No use staying all soggy. He pulled out another half of the sandwich, inspected it, and began unwrapping it as well, the first half long gone by now. Settling back at the base of the tree, back leaned against the trunk, he ate.. watching Tora from the corner of his eye with mild interest.

With Branek's smirk Tora's pout returned. This guy was just full of himself wasn't he? As if it were to be normal for someone like him to groom himself. He was still a human being under all this fur! All that changed about him was his appearance... And he got a bit stronger... And... And whiskers. But so what?! He wasn't suddenly some wild animal.
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but this didn't to scare a tiger. Tora followed right on over to where Branek had made... A little comfy nest of sorts under the tree. Tora examined over it a bit, curious to why anyone would want to spend there time like this. " Is... This where you hide normally?" Tora asked, thinking that might be why the other was so intent on figuring out if he would ever come again.
Tora blushed at the thought, did the other want him to come back again simply because he was a tiger? Or... Could change into one at least. He must have a been a pretty lonely guy....

Eating his second half of sandwich casually, he was surprised to hear the sound of those paws skating across the semi-tall grass, causing his eyes to cast to the side once more and watch the approaching mononoke. Wasn't going to groom himself, eh? Well, that's fine. His fur would dry fast, anyway. The day was of a nice temperature, and the wind was kind. It'd aid in the process, surely. Chewing the bite thoroughly, a very careless expression, his usual look, on his features, Branek gazed up at the building's roof that was just across and over the tallest tree tops. Smirking some, at Tora's question, he peered back over the cat, giving a curious raise of his brow, "Why.. you wanna come see me again..?" he teased mildly. His tone was just as calm as usual, even with a bit of food tucked in his cheek.
Swallowing his current bite, he slowly began tearing at some of the sandwich, and let it roll onto his palm. Staring at it a bit, he extended said arm towards Tora, just under his maw, offering. Figured it wouldn't be all too nice to eat in front of the guy while he had nothing.
